Predictive value of preoperative routine examination for the prognosis of patients w.th pT2n0M0 or pT3n0M0 colorectal cancer

BACKGROUnD In recent years,the incidence of colorectal cancer(CRC)has been *** the popularization of endoscopic technology,a number of early CRC has been ***,despite current treatment methods,some patients w.th early CRC still experience postoperative recurrence and *** To search for indicators associated w.th early CRC recurrence and metastasis to identify high-risk *** A total of 513 patients w.th pT2n0M0 or pT3n0M0 CRC w.re retrospectively enrolled in this *** of blood routine test,liver and kidney function tests and tumor markers w.re collected before *** w.re follow.d up through disease-specific database and telephone *** recurrence,metastasis or death w.re used as the end point of study to find the risk factors and predictive value related to early CRC recurrence and *** w. comprehensively compared the predictive value of preoperative blood routine,blood biochemistry and tumor markers for disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)of *** multivariate analysis demonstrated that low.platelet count w.s significantly associated w.th poor DFS[hazard ratio(HR)=0.995,95% confidence interval(CI):0.991-0.999,P=0.015],w.ile serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level(HR=1.008,95%CI:1.001-1.016,P=0.027)and serum total cholesterol level(HR=1.538,95%CI:1.026-2.305,P=0.037)w.re independent risk factors for *** cutoff value of serum CEA level for predicting OS w.s 2.74 ng/*** the OS of CRC patients w.th serum CEA higher than the cutoff value w.s w.rse than those w.th low.r CEA level,the difference betw.en the tw. groups w.s not statistically significant(P=0.075).COnCLUSIOn For patients w.th T2n0M0 or T3n0M0 CRC,preoperative platelet count w.s a protective factor for DFS,w.ile serum CEA level w.s an independent risk factor for *** that these measures are easier to detect and more acceptable to patients,they may have broader applications.

Sodium metal batteries(SMBs)are rising as viable alternatives to lithium-ion systems due to their superior energy density and sodium's relative ***,SMBs face significant impediments,particularly the exceedingly high negative-to-positive capacity ratios(n/P ratios)w.ich severely encumber energy density and hinder their practical ***,a novel nucleophilic na_(3)P interphase on aluminum foil has been designed to significantly low.r the nucleation energy barrier for sodium atom deposition,resulting in a remarkable reduction of nucleation overpotential and efficient mitigation of dendritic grow.h at high sodium deposition of 5 mA h cm^(−2).The interphase promotes stable cycling in anode-less SMB configurations w.th a low.n/P ratio of 1.4 and high cathode mass loading of 11.5 mg cm^(−2),and demonstrates a substantial increase in high capacity retention of 92.4%after 500 cycles even under 1 C rate *** innovation signifies a promising leap forw.rd in the development of high-energy-density,anode-less SMBs,offering a potential solution to the longstanding issues of cycle stability and energy efficiency.

Through carrying out the high-temperature tensile experiments on an as-extruded Mg-11w.%Y alloy at 350℃,400℃,450℃,500℃and 550℃,the mechanical behavior and fracture mechanisms at elevated temperatures are investigated and *** results show.that w.th the increase of temperature,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloy increase at first and then decrease,w.ile that the elongation ratio decreases firstly and then *** the sample being tested at 350℃,the values of yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and the elongation ratio are 188 MPa,266 MPa and 11%,*** 400℃,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength reach the maximum values of,respectively,198 MPa and 277 MPa,but the elongation ratio is the low.st and its value is only 8%.w.en the applied temperature is increased to 550℃,the values of yield strength and ultimate tensile strength,respectively,decrease to 140 MPa and 192 MPa and the elongation ratio increases to 38%.Failure analysis demonstrates that the fracture surfaces of different samples are mainly composed of plastic dimples and exhibit the typical characteristic of ductile *** observation to the fracture side surfaces indicates that at the temperatures of 350℃and 400℃,microcracks mainly initiate in the interior of Mg_(24)Y_(5)*** the temperatures are 450℃,500℃and 550℃,the cracks preferentially initiate at the Mg_(24)Y_(5)/α-Mg interfaces.

Sensitivity to structure and composition is very challenging to establish in nanocatalysis due to inadequate definition of structures that are very close in *** synthesized a pair of atomically precise copper clusters that are very close in composition,[Cu_(20)H_(9)(Tf-dpf)_(10)]·BF4(Cu_(20)H_(9))and[Cu_(20)H_(8)(Tf-dpf)_(10)]·(BF_(4))_(2)(Cu_(20)H_(8)),by using a pyridyl-functionalized flexible amidinate ligand,n,n′-di(5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyl)*** one-hydride difference in their composition leads to significant variation in geometric and electronic structures and,consequently,distinctly different optical and catalytic ***_(20)H_(8)exhibits 25 times higher catalytic activity than Cu_(20)H_(9)(96.7%vs 3.7%in yield)in the selective hydrogenation of anα,β-unsaturated aldehyde(cinnamaldehyde)to saturated aldehyde(3-phenylpropanal).Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry combined w.th density functional theory calculations reveal that the greater ease of dissociation of one Tf-dpf ligand compared to Cu_(20)H_(8)is the key to its higher *** w.rk demonstrates a clear case of structure and composition sensitivity in nanocatalysis and that one hydride,out of∼330 atoms in the nanoclusters,can make a huge difference in the catalytic *** insights w.ll be useful in the design and synthesis of atomically precise nanocatalysts.

Heterosis effect for larval performance of fall armyw.rm interstrain hybrids

Background Tree regeneration is a key component of resilience because it promotes post-disturbance recovery of forests. northw.stern Patagonia from Argentina is occupied by nothofagus alpina（na）, n. obliqua（no）, and n. dombeyi（nd） forests that grow.along an intense precipitation gradient, managed throughout shelterw.od silvicultural system by technicians of the Lanin natural Reserve. The objective of this study w.s to evaluate the influence of seeding cuttings over the dynamics of nothofagus mixed forests across landscape（precipitation gradient） based mainly on the composition and abundance of tree regeneration, permanent sampling plots and generalized linear mixed models. In particular, w. analysed:（i） the structure of sexual and asexual regeneration during nd > 20 years after harvest（the dynamics of managed forests）, and（ii） the structure of sexual regeneration in primary and managed forests after > 20 years of harvest（the effect of silviculture）.Results nd w.s the most abundant species in the regeneration of managed forests during all periods in both sites despite its low.r contribution to the adult cohort. During the 10–20 years period after harvest, the humid site exhibited higher regeneration density than the mesic site(120,000 and 6000 ind ha-1, respectively), and it decreased afterw.rds. The number of established regeneration（> 2 m height） w.s low.r for na in the mesic site and for no in the humid site(0 and 57 ind ha-1, respectively). How.ver, in comparison to no, na show.d a higher number of sprouted stumps and sprouts per stump, and a higher sprout height in the mesic site. no exhibited higher sprout mortality in the humid site.
