A Novel 3D Gait Model for Subject Identification Robust against Carrying and Dressing Variations

As a multiple strategy of reproduction, dimorphic cleistogamous species produce both closed (cleistogamous, CL) and open (chasmogamous, CH) flowers on the same or different individuals. Pseudostellaria heterophylla Pax consists of populations producing both CH and CL flowers on the same plants, which is found in the temperate forests of eastern China. In this study, floral syndrum and seed production by CH and CL flowers were investigated in populations of P. heterophylla, and the amount and distribution of genetic variation at random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) levels were investigated. The CH flowers were produced in apical plant, and CL flowers were only observed in axial, which are completely covered by the leaf. The CH flower was signifcantly larger, and its pollen/ovule ratio was approximately 142 times higher than that of CL flowers. The number of produced mature flowers and the average seed set of CL flowers was seven times higher than CH flowers per plant, indicating predominant self-fertilization via cleistogamy and self-pollination prior to anthesis in CH flowers. However, the CH seeds were significantly heavier than the CL seeds, and the emergence of CH seedlings were significantly higher than that of CL seedlings. In addition to outcrossing, CH flowers were capable of delayed selfing. both CH and CL flowers contributed to reproduction in P. heterophylla as well as delayed CH selfing, thereby creating a mating system that may be an adaptation to pollinator or resource unpredictability within the flowering season. The level and pattern of genetic diversity were measured using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) in 13 wild populations of the species. The average amount of within-population genetic variation was extremely low (Shannon’s information index I= 0.1293). At the species level, the estimates of total gene diversity (H T ) were 0.124. A new model of probability damage tolerance analysis is presented. It is composed ofua-t" random crack growth model and reliability analysis model which are based onthe life-failure criterion. The former establishes distribution function oflife for arbitrarycrack length by using reasonable "a-t" relation and statistically analysing life data forarbitrary given crack length. The latter indicates that safe reliability R corresponding togiven life tis probability of random critical life exceeding t. This new model can remedythe weakness of previous analysis model of probability damage tolerance, which is composedof "da/dt" random process model and "a-a" （or "K-K" ） reliabilityinterference model, and furthermore, it is very convenient to engineering use.

CO_(2)capture by modifed clinoptilolite and its regeneration performance

This study focuses on CO_(2) capture by pressure swing adsorption(PSA),with modified clinoptilolite as the *** clinoptilolite is modified by roasting,by acid pickling,by a combination of acid pickling and roasting,and by ion *** by acid pickling-roasting and by ion exchange are found to give the highest CO_(2) adsorption capacities,of 730 mL/g and 876.7 mL/g,*** is found that regeneration of clinoptilolite by a combination of vacuum desorption and heating enables recovery of as much as 89%of its previous CO_(2) adsorption *** examine the CO_(2) adsorption capacity of clinoptilolite when applied to mixed gas,a simulated coking exhaust containing 12%CO_(2) and 4%O_(2) is used,and it is found that ion exchange modified clinoptilolite achieves a CO_(2) removal efficiency of 92.5%.A BET test reveals that acid pickling-roasting and Na^(+) modification enhance the porosity of clinoptilolite,thereby improving its adsorption *** work demonstrates the feasibility of applying modified clinoptilolite as an effective adsorbent for COO_(2)capture,providing a promising tool for dealing with greenhouse gases.

Biomass is one most abundant resource on the earth providing important energies in support of so-cioeconomic development in many *** of biomass fuels comprises to nearly 10%of the total energy from anthropogenic combustion processes:however,as the burning is usually incomplete,this process yields products of incomplete combustion posing consequently significant impacts on air quality,human health,and climate ***,we analyzed spatiotemporal characteristics in intentional and unintentional biomass burning from different sectors,discussed impacts of biomass burning emissions on indoor and outdoor air quality,and consequent influences on human *** global total con-sumption amount of biomass including both natural and anthropogenic sources was approximately 7900 Tg in 2019,with significantly large regional and sectorial discrepancies among ***,anthropogenic biomass burning amounts increased gradually,but notably in some developing countries like China residential consumption of biomass fuels,as one large sector of biomass use,decreased over *** biomass consumption needs to be accurately *** are relatively rich datasets of pollutant emission factors from biomass burning,including laboratory and field tests,but still large variations exit and contribute substantially to the uncertainty in emission *** pri-mary PM2.5,black carbon and organic carbon emissions from biomass burning were about 51,4.6,and 29 Tg,respectively,contributing to nearly 70%,55%,and 90%of the total emission from all sources,and emissions from the residential sector and open fires are major *** carbon emissions from biomass burning attracts growing interests but available studies adopted different methodologies challenging the comparability of those *** burning emissions polluted not only ambient air but more severely indoor air quality,adversely affecting human *** studies that should be emphasiz

Two-dimensional carbon-based materials have shown promising electromagnetic wave absorption capabilities in mid-and high-frequency ranges,but face challenges in low-frequency absorption due to limited control over polarization response mecha-nisms and ambiguous resonance *** this study,we pro-pose a novel approach to enhance absorption efficiency in aligned three-dimensional(3D)MXene/CNF(cellulose nanofibers)cavities by modifying polarization properties and manipulating resonance response in the 3D MXene *** controlled polarization mechanism results in a significant shift of the main absorption region from the X-band to the S-band,leading to a remarkable reflection loss value of-47.9 dB in the low-frequency ***,our findings revealed the importance of the oriented electromagnetic coupling in influencing electromagnetic response and microwave absorption *** present study inspired us to develop a generic strategy for low-frequency tuned absorption in the absence of magnetic element participation,while orientation-induced polarization and the derived magnetic resonance coupling are the key controlling factors of the method.

BACKGROUND Synaptotagmins(SYTs)are a family of 17 membrane transporters that function as calcium ion sensors during the release of Ca2+-dependent neurotransmitters and ***,few studies have reported whether members of the SYT family play a role in glucose uptake in diabetic retinopathy(DR)through Ca2+/glucose transporter-1(GLUT1)and the possible regulatory mechanism of *** To elucidate the role of the SYT family in the regulation of glucose transport in retinal pigment epithelial cells and explore its potential as a therapeutic target for the clinical management of *** DR was induced by streptozotocin in C57BL/6J mice and by high glucose medium in human retinal pigment epithelial cells(ARPE-19).Bioinformatics analysis,reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction,Western blot,flow cytometry,ELISA,HE staining,and TUNEL staining were used for *** Six differentially expressed proteins(SYT2,SYT3,SYT4,SYT7,SYT11,and SYT13)were found between the DR and control groups,and SYT4 was highly *** induces SYT4 overexpression,manipulates Ca2+influx to induce GLUT1 fusion with the plasma membrane,promotes abnormal expression of the glucose transporter GLUT1 and excessive glucose uptake,induces ARPE-19 cell apoptosis,and promotes DR *** deficiency inhibits the proteasomal degradation of SYT4 in DR,resulting in SYT4 accumulation and enhanced GLUT1 fusion with the plasma membrane,and these effects were blocked by oe-Parkin ***,dysregulation of the myelin transcription factor 1(Myt1)-induced transcription of SYT4 in DR further activated the SYT4-mediated stimulus-secretion coupling process,and this process was inhibited in the oe-MYT1-treated *** Our study reveals the key role of SYT4 in regulating glucose transport in retinal pigment epithelial cells during the pathogenesis of DR and the underlying mechanism and suggests potential therapeutic targets for clinical DR.
