multiple efforts have been performed worldwide around diverse aspects of land ***,land administration data and systems’notorious heterogeneity remains a longstanding challenge to develop a harmonized *** this sense,the traditional Spatial Data Infrastructures adoption is not enough to overcome this challenge since data sources’heterogeneity implies needs related to harmonization interoperability,sharing,and integration in land administration *** paper proposes a graph-based represen-tation of knowledge for integrating multiple and heterogeneous data sources(tables,shape-files,geodatabases,and WFS services)belonging to two Colombian agencies within a decentralized land administration *** knowledge graphs are developed on an ontology-based knowledge representation using national and international standards for land *** approach aims to prevent data isolation,enable cross-datasets integration,accomplish machine-processable data,and facilitate the reuse and exploitation of multi-jurisdictional datasets in a single approach.A real case study demonstrates the applicability of the land administration data cycle deployed.

Objective:To describe and molecularly characterize an outbreak of dengue virus(DEnV)infection in Cajamarca,an Andean region in ***:A total of 359 serum samples from patients with acute febrile illness were assessed for the presence of DEnV via rt-PCR,ELISA nS1,Ig m and Ig G in Cajamarca,Peru from January 2017 to June *** evaluation of the different diagnostic tests and their applicability was ***:Dengue virus was detected in 24.7%of samples by ***,serological analysis detected 30.3%positive cases via ELISA nS1 antigen,16.7%via ELISA Ig G and 9.7%via ELISA Ig *** of the cases corresponded to DEnV-3(77.5%).The use of rt-PCR performed better in primary infections(Pn of ELISA Ig m performed better in secondary infections(Pmbination of nS1 and Ig m performed better than the other assays in detecting primary(92.5%)and secondary infections(96.6%).The most frequent symptoms associated with fever were headaches,myalgias,and arthralgias across all ***:We report an important outbreak of dengue infection caused by DEnV-3 in Cajamarca,*** findings encourage the use of nS1 antigen and Ig m *** findings demonstrate an increasing expansion of DEnV-3 in Peru and highlight the importance of molecular diagnosis and serotype characterization among the clinically defined dengue cases to strengthen the Peruvian epidemiological surveillance.

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus(SARS-CoV)-2 infection induces an exacerbated inflammation driven by innate immunity *** cells(DCs)play a key role in the defense against viral infections,for instance plasmacytoid DCs(pDCs),have the capacity to produce vast amounts of interferon-alpha(IFn-α).In COVID-19 there is a deficit in DC numbers and IFn-αproduction,which has been associated with disease *** this work,we described that in addition to the DC deficiency,several DC activation and homing markers were altered in acute COVID-19 patients,which were associated with multiple inflammatory ***,previously hospitalized and nonhospitalized patients remained with decreased numbers of CD1c+myeloid DCs and pDCs seven months after SARS-CoV-2 ***,the expression of DC markers such as CD86 and CD4 were only restored in previously nonhospitalized patients,while no restoration of integrinβ7 and indoleamine 2,3-dyoxigenase(IDO)levels were *** findings contribute to a better understanding of the immunological sequelae of COVID-19.

Effects of porosity,dry unit weight,cement content and void/cement ratio on unconfined compressive strength of roof tile waste-silty soil mixtures

One of the conventional ways to improve the mechanical behavior of soils is to mix them with cementing agents such as cement, lime and fly ash. Recently, introduction to alternative materials or sub-products that can be adopted to improve the soil strength is of paramount importance. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the effects of porosity(h), dry unit weight(gd) of molding, cement content(C)and porosity/volumetric cement content ratio(h/Civ) or void/cement ratio on the unconfined compressive strength(quor UCS) of silty soileroof tile waste(rt) mixtures. Soil samples are molded into four different dry unit weights(i.e. 13 kn/m^3, 13.67 kn/m^3, 14.33 kn/m^3 and 15 kn/m^3) using 3%, 6% and 9%cement and 5%, 15% and 30% rt. The results show that with the addition of cement, the strength of the rt esoil mixtures increases in a linear manner. On the other hand, the addition of rt decreases quof the samples at a constant percentage of cement, and the decrease in porosity can increase qu. A dosage equation is derived from the experimental data using the porosity/volumetric cement content ratio(h/C_(iv)) where the control variables are the moisture content, crushed tile content, cement content and porosity.

