Spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas account for the majority of spinal vascular *** are typically located in the thoracolumbar region and are diagnosed in the middle-aged and elderly *** spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas have been postulated to be acquired,their exact development remains ***,the arteriovenous shunt is situated close to the spinal nerve root,inside the dura mater,where the blood from the radiculomeningeal artery and radicular vein *** history,there have been multiple classification systems of spinal arteriovenous shunts since *** were mainly based on the evolution of diagnostic studies as well as the treatment of these *** classification systems have undergone significant changes over the *** intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula,spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is progressive in *** neurological manifestations,due to venous congestion,tend to be insidious as well as *** include sensory deficits,such as paresthesia,bilateral and/or unilateral radicular pain affecting the lower limbs,and gait *** dural arteriovenous fistulas can be suspected on magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography and confirmed by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).The management includes surgery,endovascular therapy,and in selected cases,*** treatment goal of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is to halt the progression of the *** prognosis depends on both the duration of symptoms as well as the clinical condition prior to *** present article comprehensively reviews the pathophysiology,changes in classification systems,natural history,clinical manifestations,radiological features,management,and prognosis.

DFT Study of Poly Furfuryl Alcohol-Rhodamine B Blend

A theoretical study of poly furfuryle alcohol (PFA), rhodamine B (Rh B) dye and their blends (PFA-Rh B) is carried out by using the density functional theory (DFT). Electronic states and opto-electronic properties are investigated. The electronic states indicate that the oligomers of FA are insulators and Rh B is a wide band gap semiconductor. Their blends have a narrow band gap of about 0.75 eV. The optoelectronic properties are studied using TDDFT, which indicates that the chain length of poly furfuryl alcohol is an effective parameter to control both energies and intensities of absorption in which longer chain causes absorption with high intensity within long wavelength. A single broad baned of electron excitations is more like 8-oligomer-RhB case, which centers at wavelengths about 599 nm and 625 nm. This band of absorption covers the whole visible region of spectrum.

Spinal cord injury remains a major cause of disability in young adults,and beyond acute decompression and rehabilitation,there are no pharmacological treatments to limit the progression of injury and optimize recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of the complement system in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinflammation,a similar role for complement in spinal neuroinflammation is a focus of ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of complement in spinal cord injury including the sources of complement proteins,triggers of complement activation,and role of effector functions in the *** study relevant data demonstrating the different triggers of complement activation after spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to damage-associated molecular *** effector functions of complement have been implicated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of complement anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while emphasizing the lack of pathophysiological understanding of the role of opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we systematically review the different translational approaches used in preclinical models of spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges for future translation into human *** review emphasizes the need for future studies to dissect the roles of different complement pathways in the pathology of spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of involvement of opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of complement in white matter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplement genetic models.

Delineation and correlation of Dragon Spring Shear Zone with its deep-level structures at foreland have been studied by field *** paper reports our new findings of thrust-fold structures within Taihang Neoarchean basement,which include flat thrusts,large-scale recumbent folds,subhorizontal foliation patterns,*** reveals that early tectonic evolution of North China clearly involves the horizontal contraction on a large scale,comparable to those of foreland of classical collisional orogenic *** vertical variation of struc-tural patterns with foreland fold-thrust belt from shallow to deep levels has been documented for Taihang *** structural correlation,which is associated with tectonic transposition and imbrication of basement complex with supracrustal sequences in the Neoarchean.

Stability Solution of the Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation

In this paper we discuss stability theory of the mass critical, mass-supercritical and energy-subcritical of solution to the nonlinear Schrodinger equation. In general, we take care in developing a stability theory for nonlinear Schrodinger equation. By stability, we discuss the property: the approximate solution to nonlinear Schrodinger equation obeying with e small in a suitable space and small in and then there exists a veritable solution u to nonlinear Schrodinger equation which remains very close to in critical norms.

