Controlled release of TDI and hence the cure characteristics of several blocked TDI with HTPB are reported. The reactions were followed through viscosity measurements as a function of time and temperature under the catalytic influence of triethylamine. The effect of nature of substituents present on the end capping substrate, temperature, solvent, basicity of catalyst and kinetics thereon have been studied.

Using the skyrme energy density formalism, a pocket formula is introduced for barrier heights and positions of 95 fusion reactions(48≤ZPZT≤1520) with respect to the charge and mass numbers of the interacting nuclei. It is shown that the parameterized values of RBand vBare able to reproduce the corresponding experimental data with good accuracy. moreover, the absolute errors of our formulas are less than those obtained using the analytical parametrization forms of the fusion barrier based on the proximity versions. The ability of the parameterized forms of the barrier heights and its positions to reproduce the experimental data of the fusion cross section have been analyzed using the Wong model.

The two-ponding depth （TPD） analysis procedure of single-ring infiltrometer data can yield invalid results, i.e., negative values of the field-saturated soil hydraulic conductivity or the matric flux potential, denoting failure of the two-level run. The objective of this study was to test the performance of the TPD procedure in analyzing the single-ring infiltrometer data of different types of soils. A field investigation carried out in western Sici]y, Italy, yielded higher failure rates （40%） in two clay loam soils than in a sandy loam soil （25%）. A similar result, i.e., fine-textured soils yielding higher failure rates than the coarse-textured one, was obtained using numerically simulated infiltration rates. Soil heterogeneity and reading errors were suggested to be factors determining invalid results in the field. With the numerical data, allowing a less generic definition of soil heterogeneity, invalid TPD results were occasionally obtained with the simultaneous occurrence of a high random variation （standard deviation ≥ 0.5） and a well developed structural correlation for saturated hydraulic conductivity （correlation length 〉 20 cm）. It was concluded that a larger number of replicated runs should be planned to characterize fine-textured soils, where the risk to obtain invalid results is relatively high. Large rings should be used since they appeared more appropriate than the small ones to capture and average soil heterogeneity. Numerical simulation appeared suitable for developing improved strategies of soil characterization for an area of interest, which should also take into account macropore effects.

In this paper, we present a new computational approach for solving an internal optimal control problem, which is governed by a linear parabolic partial differential equation. Our approach is to approximate the PDE problem by a nonhomogeneous ordinary differential equation system in higher dimension. Then, the homogeneous part of ODES is solved using semigroup theory. In the next step, the convergence of this approach is verified by means of Toeplitz matrix. In the rest of the paper, the optimal control problem is solved by utilizing the solution of homogeneous part. Finally, a numerical example is given.

Prediction of magnetospheric Disturbances Caused by a Quasi-Stationary Solar Wind

When predicting parameters of quasi-stationary Solar Wind (SW) streams at 1 AU, it is customary to use, as the indicator of solar sources, the Bases of Open magnetic Tubes (BOmT) on the solar surface obtained via a calculation relying on a new Bd-technique of harmonic expansion of the magnetic field from daily full-disk magnetograms developed by Rudenko[4]. By considering an example of 17 events, it is shown that the correspondence between fast SW streams at the Earth's orbit and the BOmT, calculated with ≤ 24 h time resolution, makes up about 94%, while the correspondence of SW stereams with the CH in the light of the 10830 A line is about 29%. With this technique, the predictability of maxima of the Kp index of magnetospheric disturbance caused by a fast quasi-stationary SW, is over 90%, and the prediction accuracy of the maximun velocity vm of the stream is ±15%.

Quartzites are widespread within Earth's lithosphere, but their highly pure varieties occur quite infrequently. With the development of alternative energy sources, including solar, and with increasing demand for high-purity quartz for optics, interest has risen in highpurity silicon-bearing materials. The quartzites discovered in the southeast part of the Eastern Sayan mountains are particularly attractive for exploration in terms of their raw material quality and feasibility to be enriched. For this reason, their genesis also merits study. Available geochemical data show that chemogenic(d^(18)O>29.2%)siliceous-carbonate sediments of the Irkut Formation are fairly pure(impurity elements m), and that half the impurities are easily removed carbonate components of the rock. Bedded quartzites remote from the intrusive granitoids and near-contact quartzites were recognized based on geochemical and petrographic data. Influenced by the Sumsunur granitoids, the near-contact quartzites originally contained >0.9% impurities, but later, under the action of sliding slabs of ophiolite dynamothermal treatment reduced impurities to m, resulting in ‘‘superquartzites' '(highly pure quartzites). The presence of only minor structural impurities is due to the enrichment capacity of superquartzites to 10.1 ppm(7.2 ppm under special conditions) of 10 elements: Fe, Al, Ti, Ca, mg, Cu,mn, Na, K, and Li.
