PROTEIN S-ACyL TRANSFERASE 13/16 modulate disease resistance by S-acylation of the nucleotide binding,leucine-rich repeat protein R5L1 in Arabidopsis

Nucleotide binding,leucine-rich repeat(NB-LRR)proteins are critical for disease resistance in plants,while we do not know whether S-acylation of these proteins plays a role during bacterial *** identified 30 Arabidopsis mutants with mutations in NB-LRR encoding genes from the Nottingham Arabidopsis Stock Center and characterized their contribution to the plant immune response after inoculation with Pseudomonas syringae pv tomato DC3000(Pst DC3000).Of the five mutants that were hyper-susceptible to the pathogen,three(R5L1,R5L2 and RPS5)proteins contain the conserved S-acylation site in the N-terminal coiled-coil(CC)*** wild-type(WT)Arabidopsis plants,R5L1 was transcriptionally activated upon pathogen infection,and R5L1 overexpression lines had enhanced *** experiments indicated that R5L1 localized at the plasma membrane(Pm)via S-acylation of its N-terminal CC domain,which was mediated by PROTEIN S-ACyL TRANSFERASE 13/16(PAT13,PAT16).modification of the S-acylation site reduced its affinity for binding the Pm,with a consequent significant reduction in bacterial *** localization of R5L1 was significantly reduced in pat13 and pat16 mutants,similar to what was found for WT plants treated with 2-bromopalmitate,an S-acylationblocking *** plants expressing R5L1 in the pat13 pat16 double mutant showed no enhanced disease *** of R5L1 in WT Arabidopsis resulted in substantial accumulation of reactive oxygen species after inoculation with Pst DC3000;this effect was not observed with a mutant R5L1 carrying a mutated Sacylation *** data suggest that PAT13-and PAT16-mediated S-acylation of R5L1 is crucial for its membrane localization to activate the plant defense response.

By integrating the traditional power grid with information and communication technology, smart grid achieves dependable, efficient, and flexible grid data processing. The smart meters deployed on the user side of the smart grid collect the users' power usage data on a regular basis and upload it to the control center to complete the smart grid data acquisition. The control center can evaluate the supply and demand of the power grid through aggregated data from users and then dynamically adjust the power supply and price, etc. However, since the grid data collected from users may disclose the user's electricity usage habits and daily activities, privacy concern has become a critical issue in smart grid data aggregation. most of the existing privacy-preserving data collection schemes for smart grid adopt homomorphic encryption or randomization techniques which are either impractical because of the high computation overhead or unrealistic for requiring a trusted third party.

Structural evolution of plasma sprayed amorphous Li_(4)Ti_(5)O_(12) electrode and ceramic/polymer composite electrolyte during electrochemical cycle of quasi-solid-state lithium battery

A quasi-solid-state lithium battery is assembled by plasma sprayed amorphous Li_(4)Ti_(5)O_(12) to provide the outstanding electrochemical stability and better normal interface *** Electron microscope(SEm),Scanning Transmission Electron microscopy(STEm),Transmission Electron microscopy(TEm),and Energy Dispersive Spectrometer(EDS)were used to analyze the structural evolution and performance of plasma sprayed amorphous LTO electrode and ceramic/polymer composite electrolyte before and after electrochemical *** comparing the electrochemical performance of the amorphous LTO electrode and the traditional LTO electrode,the electrochemical behavior of different electrodes is *** results show that plasma spraying can prepare an amorphous LTO electrode coating of about 8μ*** 200 electrochemical cycles,the structure of the electrode evolved,and the inside of the electrode fractured and cracks expanded,because of recrystallization at the interface between the rich fluorine compounds and the amorphous LTO ***,the ceramic/polymer composite electrolyte has undergone structural evolution after 200 test *** electrochemical cycle results show that the cycle stability,capacity retention rate,coulomb efficiency,and internal impedance of amorphous LTO electrode are better than traditional LTO *** innovative and facile quasi-solid-state strategy is aimed to promote the intrinsic safety and stability of working lithium battery,shedding light on the development of next-generation high-performance solid-state lithium batteries.

