Enhanced charge separation by incomplete calcination modified co-doped TiO_(2)nanoparticle for isothiazolinone photocatalytic degradation

Photocatalytic oxidation techniques are promising for degradation of the highly ecotoxic and refractory isothiazolinone bactericides in relevant industrial ***,low charge separation and directional transport efficiency under solar light radiation restrain their practical ***,we report a nanostructured photocatalyst doped with Gd and B in TiO_(2)with carbon incorporation and defect formation through incomplete *** specific surface area,grain size,and hydrophilicity of TiO_(2)are improved,which is beneficial for the interfacial reaction between the photocatalyst and *** reduction of the bandgap,the broadening of the photo-absorption range,and the retarded electron-hole recombination promote the photocatalytic performance due to the improved oxygen vacancies based on the electron distribution *** difference in partial density of states(ΔPDOS)between the current catalyst and raw TiO_(2)indicates that the co-doping of Gd and B with incomplete calcination changes the electronic hybridization of conduction band and valence band near the Fermi level,and affects the band gap *** improved charge separation and directional transport efficiency and benefited the formation of main active species,including•OH and O_(2)•−,for the pollutant *** rate of photocatalytic removal of benzisothiazolinone(BIT)by the current photocatalyst reaches 1.25 h^(−1),being 4.3. times that of TiO_(2).The current work offers a constructive approach to the design and synthesis of nanostructured photocatalysts for the photocatalytic degradation of refractory organic pollutants.

The crustal structure under Sanjiang and its dynamic implications:Revealed by seismic reflection/refraction profile between Zhefang and Binchuan,Yunnan

The fault belts in Sanjiang mainly include Jinshajiang-Honghe fault, Lancangjiang fault and Nujiang fault (called Sanjiang faults) in western Yunnan Province, china. By interpreting the wide-angle seismic reflection/refraction profile between Zhefang and Binchuan, which crosses Tengchong and Baoshan blocks in Dianxi (western Yunnan) tectonic zone, we recon- struct the crustal structure with seismic traveltime tomography for crustal P-wave velocity and the seismic scattering image for crustal seismic reflection structure. In this paper, we firstly present the crustal structure images of P-wave velocity and seismic reflection under the wide-angle seismic profile. These results demonstrate that, the crustal velocity structure and seismic reflec- tion structure along the profile can be divided into 3.segments, and there is an obvious difference of crustal structure among the eastern, the western and the middle segment. Generally, crustal P-wave velocities in the Baoshan segment are 0.1―0.2 km/s slower and seismic reflection am- plitudes from Moho discontinuity are stronger than the other 2 segments. In the studied area, crustal thickness is about 40 km, and shows the thickening tendency from west to east along the profile. Additionally, it can be seen that there is one strong-amplitude seismic reflection event as bright points at the depths of 8―10 km, along the segment of 80―115 km of the profile (south- ward of Tengchong); and seismic reflection wave-field from Moho discontinuity varies obviously along the lateral direction. Finally, we make some discussions on the crustal thickening pattern in the Sanjiang fault belt, structural environment of earthquake development and the contact rela- tionship between the Tengchong block, Banshan block and Luxi trough.

With the increasing demand for energy conservation and emission reduction,more attentions have been paid to the intelligentization,greenization and low carbonization during the transformation and upgrading of steelmaking *** furnace(LF)refining is one of the key procedures in steelmaking process and has been widely used in steelmaking plants for its high equipment matching degree,low equipment investment and outstanding refining *** to the main tasks of LF refining process,the modeling methods of temperature prediction model,slag-making model,alloying model,argon blowing model and model of inclusions behavior were systematically reviewed,and the advantages and disadvantages of each modeling method were *** addition,the technical framework for the future has also been proposed based on existing works,including classification of raw materials,graphic representation of knowledge,introduction,upgradation and management of device/equipment,customization of steelmaking,modeling of refining process,synergy of models,intelligentization of decision-making,automation of control,and digitization of processes and operations,aiming to provide a reference for the modeling and intelligent development of LF refining process.

