This paper proposes an efficient method for optimal power flow solution （OPF） using particle swarm optimization （PSO） technique. The objective of the proposed method is to find the steady state operation point in a power system which minimizes the fuel cost, while maintaining an acceptable system performance in terms of limits on generator power, line flow limits and voltage limits. In order to improvise the performance of the conventional PSO （cPSO）, the fine tuning parameters- the inertia weight and acceleration coefficients are formulated in terms of global-local best values of the objective function. These global-local best inertia weight （GLBestlW） and global-local best acceleration coefficient （GLBestAC） are incorporated into PSO in order to compute the optimal power flow solution. The proposed method has been tested on the standard IEEE 30 bus test system to prove its efficacy. The results are compared with those obtained through cPSO. It is observed that the proposed algorithm is computationally faster, in terms of the number of load flows executed and provides better results than the conventional heuristic techniques.

In the present study,we propose a novel electrode material ofβ-nickel hydroxide covering nickel/aluminum layered double hydroxides via a facile complexation–precipitation *** as-obtained materials with 3-dimensional nanostructures are further utilized as highly capable electrode material in nickel–metal hydride *** electrochemical test results demonstrated theβ-nickel hydroxide covering nickel/aluminum-layered double hydroxides with 28%ofβ-nickel hydroxide provided a superior specific capacity value of 452 m A·h·g-1 in a current density of 5 A·g-1 using 6 m KOH as electrolyte as compared with other *** addition,the optimized sample displays an outstanding cyclic stability along with a huge specific capacity value of320 m Ah·g-1,and very small decay rate of 3.3%at 50 A·g-1 after 3000 cycles of charge/discharge *** indicate that the newly designed material with nanostructures not only provides an efficient contact interface between electrolyte and active species and facilitates the transport of electrons and ions,but also protects the 3-dimensional nickel/aluminum layered double hydroxides,achieving a high specific capacity,fast redox reaction and excellent long-term cyclic ***,theβ-nickel hydroxide covering nickel/aluminum layered double hydroxides with superior electrochemical performance is predictable to be a gifted electrode material in nickel–metal hydride batteries.

N6-methyladenosine(m6A)is the most common and abundant modification of RNA molecules,including mRNAs,microRNAs(miRNAs),and long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs).1 The m6A modification is catalyzed and dynamically regulated by recently discovered enzymes termed“writers”(methyltransferases including mETTL3,mETTL14,and WTAP),“erasers”(demethylases including FTO and ALKBH5)and“readers”(m6A-binding proteins including YTHDC1,YTHDC2,YTHDF1,YTHDF2,and YTHDF3).These modifications were recently shown to be involved in the regulation of different biological processes.

The semi-arid mangroves of the Gulf of Kachchh,the largest ecosystems on the west coast of India,are poorly studied in terms of vegetation structure and environmental parameters in spite of their conservation ***,it is necessary to document the structural features of these mangroves in view of ongoing coastal industrial *** forest structure in 10 locations on the northern and southern coasts of the Gulf of Kachchh were assessed using the line intercept transect *** included density of young and mature age classes,tree heights,diameters at breast height(DBH)and aboveground biomass,along with seven significant environmental *** tree densities ranged from 350 to 1567 ***-1,while average height and girth at breast height ranged from 1.0 to 6.8 m and 3.0 to 137.0 cm,*** majority of trees(55.6%)were in B 1.8 m height class followed by a 1.9 to 2.4 m class(25.1%).DBH was most often in class 2 cm or lower than *** the canopy index classes,more trees were recorded in class ≤2 *** regeneration density was greater than the recruitment *** study indicates that the poor structural attributes of Avicennia marina *** Stapf and mold dominated mangroves are largely due to aridity induced by scarce and erratic rainfall and high soil and water *** results should be valuable in conserving and sustainably managing these mangroves in the face of developmental activities.

Lithium-metal batteries(LmBs)are considered as one of the most promising energy storage devices due to the high energy density and low reduction potential of the Li-metal ***,the growth of lithium dendrites results in accumulated dead Li and safety issues,limiting the practical application of ***_(3)is a well-known additive in lithium-sulfur batteries to regulate the solid-electrolyte interphase(SEI),effectively suppressing the redox shuttle of ***,other nitrates have been investigated in various electrolyte and battery systems,yielding improved SEI stability and cycling *** this review,we provide an overview of various nitrates,including LiNO_(3)for lithium batteries,focusing on their mechanisms and *** first discuss the effect of nitrate anions on SEI formation,as well as the cathode-electrolyte interphase(CEI).The solvation behavior regulated by nitrates is also extensively *** strategies to improve the solubility of LiNO_(3)in ester-based electrolytes are then summarized,followed by a discussion of recent progress in the application of nitrates in different ***,further research directions are presented,along with *** review provides a comprehensive understanding of nitrates and affords new and interesting ideas for the design of better electrolytes and battery systems.

Designing a durable lithium metal anode for solid state batteries requires a controllable and uniform deposition of lithium, and the metal lithium layer should maintain a good interface contact with solid state electrolyte during cycles. In this work, we construct a robust functional interface layer on the modified LiB electrode which considerably improves the electrochemical stability of lithium metal electrode in solid state batteries. It is found that the functional interface layer consisting of polydioxolane, polyiodide ion and Li TFSI effectively restrains the growth of lithium dendrites through the redox shuttle reaction of I-/I3-and maintains a good contact between lithium anode and solid electrolyte during cycles. Benefit from these two advantages, the modified Li-B anode exhibits a remarkable cyclic performance in comparison with those of the bare Li-B anode.

Pancreatic cancer carries a terrible prognosis,as the fourth most common cause of cancer death in the Western *** is clearly a need for new therapies to treat this *** of the reasons no effective treatment has been developed in the past decade may in part,be explained by the diverse influences exerted by the tumour *** tumour stroma cross-talk in pancreatic cancer can influence chemotherapy delivery and response ***,appropriate preclinical in vitro models which can bridge simple 2D in vitro cell based assays and complex in vivo models are required to understand the biology of pancreatic *** we discuss the evolution of 3D organotypic models,which recapitulare the morphological and functional features of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC).Organotypic cultures are a valid high throughput preclinical in vitro model that maybe a useful tool to help establish new therapies for PDAC.A huge advantage of the organotypic model system is that any component of the model can be easily modulated in a short *** allows new therapies that can target the cancer,the stromal compartment or both to be tested in a model that mirrors the in vivo situation.A major challenge for the future is to expand the cellular composition of the organotypic model to further develop a system that mimics the PDAC environment more *** discuss how this challenge is being met to increase our understanding of this terrible disease and develop novel therapies that can improve the prognosis for patients.
