market knowledge and Stakeholder Considerations for the Biopharmaceutics Sector—Incorporating User Value and Societal Needs in Therapeutic Interventions

Purpose: many health systems are considered ill-equipped to adequately meet future demand. Although academic entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SmEs) drive health technology innovation, they often suboptimally consider important market and stakeholder requirements. This can result in missed opportunities to improve health system performance, address demand-supply gaps, and achieve financial rewards. market intelligence can provide crucial information in this regard, but scientifically sourced guidance on how to perform market research for biopharmaceutics is scarce. Our objective was, therefore, to create and provide an easily accessible biopharmaceutics market research toolbox that can be perused by academic entrepreneurs and SmEs to improve the alignment of their developments with stakeholder needs. Design: Guided by market orientation theory, we interviewed senior managers and commercialisation experts from the biopharmaceutics sector. We asked them which information they consider most relevant, and how they collect, analyse and respond to new information to align product features, positioning and stakeholder-relationship management with market needs. Findings: Our innovator toolbox consists of a high-level overview of market intelligence considerations mapped against a novel innovation framework, a stakeholder reasoning and value model, and detailed considerations (checklists) per stakeholder of biopharmaceutics interventions. Originality: We provide here the first market orientation-based overview of market intelligence considerations for the biopharmaceutics sector. Although primarily collated for academic entrepreneurs and SmEs, our innovator toolbox for the biopharmaceutics sector can help all stakeholders better understand their orientation towards markets.

Passive Q-switching and Q-switched mode-locking operations of 2 μm Tm:CLNGG laser with moS2 saturable absorber mirror

With moS2 as saturable absorber, passive Q-switching and Q-switched mode-locking operations of a Tm-doped calcium lithium niobium gallium garnet（Tm:CLNGG） laser were experimentally demonstrated. The Q-switched laser emitted a maximum average output power of 62 mW and highest pulse energy of 0.72 μJ. Q-switched mode locking was also obtained in the experiment. The research results will open up applications of moS2 at the mid-infrared wavelength.

＜正＞We evaluated nuclear localization of cultured cancer cells with 111 In-labeled triplex-forming olgonucleotides （TFO） targeting human N-myc gene. Auger emitter labeled TFO could be an ideal vehicle for delivering radiation energy to specific DNA sequences. Polypurine-polypyrimidine sequence in N-myc gene promoter was selected for TFO in assessing resistance of chemotherapy. The TFO sequence was conjugated with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid （DTPA）, followed by radiolabeling with lllIn. Triplex formation between plasmid pCR3N-myc and 111 In-labeled TFO was performed to confirm the quality of radiolabeled TFO. In this work, we consider the flow through composite porous layers of variable permeability, with the middle layer representing a porous core bounded by two Darcy layers. Brinkman’s equation is valid in the middle layer and has been reduced to an Airy’s inhomogeneous differential equation. Solution is obtained in terms of Airy’s functions and the Nield-kuznetsov function.

This study was conducted to determine the effect of tea polyphenols(TP) on production performance,egg quality and hepatic-antioxidant status of laying hens in vanadium containing diets.A total of 300 Lohman laying hens(67-wk-old) were used in a 1 plus 3×3 experiment design that hens were given either a diet without vanadiumand TP supplementation(control) or diets supplemented with 5,10,15 mg V/kg and TP(0,600,1000 mg/kg) diets for 8 wks which included two phases,5 wks accumulation phase and 3 wks depletion *** accumulation phase,dietary vanadium addition decreased(linear,Pmen height and haugh unit(hU),and TP supplementation mitigated(linear effect,Phis reduction effect induced by *** thickness(linear,P m and increased by effect of TP when vanadium-containing dietwas *** depletion phase,the bleaching effect on eggshell induced by vanadium disappeared 1-wk after vanadium *** thickness,eggshell strength,albumen height,hU were lower(Pmg/kg vanadium groupscompared with control diet until 2-wk post vanadium challenge,but hens fed 15mg/kg vanadium and 600mg/kg TP groups shown no difference with control diet onlyafter *** liver,the activity of glutathione Stransferaseswas decreased(linear,P hione peroxidase wasincreased(linear,P h the TP addition at 5wk in accumulation phaseinvanadium-containing diet,the malondialdehyde contents has increased(linear effect,P =0.02) with the addition of *** results indicate that supplementation of 10,15 mg/kg vanadium resulted in reduced albumen quality,bleaching effect on eggshell color and antioxidant stress in *** effect of TP addition can prevent laying hens from the adverse effect of vanadiumon egg quality and shorten the recovery time.

Surface modification was carried out on low carbon steel sheet（JISG3141 SPCC） using Friction Stir Processing（FSP）. The friction stir processing slightly increased the surface hardness of the low carbon steel sheet. In order to significantly increase the surface hardness of the low carbon sheet, WC powder having a size of 5 μm was embedded into the low carbon surface layer using sandwich method where a carbon steel cover is applied on the WC powder present in the groove of 1.5 mm depth ant 3 mm width in the carbon steel sheet and the friction stir processing was applied to the sandwich using WC-Co tools. The cover was applied to prevent the loss of WC particles during processing. SEm and TEm observation showed that the number of passes and the reversing of the direction of rotation in the next passes significantly affected the homogeneity and the distribution of the WC powder in the matrix. moreover, crushing of WC powder to smaller ones was observed. WC fraction area analysis revealed the high density of WC distribution in the matrix. The hardness distribution showed that the surface modified hardness increased to about 700 hV at the mid depth of the surface modified sheet using WC powder compared with 400 and 500 hV at the deeper and shallower levels of depth respectively.

Precipitation of Ni2Al in supersaturated NiAl containing Ta and corresponding hardening have been investigated by hardness measurements and by transmission electron microscope observations. Selected area electron diffraction, high resolution electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer analysis have shown that the Ni2Al with a hexagonal structure precipitates coherently in the B2-NiAl matrix. Ni2Al is an ordered phase with a. unit cell parameter, aNi2All=aNiAl and CNi2Al= aNiAl. The orientation relationship between the Ni2Al precipitate and the B2-NiAl matrix is (0001)Ni2Al (111)NiAl and [1120]Ni2Al[110]NiAl. NiAlhardens appreciably by the precipitation of Ni2Al phase.