In mining industries no mines are identical and each mine has its own unique set of mining conditions. In order to study thecondition of mines for efficiency, safety and economy reasons, a fuzzy model is presented based on fuzzy evaluation. Relevant data fromfive mines were collected and the model was used to evaluate the mining condition of these mines. The evaluation results are in conformity with the real situation.

Macular corneal dystrophy(MCD)is a progressive,bilateral stromal dystrophic disease that arises from mutations in carbohydrate sulfotransferase 6(CHST6).Corneal transplantation is the ultimate therapeutic solution for MCD ***,postoperative recurrence remains a significant *** conducted a retrospective review of a clinical cohort comprising 102 MCD patients with 124 eyes that underwent either penetrating keratoplasty(PKP)or deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty(DALK).Our results revealed that the recurrence rate was nearly three times higher in the DALK group(3..13.,9/23.eyes)compared with the PKP group(10.89%,11/101 eyes),suggesting that surgical replacement of the corneal endothelium for treating MCD is advisable to prevent postoperative *** experimental data confirmed the robust m RNA and protein expression of CHST6 in human corneal endothelium and the rodent homolog CHST5 in mouse *** knockdown of wild-type Chst5 in mouse corneal endothelium(AC^(siChst5)),but not in the corneal stroma,induced experimental MCD with similar extracellular matrix synthesis impairments and corneal thinning as observed in MCD *** carrying Chst5 point mutation also recapitulated clinical phenotypes of MCD,along with corneal endothelial *** injection of wild-type Chst5 rescued the corneal impairments in AC^(siChst5)mice and retarded the disease progression in Chst5 mutant ***,our study provides new mechanistic insights and therapeutic approaches for MCD treatment by highlighting the role of corneal endothelium in MCD development.

It is essential to enhance the thickness of the absorber layer for perovskite solar cells(PSCs)to improve device performance and reduce industry ***,thick perovskite films(>1μm)are difficult to be fabricated by employing traditional solvents,such as N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF),dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO).Besides,it is a challenge to fabricate thick-film perovskite owing to the deteriorated surface morphology and serious defect ***,a simple method was reported to deposit uniform pinhole-free perovskite films with a thickness of more than 2μm utilizing the methylamine acetate(MAAc)ionic liquid as the *** with methylammonium chloride(MACl)as an additive,thick-film perovskite with~2μm in grain size and few grain boundaries(GBs)was prepared,which dramatically improved the perovskite crystal quality and enhanced carrier transport *** final PSCs exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20.16%.The device showed improved stability with 95%of its initial efficiency in a nitrogen environment over 5000 *** work provides an alternative strategy to produce extremely efficient and stable thick-film *** can be believed that this device has great potential in the application of large areas and laminated PSCs.

Effects of pyraclostrobin on growth,oxidative stress,and gene expression in relation to stress and ATP-binding cassette transporters in Tetrahymena thermophila

A hybrid nickel/iron-pyromellitic acid electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction

The migration of protons during the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a key factor that affects the performance of OER *** enhance proton transportation,we designed a catalyst based on nickel/iron-pyromellitic acid(NiFe-PMA)prepared by the electrochemical deposition *** catalyst exhibited a low overpotential of 188 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),a Tafel slope of 28.2 mV·dec^(-1),and long-term stability for 3. days with a current of 50 mA·cm^(-2).We characterized the NiFe-PMA catalyst using various techniques,including Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES).Our results showed that NiFe-PMA contains nickel,iron atoms,and both coordinated and uncoordinated carboxylate ***,XPS data confirmed that carboxylate ligands could adjust the outer electronic structure of metal ions,resulting in the high valence state of Ni in *** result of XAS indicated that the nickel atoms present in the catalyst might be easier to maintain a higher chemical *** investigations using kinetic isotope effects(KIEs)and proton inventory revealed that the uncoordinated carboxylic protons played a crucial role in receiving protons during the OER,which promoted the proton transfer of the rate-determining step of the *** novel electrocatalysts provide a new strategy for designing more active and cost-effective catalysts for the OER.
