Slow Pyrolysis of Sugarcane Bagasse for the Production of Char and the Potential of Its By-Product for Wood Protection

Sugarcane bagasse was pyrolyzed using a laboratory fixed bed reactor to produce char and its by-product(pyrolysis liquid).The pyrolysis experiments were carried out using different temperatures(400℃ and 500℃),heating rate(1℃/min and 10℃/min),and holding time(30 min and 60 min).Char was characterized according to its thermal properties,while the pyrolysis liquid was tested for its anti-fungal and anti-termite *** temperature and heating rate had a significant influence on the char properties and the yield of char and pyrolysis liquid,where a high-quality char and high yield of pyrolysis liquid can be obtained at a temperature of 500℃ and a heating rate of 10℃/*** yield of char and pyrolysis liquid was 28.97%and 55.46%,*** principal compounds of pyrolysis liquid were water,acetic acid,glycolaldehyde,1-hydroxy-2-propanone,methanol,formic acid,levoglucosan,furfural,followed by some phenol compounds and guaiacol *** liquid at a concentration of 0.20%and 0.25%(v/v)caused a 100%inhibition of Coniophora puteana and Trametes versicolor,respectively,when performing inhibition growth tests in Petri *** paper treated with 10%of pyrolysis liquid caused 100%of termite mortality,while only 5.65%–7.03%of the treated filter papers consumed by termites at such *** liquid is potentially effective to be used in the formulation of wood protection against fungi and termites.

针对当前半监督集成学习算法对无标记样本预测时容易出现的标注混沌问题,文中提出基于分类风险的半监督集成学习算法(Classification Risk-Based Semi-supervised Ensemble Learning Algorithm,CR-SSEL).采用分类风险作为无标记样本置信度的评判标准,可有效衡量样本标注的不确定性程度.迭代地训练分类器,对高置信度样本进行再强化,使样本标注的不确定性逐渐降低,增强半监督集成学习算法的分类性能.在多个标准数据集上验证CR-SSEL的学习参数影响、训练过程收敛和泛化性能提升,实验表明随着基分类器个数的增加,CR-SSEL的训练过程呈收敛趋势,获得较优的分类精度.

观测点分类器(OPC)是一种试图通过将多维样本空间线性不可分问题转换成一维距离空间线性可分问题的有监督学习模型,对高维数据的分类问题尤为有效。针对OPC在处理大数据分类问题时表现的较高训练复杂度,在Spark框架下设计一款基于大数据的随机样本划分(RSP)的分布式OPC(DOPC)。首先,在分布式计算环境下生成大数据的RSP数据块,并将它转换为弹性分布式数据集(RDD);其次,在RSP数据块上协同式地训练一组OPC,由于每个RSP数据块上的OPC独立训练,因此有高效的Spark可实现性;最后,在Spark框架下将在RSP数据块上协同训练的OPC集成为DOPC,对新样本进行类标签预测。在8个大数据集上,对Spark集群环境下实现的DOPC的可行性、合理性和有效性进行实验验证,实验结果显示,DOPC能够以更低的计算消耗获得比单机OPC更高的测试精度,同时相较于Spark框架下实现的基于RSP模型的神经网络(NN)、决策树(DT)、朴素贝叶斯(NB)和K最近邻(KNN),DOPC分类器具有更强的泛化性能。测试结果表明,DOPC是一种高效低耗的处理大数据分类问题的有监督学习算法。

三角形计数是大图分析的一个经典问题,近年的研究工作主要集中在针对静态流式图的三角形数量估计上,相关流式图抽样算法只能处理边的插入操作,无法处理边的删除操作;而现有的动态流式图抽样算法估计准确性又偏低.针对上述问题,提出了基于边哈希分配的分布式抽样(edge hashing assignmentbased distributed sampling,EHADS)算法,它是一个用于估计动态流式图中三角形数量的分布式流算法,可以快速准确地估计动态流式图中的全局三角形数量以及每个顶点的局部三角形数量.EHADS算法只对输入的图流进行1次处理,并在多台机器上对边进行抽样.与先进的单机流算法相比,EHADS算法具有2点优势:1)在相同样本容量的情况下,EHADS算法以更短的运行时间获得了更小的估计误差,估计全局三角形数量的误差平均降低了31.79%,估计局部三角形数量的误差平均降低了23.35%;2)EHADS算法能够提供流式图中三角形数量的无偏估计,并且严格的数学证明显示该无偏估计具有更小的方差.

