We study the dynamics of fundamental and double-pole breathers and solitons for the focusing and defocusing nonlinear Schrodinger equation with the sextic operator under non-zero boundary conditions. Our analysis mainly focuses onthe dynamical properties of simple- and double-pole solutions. Firstly, through verification, we find that solutions undernon-zero boundary conditions can be transformed into solutions under zero boundary conditions, whether in simple-pole ordouble-pole cases. For the focusing case, in the investigation of simple-pole solutions, temporal periodic breather and thespatial-temporal periodic breather are obtained by modulating parameters. Additionally, in the case of multi-pole solitons,we analyze parallel-state solitons, bound-state solitons, and intersecting solitons, providing a brief analysis of their *** the double-pole case, we observe that the two solitons undergo two interactions, resulting in a distinctive “triangle”crest. Furthermore, for the defocusing case, we briefly consider two situations of simple-pole solutions, obtaining one andtwo dark solitons.

Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death among females worldwide and its behavior epidemiologically likes a venereal disease of low infectiousness. Early age at first intercourse and multiple sexual partners have been shown to exert strong effects on risk. The wide differences in the incidence among different countries also influenced by the introduction of screening. Although the general picture remains one of decreasing incidence and mortality, there are signs of an increasing cervical cancer risk probably due to changes in sexual behavior. Smoking and human papillomavirus(HPV) 16/18 are currently important issues in a concept of multifactorial, stepwise carcinogenesis at the cervix uteri. Therefore, society-based preventive and control measures, screening activities and HPV vaccination are recommended. Cervical cancer screening methods have evolved from cell morphology observation to molecular testing. High-risk HPV genotyping and liquid-based cytology are common methods which have been widely recommended and used worldwide. In future, accurate,cheap, fast and easy-to-use methods would be more popular. Artificial intelligence also shows to be promising in cervical cancer screening by integrating image recognition with big data technology. Meanwhile, China has achieved numerous breakthroughs in cervical cancer prevention and control which could be a great demonstration for other developing and resource-limited areas. In conclusion, although cervical cancer threatens female health, it could be the first cancer that would be eliminated by human beings with comprehensive preventive and control strategy.

For the high-temperature catalytic reaction,revealing the interface of catalyst–support and its evolution under reactive conditions is of crucial importance for understanding the reaction ***,much less is known about the atomic-scale interface of the hard-to-reduce silica-metal compared to that of reducible oxide *** we reported the general behaviors of SiO_(2)migration onto various metal(Pt,Co,Rh,Pd,Ru,and Ni)nanocrystals supported on ***,the Pt/SiO_(2)catalytic system,which boosted the CO_(2)hydrogenation to CO,exhibited the reduction of Si0 at the Pt-SiO2 interface under H2 and further Si diffusion into the near surface of Pt nanoparticles,which was unveiled by in-situ environmental transmission electron microscopy coupled with *** reconstructed interface with Si diffused into Pt increased the sinter resistance of catalyst and thus improved the catalytic *** morphology of metal nanoparticles with SiO_(2)overlayer were dynamically evolved under reducing,vacuum,and oxidizing atmospheres,with a thicker SiO_(2)layer under oxidizing *** theoretical calculations revealed the mechanism that the Si-Pt surface provided synergistic sites for the activation of CO_(2)/H_(2)to produce CO with lower energy barriers,consequently boosting the high-temperature reverse water-gas shift *** findings deepen the understanding toward the interface structure of inert oxide supported catalysts.

A series of non-enzymatic graphene functionalized biosensors was developed via deposition precipitation method for lactic acid(LA) detection,which we re characterized by transmission electron micro scopy(TEM),Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,liquid chromatography-mass spectro metry,and proton nuclear magnetic re sonance(~1H NMR).The electrochemical performances of the non-enzymatic biosensors were measured by means of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and cyclic voltammetry(CV) *** comprehensive analysis of structures shows that Pt,CeO_(2),and GO components interact with each *** the storing and releasing oxygen,the valence ratio of Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+) and the number of oxygen vacancies in CeO_(2) change accordingly,which can be conducive to increasing electronic transmission capacity and finally leads to the improvement of electrocatalytic *** them,the Pt/CeO_(2)/GO biosensor containing 0.47 at% platinum exhibits an excellent electrochemical detection performance with high sensitivity of 12.3 μA·L/(mmol·cm^(2)) and a low limit of detection(LOD) of 5.12 μmol/L in a wide linear range from 10 to 900 μmol/*** addition,the proposed biosensor possesses a promising anti-interference capability,as well as high stability and good reproducibility,which was assessed by testing the cyclic voltammogram in 0.1 mol/L lactic acid one year *** underlying mechanism was proposed for electrochemical oxidation of LA to carbon dioxide and acetic acid with the synergistic effect among Pt,CeO_(2),and ***,the results of the standard addition method in real samples(human serum and urine samples) reveal that the lactic acid detection of the non-enzymatic Pt/CeO_(2)/GO biosensor is accompanied by high ***,it will be a valuable biosensor for in vitro detection of lactic acid level in clinical samples.

