Perianal disease is one of the most disabling manifestations of Crohn's disease.A multidisciplinary approach of gastroenterologist,colorectal surgeon and radiologist is necessary for its management.A correct diagnosis,based on endoscopy,magnetic resonance imaging,endoanal ultrasound and examination under anesthesia,is crucial for perianal fistula *** medical and surgical therapies are discussedin this review,including new local treatment modalities that are under investigation.

The use of biological agents and immunomodulators for inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is associated with an increased risk of opportunistic infections, in particular of viral or bacterial etiology. Despite the existence of international guidelines, many gastroenterologists have not adopted routine screening and vaccination in those patients with IBD, which are candidate for biologic therapy. Available strategies to screen, diagnose and prevent bacterial and viral infections in patients with IBD prior to start biological therapy are discussed in this review.

This paper reviews the progress in our understanding of the atmospheric response to midlatitude oceanic fronts and eddies,emphasizing the Kuroshio-Oyashio Extension(KOE)*** perturbations of interest consist of sharp oceanic fronts,temperature anomalies associated with mesoscale eddies,and to some extent even higher-frequency submesoscale *** focus is on the free atmosphere above the boundary *** the midlatitude atmosphere is dominated by vigorous transient eddy activity in the storm track,the response of both the time-mean flow and the storm track is *** storm track response arguably overwhelms the mean-flow response and makes the latter hard to detect from *** frontal impacts on the mesoscale structures of individual synoptic storms are discussed,followed by the role of oceanic fronts in maintaining the storm track as a *** fronts exhibit significant decadal variability and can therefore presumably modulate the storm *** studies are summarized and *** understanding has advanced greatly but is still subject to large uncertainties arising from inadequate data resolution and other *** modeling studies highlighted the importance of mesoscale eddies and probably even submesoscale processes in maintaining the storm track but confirmation and validation are still ***,the atmospheric response can potentially provide a feedback mechanism for the North Pacific *** reviewing the above aspects,we envision that future research shall focus more upon the interaction between smaller-scale oceanic processes(fronts,eddies,submesoscale features)and atmospheric processes(fronts,extratropical cyclones etc.),in an integrated way,within the context of different climate background states.

Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment（VA） tools for forest ecosystems and forest-dependent communities are important for making decisions and understanding the impact of climate change on both social and natural ***,the tools are poorly coordinated,making it difficult for policymakers to carry out VAs *** aim of this study was to analyze VA literature worldwide to find representative case studies in terms of methods and tools applied and which have been successful in performing VAs on forests and forest-dependent *** successful VA studies analyzed had common characteristics such as significant funding,data availability and technical *** additional characteristic was the development of an integrated approach that considered the vulnerability of both ecosystems and communities by combining qualitative and quantitative *** members and relevant stakeholders were significantly involved in a participatory process that concluded with the identification of adaptation *** case studies also revealed how policymakers need to choose suitable methods and tools to undertake efficient assessment of *** need to consider several aspects of the VA process such as subject matter,availability of resources,time and scale.

The quality and flavor of scallops changes during the fresh dry rehydration *** order to control the changes after rehydration,a scallop pretreatment method was *** pretreatment method involved impregnating fresh scallops with 0.2 g/100 m L konjac glucomannan(KGM),carrageenan(CA),and sodium alginate(SA)before the drying and rehydration *** rehydration,the KGM treated samples had better water retention and the highest betaine *** CA treated samples had a deepened yellow color and the highest content of flavoring amino acids(FAA)and inosine monophosphate(IMP).What’s more,a total of 77 volatile compounds were detected,with a maximum of 15 *** highest proportion in the four groups was eugenol,followed by n-hexadecanoic acid,methyl hexadecanoate *** SA group had no significant contribution in terms of quality and *** samples pretreated with KGM had the best quality,and those pretreated by CA had the best flavor.

