In this paper,we developed highly accurate ensemble machine learning models integrating Reduced Error Pruning Tree(REPT)as a base classifier with the Bagging(B),Decorate(D),and Random Subspace(RSS)ensemble learning techniques for spatial prediction of rainfallinduced landslides in the Uttarkashi district,located in the Himalayan range,*** do so,a total of 103 historical landslide events were linked to twelve conditioning factors for generating training and validation *** Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Area Under the receiver operating characteristic Curve(AUC)were used to evaluate the training and validation performances of the *** results showed that the single REPT model and its derived ensembles provided a satisfactory accuracy for the prediction of *** D-REPT model with RMSE=0.351 and AUC=0.907 was identified as the most accurate model,followed by RSS-REPT(RMSE=0.353 and AUC=0.898),B-REPT(RMSE=0.396 and AUC=0.876),and the single REPT model(RMSE=0.398 and AUC=0.836),*** prominent ensemble models proposed and verified in this study provide engineers and modelers with insights for development of more advanced predictive models for different landslide-susceptible areas around the world.

Enhancement of Performance of Organic Light Emitting Diodes by Using Ti- and Mo-Oxide Nano Hybrid Layers

Nanorod-like TiO2 (nc-TiO2) and MoO3 (nc-MoO3) films were thermally grown from Ti- and Mo-metallic wafers. Nanohybrid films of N,N’-diphenyl-N,N’-bis(1-naphthyl)(1,1’-biphenyl)-4,4’diamine (NPB)/TiO2 and NPB/MoO3 used as anode/hole transport layer (HTL) heterojunctions in blue organic light emission diodes (OLEDs) were prepared by coating NPB onto the nc-TiO2 and nc-MoO3 and TiO2. Characterization of the nanostructured hybrid layers showed that both the photoluminescent property and current-voltage (I-v) characteristics of the hybrid materials were significantly enhanced in comparison with the standard NPB polymer. The electroluminous efficiency of the hybrid devices was considerably enhanced in comparison with the standard device. This suggests a useful application for fabricating “reverse” OLEDs, where the emission light goes-out through the semitransparent cathode, instead of the indium tin oxide (ITO) anode. For this, the ohmic contacts of conducting wires to metallic electrodes can be made much better than to ITO anodes.

In this paper, compounds identified in the essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the leaves of Cinnamomum glaucescens (Nees) Hand.-Mazz and Cinnamomum verum J.S. Presl (Lauraceae family) of vietnam origin are reported. The chemical analyses were performed using gas chromatography-flame ionisation detector (GC-FID) and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The significant compounds of C. glaucescens were geraniol (36.2%) and terpinen-4-ol (19.7%). On the other hand, C. verum comprised of linalool (22.0%) and bicyclogermacrene (11.2%). The present results may represent new chemotypes of the essential oils of C. verum and C. glaucescens.

Constituents of Some Essential Oil Bearing Plants from vietnam

Essential oils obtained from hydrodistillation of three medicinal plants grown in vietnam were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The monoterpene hydrocarbons, α-pinene (50.2%), β-pinene (23.6%) and limonene (5.3%) were the most abundant constituents of the rhizome oil of Zingiber collinsii Mood & Theilade (Zingiberaceae). The main compounds of the stem oil of Croton kongensis Gagnep., (Euphorbiaceae) were benzyl benzoate (12.7%), β-selinene (9.8%), bulnesol (8.0%) and 5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoxaline (7.4%). The leaf oil of Goniothalamus albiflous Ban., consisted mainly of α-pinene (26.2%), caryophyllene oxide (10.6%) and 1,8-cineole (9.7%). The composition of the oils of Zingiber collinsii and Croton kongensis was being reported for the first time.

Exploring catalytic behaviors of CoS_(2)-ReS_(2) heterojunction by interfacial engineering

Herein, a stable and efficient CoS_(2)-ReS_(2) electrocatalyst is successfully constructed by using the different molar ratios of CoS_(2) on ReS_(2). The size and morphology of the catalysts are significantly changed after the CoS_(2) is grown on ReS_(2), providing regulation of the catalytic activity of ReS_(2). Particularly, the optimized CoS_(2)-ReS_(2) shows superior electrocatalytic properties with a low voltage of 1.48 v at 20 mA cm^(-2) for overall water splitting in 1.0 M KOH, which is smaller than the noble metal-based catalysts(1.77 v at 20 mA cm^(-2)). The XPS, XAS, and theoretical data confirm that the interfacial regulation of ReS_(2) by CoS_(2) can provide rich edge catalytic sites, which greatly optimizes the catalytic kinetics and drop the energy barrier for oxygen/hydrogen evolution reactions. Our results demonstrated that interfacial engineering is an efficient route for fabricating high-performance water splitting electrocatalysts.

除了CSIRO研制的SiroFAST能够预测织物做成服装后性能如何外,近来CSIRO又介绍了另一种称之为Sirolan熨烫试验仪的仪器,用于预测毛织物的熨烫性能。不好的蒸汽熨烫对于轻薄西服料可能出现蒸呢缝纫、圆边及褶裥。根据毛织物的玻璃化温度解释了蒸汽熨烫褶裥定型的机理,讨论了定型褶裥的真空循环的重要作用。蒸汽熨烫的有效性不仅与熨烫机类型、蒸汽条件有关,而且与毛织物的已使用的时间、含水率等有关。蒸汽熨烫后褶裥恢复过程中,环境相对温度对这些褶裥耐久性起着很重要的作用。

Facile Preparation, Characterization of Flexible Organic Solar Cells Using P3HT-MWCNTS Composite Photoactive Layer

Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) mixed in poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) were used as a photoactive layer for organic solar cells (OSC). The flexible OSCs of a structure of PET/rGO-P3HT/P3CT/PCBM/LiF-Al were prepared by spincoating. The Uv-vis absorption spectra of the photoactive films and current-voltage characteristics of the OSCs showed the advantage of the composite devices above the pristine-polymeric ones. Under illumination of light with a 100 mW/cm2-powerdensity, the photoelectrical conversion efficiency (PCE) of the OSCs with 3.0 wt% MWNCTs embedded in the photoactive layer possess a value as large as 2.35%. The obtained results suggest further useful applications of the flexible large-area solar cells.

Junction Surface Recombination Concept as Applied to Silicon Solar Cell Maximum Power Point Determination Using Matlab/Simulink: Effect of Temperature

In this work, we study the method for determining the maximum of the minority carrier recombination velocity at the junction Sfmax, corresponding to the maximum power delivered by the photovoltaic generator. For this, we study the temperature influence on the behavior of the front white biased solar cell in steady state. By solving the continuity equation of excess minority carrier in the base, we have established the expressions of the photocurrent density, the recombination velocity on the back side of the base Sb, and the photovoltage. The photocurrent density and the photovoltage are plotted as a function of Sf, called, minority carrier recombination velocity at the junction surface, for different temperature values. The illuminated I-v characteristic curves of the solar cell are then derived. To better characterize the solar cell, we study the electrical power delivered by the base of the solar cell to the external charge circuit as either junction surface recombination velocity or photovoltage dependent. From the output power versus junction surface recombination velocity Sf, we have deduced an eigenvalue equation depending on junction recombination velocity. This equation allows to obtain the maximum junction recombination velocity Sfmax corresponding to the maximum power delivered by the photovoltaic generator, throughout simulink model. Finally, we deduce the conversion efficiency of the solar cell.
