During the development of the nervous system,there is an overproduction of neurons and *** competition between neighboring nerve endings and synapses performing different activity levels leads to their elimination or *** have extensively studied the involvement of the brain-derived neurotrophic factor-Tropomyosin-related kinase B receptor neurotrophic retrograde pathway,at the neuromuscular junction,in the axonal development and synapse elimination process versus the synapse *** purpose of this review is to describe the neurotrophic influence on developmental synapse elimination,in relation to other molecular pathways that we and others have found to regulate this *** particular,we summarize our published results based on transmitter release analysis and axonal counts to show the different involvement of the presynaptic acetylcholine muscarinic autoreceptors,coupled to downstream serine-threonine protein kinases A and C(PKA and PKC)and voltage-gated calcium channels,at different nerve endings in developmental *** dynamic changes that occur simultaneously in several nerve terminals and synapses converge across a postsynaptic site,influence each other,and require careful studies to individualize the mechanisms of specific *** describe an activity-dependent balance(related to the extent of transmitter release)between the presynaptic muscarinic subtypes and the neurotrophin-mediated TrkB/p75NTR pathways that can influence the timing and fate of the competitive interactions between the different axon *** downstream displacement of the PKA/PKC activity ratio to lower values,both in competing nerve terminals and at postsynaptic sites,plays a relevant role in controlling the elimination of supernumerary ***,calcium entry through L-and P/Q-subtypes of voltage-gated calcium channels(both channels are present,together with the N-type channel in developing nerve terminals)contributes to red

Seasonal variations of phytoplankton diversity in the Coleroon coastal waters,southeast coast of India

The results of an investigation carried out during June 2005 to may 2007 on physico-chemical parameters,species composition and community structure of phytoplankton including Chlorophyll a（Chl-a） at the Coleroon coastal waters（Southeast coast of India） are *** and surface water temperatures（℃） varied from 25.1 to 30.1 and from 24.5 to 28.5 *** values varied from 6 to 28.5 and the pH ranged between 7.0 and *** in dissolved oxygen content was from 3.1 to 7.5 mg/dm^3 while the light extinction coefficient values（LEC） ranged between 3.1 and 10.1 *** ranges of inorganic nutrients（μmol/dm^3） viz.,nitrate,nitrite,phosphate and silicate were 10.1-23.4,1.2-8.9,0.2-3.1 and 55-125,*** ranges of Chlorophyll a（μg/dm-3） values was ***,124 phytoplankton species representing different classes viz：Bacillariophyceae（77）,Dinophyceae（19）,Cyanophyceae（15）,Chlorophyceae（10） and Chrysophyceae（3） were *** phytoplankton cell abundance varied from 0.290 to 111.662 cells/cm-3,with peak diversity（3.38 bits/ind.） during summer *** maximum abundance was found during summer season coinciding with the stable hydrographical *** seasonal distribution and abundance of phytoplankton are discussed in relation to hydrographical *** Correspondence Analysis（CCA） was applied in this paper for discriminating environmental factors having effect on phytoplankton community at species *** coastal water is subjected to long term fluctuations in physico-chemical parameters depending upon the seasonal tidal amplitude and freshwater influx resulting in a continuous exchange of organic,inorganic,plant and animal matters.

Recent reports suggest that aging is not solely a physiological process in living beings;instead, it should be considered a pathological process or disease(Amorim et al., 2022). Consequently, this process involves a wide range of factors, spanning from genetic to environmental factors, and even includes the gut microbiome(Gm)(mayer et al., 2022). All these processes coincide at some point in the inflammatory process, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, at different degrees in various organs and systems that constitute a living organism(mayer et al., 2022;AguilarHernández et al., 2023).

Recent advances on quasi-solid-state electrolytes for supercapacitors

Solid-state and quasi-solid-state electrolytes have been attracting the scientific community’s attention in the last decade. These electrolytes provide significant advantages, such as the absence of leakage and separators for devices and safety for users. They also allow the assembly of stretchable and bendable supercapacitors. Comparing solid-state to quasi-solid-states, the last provides the most significant energy and power densities due to the better ionic conductivity. Our goal here is to present recent advances on quasisolid-state electrolytes, including gel-polymer electrolytes. We reviewed the most recent literature on quasi-solid-state electrolytes with different solvents for supercapacitors. Organic quasi-solid-state electrolytes need greater attention once they reach an excellent working voltage window greater than 2.5 ***, aqueous-based solid-state electrolytes have a restricted voltage window to less than 2 v. On the other hand, they are easier to handle, provide greater ionic conductivity and capacitance. Recent water-in-salt polymer-electrolytes have shown stability as great as 2 v encouraging further development in aqueous-based quasi-solid-state electrolytes. moreover, hydrophilic conductive polymers have great commercial appeal for bendable devices. Thus, these electrolytes can be employed in flexible and bendable devices, favoring the improvement of portable electronics and wearable devices(376 references were evaluated and summarized here).

