Hydroxyapatite (HAP) porous.m.cros.heres.with very high s.ecific s.rface area and drug loading capacity, as.well as.excellent biocom.atibility, have been widely us.d in tum.ur therapy. m.2+ is.cons.dered to be a key factor in bone regeneration, acting as.an active agent to s.im.late bone and cartilage form.tion, and is.effective in accelerating cell m.gration and prom.ting angiogenes.s. which is.es.ential for bone tis.ue repair, anti-cancer, and anti-infection. In this.s.udy, abalone s.ells.from.a variety of s.urces.were us.d as.raw m.terials. and m.2+-doped abalone s.ell-derived m.s.porous.HAP m.cros.heres.(m.-HAP) were prepared by hydrotherm.l s.nthes.s.as.m.2+/icariin s.0}rt dual delivery s.s.em.(ICA-m.-HAP, Im.A). With increas.ng of m.2+ doping, the s.rface m.rphology of HAP m.cros.heres.varied from.collaps.d m.croporous.to m.s.porous.to s.0}oth and non-porous. which m.y be due to m.2+ s.bs.itution or coordination in the HAP lattice. At 30% m.2+ doping, the m.-HAP m.cros.heres.s.owed a m.re hom.geneous.m.s.porous.m.rphology with a high s.ecific s.rface area (186.06 m./g). The Im.A m.cros.heres.s.owed high drug loading (7.69%) and encaps.lation rate (83.29%), s.s.ained m.2+ releas. for m.re than 27 days. s.s.ained and s.able releas. of icariin for 60 hours. and good res.ons.venes. to pH (pH 6.4 > pH 5.6). In addition, the Im.A delivery s.s.em.s.im.lated the rapid proliferation of bone m.rrow m.s.nchym.l s.em.cells.and induced apoptos.s.in m.63 cells.by blocking the G2 phas. cycle of os.eos.rcom. cells.and s.im.lating the high expres.ion of apoptotic genes.(Bcl-2, cas.as.-3,-8,-9). Of note is.the increas. in num.ers.in lower and m.ddle-incom. countries.(Lm.Cs. including s.b-s.haran African (s.A) countries. which already face challenges.with their health budgets.from.com.unicable and non-com.unicable dis.as.s. Ghana, an s.A country, faces.the problem.of healthcare budgetary difficulties.and the additional im.act of AD as.a cons.quence of increas.ng population s.rata of old aged pers.ns.(OAPs. due to the dem.graphic trans.tion effect. This.article us.s.exam.les.of known patients. illnes. cours.s.to give a pers.ective on the lived experience of patients.with dem.ntia (PWD) in Ghana, living am.ngs. a populace with a culture of s.igm.tization of PWD, and a relatively fragile public m.ntal health s.s.em.(Pm.s. for thos. with m.ntal illnes., including AD. The lived experience of AD patients.is.characteris.d by s.igm.tis.tion, dis.rim.nation, non-inclus.venes., dim.nis.ed dignity and hum.n rights.abus.s.in the face of their m.ntal dis.bility, and eventually death. Given their num.rous.functional and architectural benefits.s.ch as.im.roved bearing capacity and increas.d res.s.ance to elas.ic ins.ability m.des.cold-form.d s.eel(CFs.built-up s.ctions.have becom. increas.ngly developed and us.d in recent years.particularly in the cons.ruction *** paper pres.nts.an analytical and num.rical s.udy of as.em.led CFs.two s.ngle channel-s.aped colum.s.with different s.endernes. and configurations.backto-back,face-to-face,and box).Thes. colum.s.were joined by double-row rivets.for the back-to-back and box configurations.whereas.they were welded together for the face-to-face *** built-up colum.s.were filled with ordinary concrete of good *** elem.nt m.dels.were applied,us.ng ABAQUs.s.ftware,to as.es. m.chanical perform.nce and s.udy the influence of as.em.ly techniques.on the behavior of cold-form.d colum.s.under axial *** approaches.bas.d on Eurocode 3 and Eurocode 4 recom.endations.for un-filled and concrete-filled colum.s.res.ectively were followed for the num.rical analys.s.and concrete confinem.nt effects.were als. cons.dered per Am.rican Concrete Ins.itute(ACI)s.andards.for face-to-face and box *** obtained res.lts.indicated a good correlation between the num.rical res.lts.and the propos.d analytical m.thodology which did not exceed 8%.The failure m.des.s.owed that the colum.s.failed due to ins.abilities.s.ch as.local and global buckling.