High-spin structure in ^(187)Pt

High-spin states in 187Pt were studied via the 173yb(18O,4n) reaction. Rotational bands based on the νi13/2,ν7/2-[503],νi213/2νj,ν3/2-[512] and ν1/2-[521] configurations were observed,and interpreted within the framework of the cranked shell model. The TRS calculations show that the νi13/2 band has an appreciable negative γ deformation,and the negative-parity bands tend to have a near prolate shape with small positive γ values. Experimental values of B(m1) /B(E2) ratios have been extracted and compared with theoretical values from the semi-classical D-nau and Frauendof approach,strongly suggesting a low frequency πh9/2 alignment in the ν7/2-[503] band.

Clastic compaction unit classification based on clay content and integrated compaction recovery using well and seismic data

Compaction correction is a key part of paleogeomorphic recovery methods. yet, the influence of lithology on the porosity evolution is not usually taken into account. Present methods merely classify the lithologies as sandstone and mudstone to undertake separate porositydepth compaction modeling. However, using just two lithologies is an oversimplification that cannot represent the compaction history. In such schemes, the precision of the compaction recovery is inadequate. To improve the precision of compaction recovery, a depth compaction model has been proposed that involves both porosity and clay content. A clastic lithological compaction unit classification method, based on clay content, has been designed to identify lithological boundaries and establish sets of compaction units. Also, on the basis of the clastic compaction unit classification, two methods of compaction recovery that integrate well and seismic data are employed to extrapolate well-based compaction information outward along seismic lines and recover the paleo-topography of the clastic strata in the region. The examples presented here show that a better understanding of paleo-geomorphology can be gained by applying the proposed compaction recovery technology.

Verification and fine-mapping of QTLs conferring days to flowering in soybean using residual heterozygous lines

Proper orthogonal decomposition analysis of coherent motions in a turbulent annular jet

A three-dimensional incompressible annular jet is simulated by the large eddy simulation(LES)method at a Reynolds number Re=*** time-averaged velocity field shows an asymmetric wake behind the central bluff-body although the flow geometry is *** proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)analysis of the velocity fluctuation vectors is conducted to study the flow dynamics of the wake *** distribution of turbulent kinetic energy across the three-dimensional POD modes shows that the first four eigenmodes each capture more than 1%of the turbulent kinetic energy,and hence their impact on the wake dynamics is *** results demonstrate that the asymmetric mean flow in the near-field of the annular jet is related to the first two POD modes which correspond to a radial shift of the stagnation *** modes 3 and 4 involve the stretching or squeezing effects of the recirculation region in the radial *** addition,the spatial structure of these four POD eigenmodes also shows the counter-rotating vortices in the streamwise direction downstream of the flow reversal region.

Novel Hf_(x)Ta_(1−x)C solid solution nanowire toughened HfC coating:An effective strategy for synchronous enhanced mechanical and anti-ablation performance

Ultra-high-temperature ceramic nanowires have shown increasing potential for use as thermal structural ***,novel single-crystal Hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)C solid solution nanowires were synthesized and incorporated with a HfC coating to construct a robust structure with Hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)C solid solution nanowires uniformly distributed and interconnected within the *** novel Hf_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)C solid solution nanowires could effectively hinder crack propagation through crack tip pinning and crack *** mechanism substantially enhanced the elastic modulus and fracture toughness of the HfC coating by 53.29%and 59.67%,*** toughened HfC coating displayed superior fracture toughness and good interfacial binding strength with the substrate to resist severe oxidation and ***,the high thermal conductivity of the toughened HfC coating promoted heat ***,in comparison to the pure HfC coating,the toughened HfC coating displayed smaller mass and linear ablation rates of−0.35 mg·s^(−1)and−0.46μm·s^(−1),which decreased by 39.66%and 36.98%,*** work not only simultaneously enhances the mechanical properties and ablation resistance of HfC-coated carbon/carbon(C/C)composites but also provides novel prospects for advanced ultrahigh-temperature ceramic nanowires under extreme conditions.