Euxinia as a dominant process during OAEla(Early Aptian)on the Eastern Russian Platform and during OAElb(Early Albian)in the middle Caspian

A detailed study of the mineral composition and microstructure of the black shales associated with OAE1 a （Eastern Russian Platform）, OAElb （middle Caspian）, and the host rocks has been carried out using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopic, and microprobe analyses. The results provide important constraints for depositional environments in the sedimentary basins. Black shales with pyrite framboids imply euxinic （sulfidic） conditions with increased organic matter preservation. Disintegrating framboids suggest partial or complete dissolution of the organic matter inside the framboids due to increasing water oxygenation. OAEla on the Eastern Russian Platform is heterogeneous as it includes thin interbeds of concretionary coccolith limestones within the interval of bituminous shales, and correlates with the Lower Aptian Rhagodiscus angustus nannofossil zone. The coccolith limestones indicate short intermittent episodes of interrupted stagnation, rapid oxygenation, and restoration of normal marine conditions. The presence of montmorillonite, albite, microcline, and diopside in the bituminous siltstones and in the host siltstones of OAEla on the Eastern Russian Platform, as well as a high content of titanium in the black siltstones correlated with OAEIb in the middle Caspian allow proposing significant input of pyroclastic material into the extant sea.

The global lunar image of the first phase of Chinese Lunar Exploration Program is the first image that covered all over the surface of the moon. It will serve as a critical foundation for succeeding exploration and scientific research. In this paper, the acquisition, characteristics, and data quality of Chang'E-1 CCD image data are described in detail. Also described are the methodology and procedure of data processing. According to rule of planetary cartography, the image data have been processed, geometrically corrected, and then mosaicked and merged in a scale of 1:2.5 million. The results of data processing and charting show that the image data of Chang'E-1 CCD and their geometric precision meet the demand of charting a map in the scale of 1:2.5 million. The relative geometric positioning precision of the global image is better than 240 m, and the absolute geometric positioning precision is slightly better than that of the ULCN2005 and Clementine lunar basemap (v2.0). The plane positioning precision is approximately 100-1500 m. This global image proves to be the best global image of the moon so far in terms of space coverage, image quality, and positioning precision.

Giga- and terahertz-range nanoemitter based on peapod structure

We propose a theoretical model of a nanoemitter for giga- and terahertz-range waves. The model is based on a peapod structure comprising a carbon nanotube with chiral indices （10, 10）. Three encapsulated and partially polymerized fuUerene C60 molecules and a positively charged C60 fullerene are trapped inside the nanotube. The motion of the charged fullerene and the radiation frequency were controlled using an external electric field. Stable terahertz radiation at a frequency of 0.36 THz was produced at 300 K with an external electrical field of 10 v/μm. Stable radiation in the gigahertz range was observed at 50 K with an electric field below 10 v/m. A theoretical simulation was performed using the tight-binding molecular dynamics method with a description of the van der Waals interaction by the morse potential. The system described by the theoretical model was experimentally observed.

Influence of thermal conditions on the electrocaloric effect in a multilayer capacitor based on doped BaTiO_(3)

We present the results of studies of thermal expansion,heat capacity,permittivity,polarization and the influence of different thermal conditions on the intensive electrocaloric ffect(ECE),△T_(AD),in a commercial multilayer capacitor based on doped BaTiO_(3).Investigations in a wide temperature range revealed one anomaly in the behavior of the physical properties at about 290 K characteristic for the *** measurements showed a high reversibility of ECE under equilibrium thermal *** agreement was found between the values of△T_(AD) determined by direct and indirect measurements at the electric field up to 15.4 kv/***-isothermal conditions lead,firstly,to decrease of large△T_(AD)≈0.94 K obtained in adiabatic conditions under E=308 kv/cm to 0.87 K,and,secondly,the appearance of a difference between the values of △T^(ON) and△T^(OFF) determined when the electric field is applied and *** this phenomenon and changing the frequency of the periodic electric field,E=15.4 kv/cm,the efect of cooling was obtained equal to[(OT^(ON)+AT^(OFF))/2]_(max)=-0.032 *** results obtained are useful for further development of the electrocaloric refrigeration technique without thermal switches.

A solvable model of lateral line of a fish based on a wave equation with additional boundary conditions on a set of isolated points is *** the framework of this model it is shown that the ratio of pressures on lateral lines on different fish flanks,as well as the cross section of sound scattering on both the lines,strongly depends on angles of incidence of incoming sound *** strong angular dependence of the pressure ratio seems to be sufficient for the fish to determine the directions from which the sound is coming.

INTRODUCTIONImmunohistochemistry and immune electron microscopy were used to determine the keratin and collagen Ⅰ polypeptides expressed in gastric mucosa and gastric cancer. We found that the canceration of gastric epithelia and the infiltration and metastasis of gastric cancer are closely related with cellular skeleton and extracellular matrix[1]. The in situ hybridization (ISH) technique, developed by Gall and Pardue in 1969[2,3], has become an essential tool for detecting the localization of synthesis and abundance of RNA transcripts on tissue sections. With a K6 (mr 56 000) keratin cDNA probe and a collagen Ⅰα1-chain cDNA probe, the cDNA-mRNA ISH technique was used to study changes of keratin mRNA and collagen Ⅰ mRNA expression in gastric mucosa and gastric cancer.