AC current automatic calibration using two different TCC designs

AC currents are automatically calibrated by two different thermal current converter(TCC)*** two designs are different in the used number of the thermal-elements(TEs).Consequently they differ in their output electro motive force(EmF).Studying the effect of changing the output EmF is done in this paper through calibrating AC currents.5 mA and 5 A are accurately calibrated at different frequencies 55 Hz,1 kHz and10 kHz by the two TCCs.A comparison is made between the results to evaluate the effect of the output EmF value on the accuracy and the uncertainty of the low and higher AC current calibration.A LabVIEW program is designed for this accurate automatic calibration to overcome the problems of the manual calibration on the thermal converters.

Heavy metals in Lipstick Products marketed in Saudi Arabia

The present study reports the content of 14 heavy metals (Al, Fe, Ti, Ag, As, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn) in twenty-two (n = 22) lipstick products of imported and locally manufactured at the local market in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia using Inductivity Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrophotometer (ICP-OES). The overall average contents of Al, Fe, Ti, Ag, As, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn were 3131.18 ± 0.09, 9642.92 ± 0.079, 46.59 ± 0.109, 0.545 ± 0.009, 2.041 ± 0.024, 1371.439 ± 0.085, 0.134 ± 0.008, 4.242 ± 0.02, ND, 3.934 ± 0.03, 19.712 ± 0.012, 20.196 ± 0.056, 0.725 ± 0.012, and 858.666 ± 0.083 μg/g, respectively. The correction coefficient of the results is up to 0.9995, showing an excellent linear relationship between metal concentrations in samples. The results also revealed that, the total concentrations of toxic metals in various samples ranged from 1201.35 - 60,800.36 μg/g. The dark-colored lipstick samples 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 7B, B8, 9B, and 10B revealed high content of total toxic metals compared to the light-colored lipstick samples 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 4C, 5A, 7A, 8A, 9A, and 10A. The concentrations of Al, Fe, Ba, and Zn in the samples within each class under investigation are relatively high whereas the concentrations of Ag, As, Cd, Co, Cu, and Pb are lowest;and Ti, mn, and Ni contents were below 100 μg/g. Chromium was not detected in any sample. Since no safe limits for most of these metals relating to cosmetic products are available in Saudi Arabia, it is hard to ascertain whether the values obtained in this study are relatively high or low. Prolonged use of products containing these elements may pose a threat to human health and could damage the environment.

＜正＞In this paper, we present a performance analysis of a system with two multiplexers in tandem. Each multiplexer is fed by an external arrival process that consists of the superposition of the traffic generated by independent binary markov sources. Further, the output of the first multiplexer is fed into the second multiplexer according to an independent Bernoulli process. The probability generating function （PGF） of the queue length distribution for the second multiplexer is derived;from that the expression for the mean queue length has been determined.

Identification of thermal front dynamics in the northern malacca Strait using ROmS 3D-model

The thermal front in the oceanic system is believed to have a significant effect on biological *** an era of climate change,changes in heat regulation between the atmosphere and oceanic interior can alter the characteristics of this important *** the simulation results of the 3D Regional Ocean modelling System(ROmS),we identified the location of thermal fronts and determined their dynamic variability in the area between the southern Andaman Sea and northern malacca *** Single Image Edge Detection(SIED)algorithm was used to detect the thermal front from model-derived *** show that a thermal front occurred every year from 2002 to 2012 with the temperature gradient at the location of the front was 0.3°C/*** to the years affected by El Ni?o and negative Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD),the normal years(e.g.,may 2003)show the presence of the thermal front at every selected depth(10,25,50,and 75 m),whereas El Ni?o and negative IOD during 2010 show the presence of the thermal front only at depth of 75 m due to greater warming,leading to the thermocline deepening and enhanced *** may 2003,the thermal front was separated by cooler SST in the southern Andaman Sea and warmer SST in the northern malacca *** higher SST in the northern malacca Strait was believed due to the besieged malacca Strait,which trapped the heat and make it difficult to release while higher chlorophyll a in malacca Strait is due to the freshwater conduit from nearby rivers(Klang,Langat,Perak,and Selangor).Furthermore,compared to the southern Andaman Sea,the chlorophyll a in the northern malacca Strait is easier to reach the surface area due to the shallower thermocline,which allows nutrients in the area to reach the surface faster.