Highly ordered honeycomb-patterned polystyrene (PS)/poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) films were prepared by a water-assisted method using an improved setup, which facilitated the formation of films with higher regularity, better reproducibility, and larger area of honeycomb structures. Surface aggregation of hydrophilic PEG and adsorption of bovine serum albumin (BSA) on the honeycomb-patterned films were investigated. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were used to observe the surface morphologies of the films before and after being rinsed with water. As confirmed by the FESEM images and the AFM phase images, PEG was enriched in the pores and could be gradually removed by water. The adsorption of fluorescence-labeled BSA on the films was studied in visual form using laser scanning confocal microscopy. Results clearly demonstrated that the protein-resistant PEG was selectively enriched in the pores. This water-assisted method may be a latent tool to prepare honeycomb-patterned biofunctional surfaces.

An efficient toluene removal in air using a plasma photocatalytic system（PPS） not only needs favorable surface reactions over photocatalysts under the action of plasma,but also requires the photocatalysts to efficiently absorb light emitted from the discharge for driving the photocatalytic reactions. We report here that the PPS constructed by integrating a black titania（B-TiO2）photocatalyst with a dielectric barrier discharge（DBD） can effectively remove toluene with above 70% CO2 selectivity and remarkably reduced the concentration of secondary pollutants of ozone and nitrogen oxides at a specific energy input of 1500 J·l-1,while exhibiting good stability. Photocatalyst characterizations suggest that the B-TiO2 provides a high concentration of oxygen vacancies for the surface oxidation of toluene in DBD,and efficiently absorbs ultraviolet–visible light emitted from the discharge to induce plasma photocatalytic oxidation of toluene. The presence of B-TiO2 in the plasma region also results in a high discharge efficiency,facilitating the generation of large numbers of reactive species and thus the oxidation of toluene towards CO2. The greatly enhanced performance of the PPS integrated with B-TiO2 in toluene removal offers a promising approach to efficiently remove refractory volatile organic compounds from air at low temperatures.

Gene regulation by trans-acting small RNAs(sRNAs)has considerable advantages over other gene regulation ***,synthetic sRNAs mainly take natural sRNAs(MicC or SgrS)as backbones and comprise three functional elements folding into two or more stem-loop structures:an mRNA base pairing region,an Hfq-binding structure,and a rho-independent *** to limited numbers of natural sRNAs and complicated backbone structures,synthetic sRNAs suffer from low activity programmability and poor structural ***,natural sRNA backbone sequences may increase the possibility of unwanted ***,we present a bottom-up approach for creating structure defined single-stem loop small non-coding RNAs(ssl-sRNAs),which contain a standardized scaffold of a 7 bp-stem-4 nt-loop-polyU-tail and a 24 nt basing pairing region covering the first eight ***,ssl-sRNA requires no independent Hfq-binding structure,as the polyU tail fulfills the roles of binding Hfq.A thermodynamic-based scoring model and a web server sslRNAD(http://***/)were developed for automated design of ssl-sRNAs with well-defined structures and programmable ***-sRNAs displayed weak polar effects when regulating polycistronic *** ssl-sRNA designed by sslRNAD showed regulatory activities in both Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis.A streamlined workflow was developed for the construction of customized ssl-sRNA and ssl-sRNA *** examples,the *** cell morphology was easily modified and new target genes of ergothioneine biosynthesis were quickly identified with ***-sRNA and its designer sslRNAD enable researchers to rapidly design sRNAs for knocking down target genes.

Bacillus subtilis as the Gram-positive model bacterium has been widely used in synthetic biology and biotechnology while the regulatory RNA tools for *** are still not fully ***,a bottom-up approach is proposed for designing artificial trans-acting *** engineering the intrinsic sRNA SR6,a minimized core scaffold structure consisting of an 8 bp stem,a 4 nt loop,and a 9 nt polyU tail was generated and proven to be sufficient for constructing sRNAs with strong repression activity(83%).Moreover,we demonstrate this artificial sRNA system functions well in an hfq-independent manner and also achieves strong repression efficiency in Escherichia coli(above 80%).A structure-based sRNA design principle was further developed for the automatic generation of custom sRNAs with this core scaffold but various sequences,which facilitates the manipulation and avoids structure disruption when fusing any base-pairing *** applying these auto-designed sRNAs,we rapidly modified the cell morphology and biofilm formation,and regulated metabolic flux toward acetoin *** sRNA system with cross-species regulatory activities not only enriched the gene regulation toolkit in synthetic biology for *** and *** but also enhanced our understanding of trans-acting sRNAs.

It has been predicted that high-order harmonic generation(HHG) in nanowires has the potential to scale up photon energy and harmonic ***,studies on HHG in nanowires are still theoretical and no relevant experimental results have been reported as *** experimental observation of the high-order harmonic in cadmium sulfide nanowires(CdS NWs) excited by a mid-infrared laser is,to our knowledge,the first of such study,and it verifies some of the theoretical *** experimental results show that the observed harmonics are strongest when a pump laser is parallel to the ***,the theoretical prediction that harmonics are strongest under the nanowires parallel to the laser field is confirmed experimentally,and this can be used to determine the orientation of the *** addition,harmonics are sensitive to the variation of pump light *** orientation dependence opens new opportunities to access the ultrafast and strong-field physics of nanowires.
