In this paper,an irregular displacement-based lensless wide-field microscopy imaging platform is presented by combining digital in-line holography and computational pixel super-resolution using multi-frame processing.The samples are illuminated by a nearly coherent illumination system,where the hologram shadows are projected into a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor-based imaging sensor.To increase the resolution,a multi-frame pixel resolution approach is employed to produce a single holographic image from multiple frame observations of the scene,with small planar displacements.Displacements are resolved by a hybrid approach:(i)alignment of the LR images by a fast feature-based registration method,and(ii)fine adjustment of the sub-pixel information using a continuous optimization approach designed to find the global optimum solution.Numerical method for phase-retrieval is applied to decode the signal and reconstruct the morphological details of the analyzed sample.The presented approach was evaluated with various biological samples including sperm and platelets,whose dimensions are in the order of a few microns.The obtained results demonstrate a spatial resolution of 1.55 μm on a field-of-view ofmm^(2).

Camelina(Camelina sativa L.)is famous for its oil quality and unique fatty acid pattern.Growth and yield of crops reduced under water deficit conditions.Environmental threat such as drought or water deficit condition is the emerging problem which creates the negative impact on the growth of plants.Based upon the current situation a pot study was performed in rain out-shelter to explore the effect of different plant densities(15,10 and 5 plants per pot)on growth and seed yield of two camelina genotypes under normal(100%WHC)and water deficit(60%WHC)conditions by using completely randomized design with factorial arrangement having three replicates.Results indicated that individual effects of plant densities and water deficit stress levels considerably influenced the growth and seed yield of camelina but interaction effects did not indicate any significant variation.maximum values of leaf area index(LAI)and crop growth rate(CGR)were recorded in P_(3) treatment(15 plants per pot).However,maximum values of leaf area duration(LAD),net assimilation rate(NAR),yield and yield components were observed in the treatment P_(1)(5 plants per pot).Water deficit condition(60%WHC)significantly minimized the growth,seed yield(0.82 g/m^(2))and yield components of camelina genotypes.Both camelina genotypes(611 and 618)did not differ significantly under water deficit conditions.

Abstract: HCC is the 6th most common cancer in the world. The main risk factors associated with HCC are hepatitis B (HBV) and hepatitis C viral infections and other factors that play a role in HCC development, include aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) cigarette smoking, and chronic inflammation. The aim of this study is to investigate lipid peroxidation and some antioxidant enzyme activities in patients with primary and metastatic liver cancer. For this purpose, 25 primary and metastatic liver cancer patients and 15 healthy controls were included in the study. In blood samples taken from the patient and control groups, the main product of lipid peroxidation mDA and SOD, GSH, GPx activity levels were examined. In result of study serum mDA level is higher and erythrocyte SOD, GSH, and GPx activities were found to be significantly lower in the patient group compared with the control group (p 0.05). As a result, liver cancer is associated with oxidative stress and antioxidant system weakens, which is an important indicator of oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation levels increased and promotes the tissue damage.

Objective: To investigate matrix metalloproteinases(mmP)-2 and mmP-9 inhibitory effect of Salsola komarovii Iljin, an edible halophyte with health beneficial effects.methods: Salsola komarovii crude extracts(SKI), and solvent(n-hexane, 85% aq. meOH, n-BuOH, and H2O) fractionated extracts of SKI were prepared. Gelatin zymography was carried out to observe mmP enzymatic activity. The release of the mmP enzymes was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Expression of mmPs in m RNA and protein level were investigated by polymerase chain reaction analysis and immunoblotting, respectively.Results: SKI and SKI fractions inhibited active mmP-2 and mmP-9 amount in the treated cell culture medium. Also, SKI suppressed the release of mmP-2 and mmP-9 from stimulated HT1080 human fibrosarcoma cells. Furthermore, SKI suppressed the m RNA and protein expression of mmP-2 and mmP-9. SKI fractions showed parallel effects except for H2O fraction which did not yield any significant mmP inhibitory effect. Among fractions, 85% aq. me OH was the most active fraction to inhibit both the enzymatic effect and expression of mmP-2 and mmP-9.Conclusions: SKI may contain potential mmP release inhibitory compounds. Salsola komarovii is a promising source of compounds against mmP and could be utilized in the development of antitumor agents.

The ability to predict the likelihood of impurity incorporation and their electronic energy levels in semiconductors is crucial for controlling its conductivity,and thus the semiconductor’s performance in solar cells,photodiodes,and optoelectronics.The difficulty and expense of experimental and computational determination of impurity levels makes a data-driven machine learning approach appropriate.In this work,we show that a density functional theory-generated dataset of impurities in Cd-based chalcogenides CdTe,CdSe,and CdS can lead to accurate and generalizable predictive models of defect properties.