Observation points classifier ensemble for high-dimensional imbalanced classification

In this paper,an Observation Points Classifier Ensemble(OPCE)algorithm is proposed to deal with High-Dimensional Imbalanced Classification(HDIC)problems based on data processed using the multi-Dimensional Scaling(mDS)feature extraction ***,dimensionality of the original imbalanced data is reduced using mDS so that distances between any two different samples are preserved as well as ***,a novel OPCE algorithm is applied to classify imbalanced samples by placing optimised observation points in a low-dimensional data ***,optimization of the observation point mappings is carried out to obtain a reliable assessment of the unknown *** experiments have been conducted to evaluate the feasibility,rationality,and effectiveness of the proposed OPCE algorithm using seven benchmark HDIC data *** results show that(1)the OPCE algorithm can be trained faster on low-dimensional imbalanced data than on high-dimensional data;(2)the OPCE algorithm can correctly identify samples as the number of optimised observation points is increased;and(3)statistical analysis reveals that OPCE yields better HDIC performances on the selected data sets in comparison with eight other HDIC *** demonstrates that OPCE is a viable algorithm to deal with HDIC problems.

A novel observation points‐based positive‐unlabeled learning algorithm

In this study,an observation points‐based positive‐unlabeled learning algorithm(hence called OP‐PUL)is proposed to deal with positive‐unlabeled learning(PUL)tasks by judiciously assigning highly credible labels to unlabeled *** proposed OP‐PUL algorithm has three ***,an observation point classifier ensemble(OPCE)algorithm is constructed to divide unlabeled samples into two categories,which are temporary positive and permanent negative ***,a temporary OPC(TOPC)is trained based on the combination of original positive samples and permanent negative samples and then the permanent positive samples that are correctly classified with TOPC are retained from the temporary positive ***,a permanent OPC(POPC)is finally trained based on the combination of original positive samples,permanent positive samples and permanent negative *** exhaustive experimental evaluation is conducted to validate the feasibility,rationality and effectiveness of the OP‐PUL algorithm,using 30 benchmark PU data *** show that(1)the OP‐PUL algorithm is stable and robust as unlabeled samples and positive samples are increased in unlabeled data sets and(2)the permanent positive samples have a consistent probability distribution with the original positive ***,a statistical analysis reveals that POPC in the OP‐PUL algorithm can yield better PUL performances on the 30 data sets in comparison with four well‐known PUL *** demonstrates that OP‐PUL is a viable algorithm to deal with PUL tasks.

Immunotoxic effects of an industrial waste incineration site on groundwater in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

The discharge of organic waste from the petrochemical industry into the mercier lagoons caused major groundwater contamination. The objective of this study was to determine the immunotoxic potential of three groundwater wells at increasing distance from the incinerator dumping site （1.17, 2.74 and 5.40 km）. Rainbow Trout were exposed to increasing concentrations of water from three groundwater wells for 14 days. Immunocompetence was characterized by phagocytosis, mitogen-stimulated proliferation of lymphocytes, cell cycle analysis and apoptosis. A significant increase in innate （phagocytosis） and specific immune response （B lymphocyte proliferation） was observed in trout exposed to water collected from the well at 2.74 km. However, phagocytosis activity was suppressed in groups at 1.17 and 5.40 km. The proportion of lymphocytes in S phase was significantly increased in groups at 2.74 and 5.40 kin, while lymphocytes in G0/G1 phase were decreased in all three exposure groups. Additionally, dexamethasone （DEX）-induced apoptosis of lymphocytes was significantly reduced in the group at 2.74 km, which suggests decreased lymphocyte turnover. Furthermore, the ratio of DEX- induced apoptosis/apoptosis was lower in the groups at 2.74 and 5.40 km. In summary, our experiments have shown that exposure to the mixture of organic compounds present in mercier groundwater modulates phagocytosis and cell proliferation, disrupts the cell cycle and reduces the ratio of DEX- induced apoptosis/apoptosis. It is concluded that groundwater collected in the vicinity of an incinerator containment field could impact immunocompetence in fish.