Arsenic-contaminated water is a serious hazard for human health. Plankton plays a critical role in the fate and toxicity of arsenic in water by accumulation and *** platensis（S. platensis）, a typical plankton, is often used as a supplement or feed for pharmacy and aquiculture, and may introduce arsenic into the food chain, resulting in a risk to human health. However, there are few studies about how S. platensis biotransforms arsenic. In this study, we investigated arsenic biotransformation by S. platensis. When exposed to arsenite（As（Ⅲ））, S. platensis accumulated arsenic up to 4.1 mg/kg dry *** exposure to As（Ⅲ）, arsenate（As（Ⅴ）） was the predominant species making up 64% to86% of the total arsenic. Monomethylarsenate（MMA（Ⅴ）） and dimethylarsenate（DMA（Ⅴ））were also detected. An arsenite S-adenosylmethionine methyltransferase from S. platensis（Sp Ars M） was identified and characterized. Sp Ars M showed low identity with other reported Ars M enzymes. The Escherichia coli AW3110 bearing Spars M gene resulted in As（Ⅲ） methylation and conferring resistance to As（Ⅲ）. The in vitro assay showed that Sp Ars M exhibited As（Ⅲ） methylation activity. DMA（Ⅴ） and a small amount of MMA（Ⅴ） were detected in the reaction system within 0.5 hr. A truncated Sp Ars M derivative lacking the last 34 residues still had the ability to methylate As（Ⅲ）. The three single mutants of Sp Ars M（C59S, C186 S, and C238S） abolished the capability of As（Ⅲ） methylation, suggesting the three cysteine residues are involved in catalysis. We propose that Sp Ars M is responsible for As methylation and detoxification of As（Ⅲ） and may contribute to As biogeochemistry.

Light fl ux and quality are crucial factor for setting endogenous plant circadian *** the daily rhythmicity of leaf chlorophyll content is an eff ective method to monitor the plant physiological endogenous clock in response to environmental signals such as light availability/***,we used a leaf-clip sensor to monitor diurnal rhythms in the content of chlorophyll and fl avonoids such as fl avonols and anthocyanins in three green-(Ailanthus altissima,Tilia platyphyllos and Platanus×acerifolia)and two red-leafed(Acer platanoides *** King and Prunus cerasifera ***)tree species,adapted to sun(L)or shade(S).Signifi cant diff erences in chlorophyll content(Chl)and its variations during the day were observed among treatments in all the analyzed species.S-plants had more Chl than L-plants irrespective of leaf color,and Chl variations were more distinct during the day than in *** particular,contents were lowest in the morning(9:00)and in the middle of the day(at 12:00 and 15:00),and the highest at dusk(21:00).The less evident trends in Chl variation in L-plants were attributed to a decrease in Chl content in high light,which likely masked any increases in the shaded counterparts during the *** fl avonol levels did not vary no notably during the *** sun-exposed red leaves,anthocyanins partially screened mesophyll cells from incident light,and its levels were similar to the Chl dynamics in the shaded *** study provides new bases for further work on endogenous rhythms of plant pigments and improves our understanding of plant physiology in the context of day/night rhythmicity.

Selenium(Se)in paddy rice is one of the significant sources of human Se ***,the effect of arsenic(As)pollution in soil on the translocation of Se species in rice plants is *** this research,a pot experiment was designed to examine the effect of the addition of 50 mg As/kg soil as arsenite or arsenate on the migration of Se species from soil to indica Minghui 63 and *** results showed that the antagonism between inorganic As and Se was closely related to the rice cultivar and Se oxidation state in *** to the standalone selenate treatment,arsenite significantly(p<0.05)decreased the accumulation of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenate in the roots,stems,sheaths,leaves,brans and kernels of both cultivars by 21.4%-100.0%,40.0%-100.0%,41.0%-100%,5.4%-96.3%,11.3%-100.0% and 26.2%-39.7% respectively,except for selenocystine in the kernels of indica Minghui 63 and selenomethionine in the leaves of indica Minghui 63 and the stems of indica *** also decreased(p<0.05)the accumulation of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenate in the roots,stems,brans and kernels of both cultivars by 34.9%-100.0%,30.2%-100.0%,11.3%-100.0% and 5.6%-39.6%respectively,except for selenate in the stems of indica Minghui ***,relative to the standalone selenite treatment,arsenite and arsenate decreased(p<0.05)the accumulation of selenocystine,selenomethionine and selenite only in the roots of indica Minghui 63 by 45.5%-100.0%.Our results suggested that arsenite and arsenate had better antagonism toward Se species in selenate-added soil than that in selenite-added soil;moreover,arsenite had a higher inhibiting effect on the accumulation of Se species than arsenate.

In this paper,the transformative and critical potential of the groundlessness of praxis--a central issue in Wittgenstein’s On Certainty--is *** argues that the groundlessness of human praxis entails neither a relativistic nor a foundationalistic epistemological *** the contrary,following Stanley Cavell and a“resolute reading”of Wittgenstein’s philosophy,it claims that Wittgenstein’s aim is to let us acknowledge that both epistemological foundationalism and epistemic relativism are apparent needs,so as to invite us to change our practical way of *** this perspective,this paper suggests that Wittgenstein’s account of philosophy addresses the readers and involves a transformation of their own practical attitude and way of acting.