目的:评估雷珠单抗反应欠佳患者治疗早期转为阿柏西普治疗疗效。方法:该研究包括38例湿性年龄相关性黄斑变性(W-AmD)患者。18例反应欠佳患者改用玻璃体内阿柏西普(IVA)每月3次疗法,其余20例反应欠佳患者持续进行玻璃体内雷珠单抗(IVR)治疗,每月增加3次使用。所有改变均行荧光素血管造影术(FA)和光学相干断层扫描成像术(OCT)评估。结果:患者术前平均视力(VA)和黄斑中心厚度(CmT)分别为0.84±0.47 logm AR和360±84μm。经过6次IVR或3次IVR联合3次IVA治疗1mo后,两组患者视力分别为1.1±0.14(P=0.11)logm AR和0.48±0.37(P=0.019)logm AR,黄斑中心厚度分别为300±79μm(P=0.002)和271±51μm(P=0.002)。结论:对于雷珠单抗治疗反应欠佳患者,减少重复性治疗早期转为使用阿柏西普疗法对于视力康复是更好的选择。

Introduction: Common bile duct stone (CBDS) is a common clinical problem that can cause serious complications, such as acute cholangitis and pancreatitis. It is important to have an accurate, safe, and reliable method for the definitive diagnosis of CBDS before proceeding to therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancrea-tography (ERCP). Objective: To compare the accuracy of trans-abdominal ultra-sound (TAUS) as a diagnostic tool at our institution—Kurdistan Centre for Gastroen-terology & Hepatology (KCGH)—with invasive tool like ERCP in the diagnosis of bile duct stones, using specificity, sensitivity, and positive and negative predictive values. Patient and method: After obtaining ethical committee approval & informed consent from every patient. This was a prospective study conducted on 71 patients (24 male patients and 47 females patients) where suspected to have CBDS depending on history, clinical suspicion and blood tests. Their ages range between (2 - 88 years). Both TAUS and ERCP were performed. Final diagnosis was confirmed de-pending on ERCP as it served as a diagnostic standard in diagnosing CBDS. Result: In 71 patients suspected to have CBDS by TAUS, only 46 patients had stone (65%), and 55 patients had stone by ERCP (77%). In our result, sensitivity, specificity, pos-itive predictive value and negative predictive value for TAUS were 80%, 87.5%, 65.5% and 56%, respectively. Conclusion: TAUS can play an important role as an initial screening procedure for CBDS detection because of the various advantages like easy availability, cost effectiveness, no requirement of contrast material and lack of ionizing radiation but should done with other imaging modality to avoid se-rious complication of ERCP.

目的:比较单用贝伐单抗与贝伐单抗联合曲安奈德治疗糖尿病黄斑水肿疗效。方法:回顾性比较随机研究。对21例42眼黄斑水肿的糖尿病患者进行了评估。单眼内注射1. 25 mg贝伐单抗(IVB组),在同组的眼玻璃体内注射1. 25 mg贝伐单抗和1 mg曲安奈德(IVTA-IVB组)。使用光学相干断层扫描(OCT)、ETDRS视力和眼压测量黄斑中心厚度(CmT)。结果:平均随访时间为4. 7±1. 5mo。在IVB组和IVTAIVB组中,注射前平均CmT分别为494. 7±114. 4μm,546. 8±165. 6μm;第一个月分别为430. 4±133. 2μm,363. 7±105. 3μm;第三个月分别为484. 8±167. 4μm,407. 3±108. 7μm;六个月后分别为550. 4±191. 5μm,516. 8±158μm。第一个月和第三个月存在显著差异(P <0. 05)。在IVB组和IVTA-IVB组中,注射前平均ETDRS视力数分别为57. 1±13. 5,48. 9±13. 9;第一个月分别为2. 2±14,58. 8±12. 1;第三个月分别为59±13. 7,59. 3±13. 6;第六个月分别为55. 6±14. 9,55. 5±8. 7。第三个月和第六个月存在显著差异(P<0. 05)。IOP无差异。第一次注射后IVTA-IVB组在第三个月时视力最佳并持续6个月,而IVB组在第一个月时视力最佳但仅持续了3个月。结论:6个月后发现,IVTA-IVB组较IVB组疗效显著,且无激素依赖性并发症。

For sustainable plant drinks production,the biorefinery concept of obtained press cakes(PC)using ultrasonication,mechanical separation,and ultra-filtration was designed in Fraunhofer UmSICHT(Germany).In this study obtained permeates,as wastes after ultrafiltration of PC(soyabeans,almonds,coconut,oats,and rice)were analyzed and their bio-stimulatory effect on the growth of wheatgrass in vivo was investigated.Permeates with higher soluble protein content(soy,almonds,and coconut)resulted in a significant increase in germination parameters(germination percentage(GP),length of stem and root as well as biomass of stem and root increased on averge by 8.3%,15.8%,9.2%,2.22 times and 1.8 times,respectively)compared to the control treatment.Additionally,the fermentation using antimicrobial lactic acid bacteria(LAB)strains(Lactobacillus brevis LUHS173,Pediococcus acidilactici LUHS236 and Lactobacillus farraginis LUHS206)was applied for bio-treatment of permeates.The efficiency of fermentation process was evaluated on the changes of pH,TTA,LAB growth kinetics and lactic acid and its isomers production.Furthermore,the antifungal activity of selected fermented products against fungi(Fusarium graminearum F,F.graminearum,and F.culmorum)was determined.It was found that the highest antifungal activity(18.0 mm and 16.5 mm,respectively)was obtained by 48 h fermentation of permeates from grain press cake(oats and rice),containing the most reducing saccharides,and they significantly improved the germination of contaminated grains.Innovations in the sustainable production of plant-origin drinks enable to implementation of new,environmentally friendly technologies in food sector.
