A pair of unidirectional turbines(UT)can operate in oscillatory airflow without additional ***,this arrangement suffers from poor flow rectification.A fluidic diode(FD)offers variable hydrodynamic resistance based on the flow direction,and this can be coupled with UT to improve flow *** this work,a numerical investigation on the effect of FD with UT is presented using the commercial fluid dynamics software ANsYs Fluent 16.1 with k-ωssT turbulence closure *** domains of UT and FD are numerically validated individually with experimental ***,both are coupled to obtain the combined effect,and these results are compared with the analytical *** was observed that coupling FD with UT improved the unit's performance at the lower flow coefficient(s performance decreased as the flow coefficient *** to the diode's presence,fluid leaving the turbine experiences higher resistance at a higher flow coefficient,which decreases the overall performance of the combined unit.

Presumptive identifcation of different Enterobaeteriaeeae species is routinely achieved based on biochemical properties. Traditional practice includes manual comparison of each biochem- ical property of the unknown sample with known reference samples and inference of its identity based on the maximum similarity pattern with the known samples. This process is labor- intensive, time-consuming, error-prone, and subjective. Therefore, automation of sorting and sim- ilarity in calculation would be advantageous. Here we present a mATLAB-based graphical user interface （GUI） tool named BioCluster. This tool was designed for automated clustering and iden- tification of Enterobacteriaceae based on biochemical test results. In this tool, we used two types of algorithms, i.e., traditional hierarchical clustering （HC） and the Improved Hierarchical Clustering （IHC）, a modified algorithm that was developed specifically for the clustering and identification of within this species. IHC takes into account the variability in result of 1-47 biochemical tests family. This tool also provides different options to optimize the clus- tering in a user-friendly way. Using computer-generated synthetic data and some real data, we have demonstrated that BioCluster has high accuracy in clustering and identifying enterobacterial species based on biochemical test data. This paper deals with the Burgers equation which is the most common model used in the nonlinear conservation laws. Here the theoretical aspect of conservation law is discussed by using inviscid Burgers equation. At first, we introduce the general non-linear conservation law as a partial differential equation and its solution procedure by the method of characteristic. Next, we present the weak solution of the problem with entropy condition. Taking into account shock wave and rarefaction wave, the Riemann problem has also been discussed. Finally, the finite volume method is considered to approximate the numerical solution of the inviscid Burgers equation with continuous and discontinuous initial data. An illustration of the problem is provided by some examples. moreover, the Godunov method provides a good approximation for the problem.

The objective of this research is mainly focused on environment-friendly and moderately slow flapping wind turbine which can easily operate in or near urban areas or rooftops owing to scale merit with low-frequency turbine noise, installation cost, avian mortality rate and safety consideration etc. We considered lift and drag based slow flapping type wind turbine to operate in the residential arena. In order to study the flapping wind turbine performance, we collect ten years of wind velocity records from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department for two different stations in Bangladesh. The velocity contours and profiles have been the points of observation to find out the suitable turbine shape having the efficiency to initiate the turbine rotation. We made a simple comparative study of the wind velocities profile obtained from the different stations in Bangladesh. A simple numerical study has been conducted and presented by graphical analysis to inspect the wind flow above the constructed structure. Finally, we analyze the wind velocity for the individual months and determine the turbine performance in terms of torque for the average wind velocities of Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar stations.

On October 7,2021,a magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck the Harnai(Baluchistan)region of Pakistan,causing several fatalities and injuries within the epicentral ***-order tectonic deformation in this region is caused by the convergence of the Indian Plate with respect to the Eurasian *** Katwaz Block hinders the motion of the Indian Plate,resulting in the formation of strike-slip *** this study,the P-wave first-motion polarity technique was used to determine the mainshock faulting *** scanning of the polarity solutions was applied to determine the most suitable focal mechanism solution among the available solutions generated by the FOCmEC(focal mechanism)*** nodal planes correspond to different faulting styles(i.e.,thrust and strike-slip faulting).A nodal plane oriented in the NW-sE direction corresponded to a strike-slip mechanism,which was considered to be the fault ***,this earthquake was associated with the Harnai-Karahi strike-slip fault zone owing to the fault strike and direction of *** apparent stress drop,fault length,and moment magnitude of the Harnai earthquake were 35.4 bar,6.1 km,and 5.9,respectively.A lower b-value for the Gutenberg-Richter law was observed prior to the ***α-than b-values(α>b)indicate that this earthquake was governed by large events as opposed to small-magnitude *** Harnai sequence had a decay exponent close to unity,lasted for 145 days,and produced few *** study will help the future hazard mitigation in the region.

An exploratory survey was conducted to assess economic profitability of cane based furniture enterprises in Chittagong City Corporation area of Bangladesh. A multistage random sampling was adopted to carry out the study. Based on the total investment the enterprises were divided into large, medium and small.. most of the entrepreneurs （55%） are in the age class 40-50 years and only （18.33%）are ＞50 years. In small and medium category lowest entrepreneurs （8.33% each） are found graduate and 18.33% in large farm. most of the enterprises are in the small category （45%） and 66.67% labors are skilled whereas only 33.33% are unskilled. seven articles of sixteen different sizes were identified made from cane, which are sofa （45 cm × 45 cm, 50 cm × 50 cm and 55 cm × 55 cm）, Dinning （4ch. 1tab,and 6ch. 1tab.）, Bed （1 m × 2m, 1.3 m × 2.3 m and 1.5 m × 2.3 m）, Chair （45 cm × 45 cm and 50 cm ×50 cm）, Rocking chair （large size,medium and small size）, Dolna （Hanging and Running） and Partition. In all the three category enterprises chair （45 cm × 45 cm） was produced in highest number and the lowest production was Bed （1.5 m × 2.3 m）. The total net benefit （2089 Us$） and benefit cost ratio （1：16）was the highest for large cane enterprises. so among three categories of the cane enterprises the large enterprises are more profitable than others.