AIm: To investigate the role of genes and kinetics of specific transcription factors in liver regeneration, and to analyze the gene expression and the activity of some molecules crucially involved in hepatic regeneration. mETHODS: USInG gel-shift assay and rt-PCR, transcription factors, such as nF-κB, STAT-3, SmAD3 and AP-1, and gene expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (inOS), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and c-met were analyzed in an animal model of chemically induced hepatectomy. RESULTS: Gene expression of HGF and its receptor c-met peaked at 3 h and 24 h after acute CCl4 intoxi- cation. inOS expression was only observed from 6 to 48 h. Transcriptional factor nF-κB had an early activation at 30 min after acute liver damage. STAT-3 peaked 3 h post- intoxication, while AP-1 displayed a peak of activation at 48 h. SmAD3 showed a high activity at all analyzed times. COnCLUSIOn: TnF-α and IL-6 play a central role in hepatic regeneration. These two molecules are responsible for triggering the cascade of events and switch-on of genes involved in cell proliferation, such as growth factors, kinases and cyclins which are direct participants of cell proliferation.

Tight junctions are mainly formed by two types of proteins;claudins and occludin, both of which are fundamental to maintain the integrity and barrier function of the intestinal epithelium. This barrier function allows for the absorption of nutrients, mainly by transcytosis;however, in birds, 90% of the substances are absorbed by paracellular mechanisms. Despite this, claudins present in the different parts of the intestinal tract of adult chickens are not known, much less their functional role. This study aimed to determine the presence of mRNA of claudins 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 12, 16 and occludin, in the different regions of the intestine (duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum, and rectum) in chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus) through RT-PCR. To meet this goal, 7 weeks old roosters destined for slaughter and chicken embryos of 16 days of incubation (positive control) were used. For all the processed samples, amplicons of the expected size were obtained;claudin 1 (662 pb), claudin 2 (162 pb), claudin 3 (185 pb), claudin 5 (224 pb), claudin 10 (687 pb), claudin 12 (738 pb), claudin 16 (191 pb) and occludin (430 pb). To corroborate these findings, obtained amplicons were sequenced and, subsequently, a basic alignment was performed on the NCBI, obtaining a correlation of 100% with the original sequences in all analyzed samples. To our knowledge, the present work represents the first written report regarding the presence of mRNA of the main proteins involved in tight junction formation throughout the intestinal tract of domestic chickens of 7 weeks of age. These findings will allow elucidating the specific function of each of the reported proteins in the process of paracellular absorption in chickens.

Rare-earth(RE)rich intermetallics crystallizing in orthorhombic Ho_(6)Co_(2)Ga-type crystal structure exhibit peculiar magnetic properties that are not widely reported for their magnetic ordering,order of magnetic phase transition,and related magnetocaloric *** tuning the type of RE element in RE_(6)Co_(2)Ga(RE=Ho,Dy or Gd)compounds,metamagnetic anti-to-paramagnetic(AF to Pm)phase transitions could be tuned to ferro-to-paramagnetic(Fm to Pm)phase ***,the Fm ground state for Gd_(6)Co_(2)Ga is confirmed by density functional theory calculations in addition to experimental *** field dependence magnetocaloric and Banerjee’s criteria demonstrate that Ho_(6)Co_(2)Ga and Dy_(6)Co_(2)Ga undergo a first-order phase transition in addition to a second-order phase transition,whereas only the latter is observed for Gd_(6)Co_(2)*** two extreme alloys of the series,Ho_(6)Co_(2)Ga and Gd_(6)Co_(2)Ga,show maximum isothermal entropy change(|ΔS_(iso)^(max)(5T)|)of 10.1 and 9.1 J kg^(-1)K^(-1)at 26 and 75 K,close to H_(2)and n_(2)liquefaction,*** outstanding magnetocaloric effect performance makes the RE6 Co_(2)Ga series of potential for cryogenic magnetic refrigeration applications.

Aim: To elucidate the anti-apoptotic properties of nuclear factor kappa light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (nF-κB) and feedback regulation of nF-κB by nuclear factor of kappa light-chain-enhancer of activated B-cells inhibitor alpha (IκBα). methods: We developed an in vitro model of Sjogren’s syndrome by transfecting human salivary gland (HSG) and acinar cells (nS-SV-AC) with a plasmid-encoding IκBαm (pCmV-IκBαm), a degradation-resistant IκBα (nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells inhibitor, alpha)-mutant, and examined TnF-induced apoptosis and anti-apoptotic properties of nF-κB. Apoptosis and induction of pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic genes were investigated by cDnA arrays, rt-PCR, electrophoretic mobility shift assays, and western blot. Results: In the presence of nF-κB inhibitors, TnF-induced apoptosis was markedly increased in both salivary gland and acinar cells. Increased caspase-3 activity was present in both HSG and nS-SV-AC cells. IκBαm-transfected salivary gland cells were more sensitive to TnF-induced apoptosis than IκBαm-transfected acinar cells. Transcription of pro-apoptotic genes was confirmed in both HSG and nS-SV-AC cells that were transfected with IκBαm. Results from caspase-3 activity assay confirmed previous experiments showing an apoptotic role for nF-κB. Conclusion: Data from gene expression arrays suggest that different mechanisms may operate during TnF-induced apoptosis in salivary gland ductal and acinar cells.
