In Vitro Efficacy Assessment of Botanical Extracts against Botrytis gladiolorum Causing Gladiolus Leaf Blight

An experiment was conducted at the mycology laboratory, Department of Plant Pathology, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh to find out the efficacy of selected botanical extracts against Botrytis gladiolorum (Bg) causing gladiolus leaf blight. Infected leaves samples were collected from gladiolus farmers’ field and brought to the laboratory for study. Ten selected botanicals were used against the colony growth of (Bg). The botanicals were mehendi, Chrysanthemum, Basil (Tulsi), Onion, Neem, Bael, Arjuna, Garlic, Aloevera (Ghritkumary) and Turmeric. Botanical extracts were applied at the rate of 5%, 10% and 20%. The radial mycelia growth was found minimum (11.60 mm) in garlic extract treated plate at the dose of 5% at 5 DAI, which was statistically similar with turmeric extract treated (14.00 mm) plate and the inhibition of growth was 60% and 51.72%, respectively. Similar trend was found at 10 DAI and 15 DAI. At 15 DAI, garlic and turmeric extract gave the best result against Bg, which was statistically similar with onion (50.07% inhibition) and mehendi (49.93%). All botanicals showed significantly different results over control and found effective in reducing the mycelial growth at the dose of 10%. At 5 DAI, no radial mycelia growth was found in garlic treated plate, which was statistically similar with onion treated plate, means that the inhibition of growth was 100%. Similar trend was also found at 10 DAI, and 15 DAI but at 15 DAI, onion (30.20 mm) gave the statistically similar results with Garlic (30.10 mm) and the mycelia growth inhibition was (57.70%) and (57.84%), respectively. In case of 20% dose, garlic extract showed the best result at 5 DAI and the radial mycelia growth was found minimum (00.00 mm) which was statistically similar with onion extract treated (00.00 mm) plate and turmeric extract treated plate. 研究双辊铸轧和冷轧AA5083铝合金在H321应变硬化态下的显微组织和力学性能。通过15°倾斜后双辊铸轧机在490 mm/min铸造速度下制备厚8.90 mm、宽1260 mm厚板,板材表面完好。经520°C均匀化处理后,材料冷轧至6.30 mm和3.85 mm两种厚度的板材,并在370°C进行中间退火和180°C进行稳定化退火。光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜研究表明金属间化合物颗粒主要聚集在晶界处,这也是拉伸断口中晶粒剥离的原因。另外,力学性能研究表明,经过均匀化处理后,晶界偏聚消除,合金的伸长率得到提高。由于在冷轧阶段得到足够大的压下量,3.85 mm厚板的性能符合ASTm B 290m标准的H321态性能。

Prediction of the burden of road traffic injuries in Iran by 2030: Prevalence, death,and disability-adjusted life years

Q-switched Er-doped fiber laser with low pumping threshold using graphene saturable absorber

We propose a Q-switched Er-doped fiber laser （EDFL） with a threshold pumping power as low as 7.4 mW, and demonstrate using graphene polyvinyl alcohol （PVA） thin film as a passive saturable absorber （SA）. The SA is fabricated from graphene flakes, which is synthesized by electrochemical exfoliation of graphite at room temperature in 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate aqueous solution. The flakes are mixed with PVA solution to produce a thin film, which is then sandwiched between two ferrules to form a SA and integrated in the EDFL ring cavity to generate a stable Q-switched pulse train. The pulse train operates at 1560 nm with a threshold pump power of 7.4 roW. At maximum 1480 nm pump power of 33.0 roW, the EDFL generates an optical pulse train with a repetition rate of 27.0 kHz and pulse width of 3.56/as. The maximum pulse energy of 39.4 nJ is obtained at a pump power of 14.9 roW. This laser can be used as a simple and low-cost light source for metrology, environmental sensing, and biomedical diagnostics.

In the present study,we investigated the synergistic effects of targeted methotrexate-selenium nanostructure containing myc decoy oligodeoxynucleotides along with X-irradiation exposure as a combination therapy on LNCaP prostate cancer *** decoy ODNs were designed based on the promoter of Bcl-2 gene and analyzed by molecular docking and molecular dynamics *** were loaded on the synthesized Se@BSA@Chi-mTX *** physicochemical characteristics of nanostructures were determined by FTIR,DLS,UV-vis,TEm,EDX,in vitro release,and hemolysis ***,the cytotoxicity properties of them with and without X-irradiation were investigated by uptake,mTT,cell cycle,apoptosis,and scratch assays on the LNCaP cell *** results of DLS and TEm showed negative charge(−9 mV)and nanometer size(40 nm)for Se@BSA@Chi-DEC-mTX NPs,*** results of FTIR,UV-vis,and EDX showed the proper interaction of different parts and the correct synthesis of *** results of hemolysis showed the hemocompatibility of this nanoparticle in concentrations less than 6 mg/*** ODNs release from the nanostructures showed a pH-dependent manner,and the release rate was 15%higher in acidic *** targeted Se@BSA@Chi-labeled ODN-mTX NPs were efficiently taken up by LNCaP cells by targeting the prostate-specific membrane antigen(PSmA).The significant synergistic effects of nanostructure(containing mTX drug)treatment along with X-irradiation showed cell growth inhibition,apoptosis induction(~57%),cell cycle arrest(G2/m phase),and migration inhibition(up to 90%)compared to the *** results suggested that the Se@BSA@Chi-DEC-mTX NPs can potentially suppress the cell growth of LNCaP *** nanostructure system can be a promising approach for targeted drug delivery and chemoradiotherapy in prostate cancer treatment.

A rapid, efficient, and facile synthesis of an assortment of C-2 substituted imidazopyrazines has been achieved by utilizing the palladium catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling of 2-bromo-1H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyrazine with various boronic acids under microwave irradiation. The utilization of（A-^（ta）phos）_2PdCl_2 as a catalyst in combination with Cs F as base and DmE-H_2O（4：1） as the solvent system at 100℃ procured the diaryls in acceptable to excellent yields. Prominent features of this developed methodology include short reaction times, fewer side products, and exceptional tolerance to a wide variety of functional groups.

A Tm-Bi Co-Doped Fiber Laser with Dual Pumping Operation

We demonstrate an efficient fiber laser operating at 1901.6 nm using a newly developed thulium bismuth co-doped fiber(TBF)with dual pumping at 792 nm and 1552 *** fiber was fabricated using modified chemical vapor deposition and solution doping *** dopant concentrations(wt%)and compositions inside the core are 0.15 Bi_(2)O_(3),0.3 Tm_(2)O_(3),1.0 Al_(2)O_(3) and 12.0 GeO_(2).The TBF laser operates at 1901.6 nm with a lasing efficiency of 33.2%and pump power threshold of 85 mW using a 2-m-long TBF in a linear cavity with two fiber Bragg gratings(FBGs).The high efficiency is attributed to the use of additional 1552 nm pump to complement 792 nm *** maximum output power of 225 mW is achieved at the pump power of 820 mW with the optimum length of 2 m.
