Direct seawater splitting has emerged as a popular and promising research direction for synthesising clean,green,non-polluting,and sustainable hydrogen energy without depending on high-purity water in the face of the world’s shortage of fossil ***,efficient seawater splitting is hindered by slow kinetics caused by the ultra-low conductivity and the presence of bacteria,microorganisms,and stray ions in ***,producing hydrogen on an industrial scale is challenging due to the high production *** present review addresses these challenges from the catalyst point of view,namely,that designing catalysts with high catalytic activity and stability can directly affect the rate and effect of seawater *** the ion transfer perspective,designing membranes can block harmful ions,improving the stability of seawater *** the energy point of view,mixed seawater systems and self-powered systems also provide new and low-energy research systems for seawater ***,ideas and directions for further research on direct seawater splitting in the future are pointed out,with the aim of achieving low-cost and high-efficiency hydrogen production.

Association of the HLA-DRB1*0701 allele with perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmatic antibodies in Mexican patients with severe ulcerative colitis

AIM： To determine the association between the HLADRB1 alleles and perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmatic antibodies （p-ANCA） positive in Mexican patients with ulcerative colitis （UC）. METHODS： Ninety Mexican mestizo patients （45 females） with UC, confirmed by biopsy, were studied. High resolution HLA typing was performed by PCR-SSO reverse dot blot and PCR-SSP. Molecular typing techniques were applied to define HLA-DRB1 alleles. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and immunofluorescence techniques were used to detect p-ANCA. RESULTS： Forty-eight （53%） UC patients were positive for p-ANCA by ELISA and IF. We found that p-ANCA- positive UC patients had a significantly increased frequency of HLA-DR7 compared with p-ANCA-negative controls （22% vs 5.1%; pC=0.02, OR=5.2, CI 95%： 1.06-37.82）. Disease activity was scored as severe in 20 patients, moderate in 8, mild in 14 and no activity in the remaining 38 patients according to the Truelove and Witts criteria. Subgroup analysis showed a significantly increased frequency of the HLA-DRB1＊07 allele in 15 of 20 UC patients with severe activity of UC and p-ANCA positivity [100% vs 0%; pC=0.0000001; OR=35]. No significant differences were found between p-ANCA positive patients, HLA-DR alleles and other clinical features such as extraintestinal manifestations, proctocolectomy and ***： The HLA-DRB1＊07 is associated with p-ANCA positive UC Mexican patients.

Autoimmune pancreatitis has received considerable attention,especially due to the marked effect of corticosteroid therapy on its clinical ***,especially regarding type 1 autoimmune pancreatitis,has significantly increased over the last decades,and despite significant differences in pathophysiology and outcomes,both type 1 and 2 autoimmune pancreatitis are still considered different types of the same *** have proposed a different nomenclature reflecting these *** the term steroid-responsive pancreatitides may be interpreted as synonymous to type 1 and 2 autoimmune pancreatitis,these are not the only pancreatic conditions that show a response to steroid *** pancreatitis caused by vasculitis and connective tissue diseases and acute pancreatitis secondary to checkpoint inhibitors or programmed cell death receptor antibody-mediated blockage cancer therapy may also benefit from steroid *** review presents current concepts on these disorders,aiming to increase awareness,analyze similarities and differences,and propose a new nomenclature that reflects their specific particularities,clustering them under the term"steroid-responsive pancreatitides".

Spatiotemporal variation in the adult sex ratio,male aggregation,and movement of two tropical cloud forest dung beetles

While theory suggests that at conception the sex ratio should be balanced(1:1),this can be variable across space and time in wild ***,studies of the environmental factors that regulate adult sex ratio(ASR)in species with different life history traits are *** capture–recapture over a year,we analyzed the influence of habitat type(forest and nonforest)and season(rainy and dry)on variation in ASR,male aggregation and the trajectory movement of 2 dung beetle species with different life history traits:Deltochilum mexicanum(a hornless roller species)and Dichotomius satanas(a tunneler species with horns on its head and thorax).We found opposite *** *** population tends to be female-biased,but the population of *** tends to be predominantly male,and observed values were not related to habitat type or ***,the 95%confidence intervals estimated were highly variable between seasons depending on *** examining the monthly variation in ASR for both habitats,we found that it depends on the *** addition,male aggregation differed between species depending on habitat type and season,and species movement patterns were closely related to their habitat *** on our results,we argue that comparative population studies of species with different life history traits are necessary to understand the variation in demographic parameters as well as its ecological and evolutionary implications in the face of spatial and climatic environmental variation.

The service provided by the GC(Gamma Cameras)in the Nuclear Medicine departments fails because of their breakdown,generally due to the associated electronics and not to the physical detection *** this reason,it was decided to develop an electronic system that allows the recovery and optimization of disused GC,starting with the design of the preamplifier for a PMT(photomultiplier tube).The circuit was designed and simulated and the list of components necessary for the construction of the preamplifier was generated,as well as the printed circuit board was designed for its *** simulating the preamplifier this worked in linear *** determines that the amplitude of the output signal is proportional to the amount of charge delivered by the *** card allows an automatic adjustment of the signals of the PMT as do the modern GC.

Effect of Antimony Additions on Corrosion and Mechanical Properties of Sn-Bi Eutectic Lead-Free Solder Alloy

The goal of the present work is to investigate the effects of the addition of Sb (0, 3 and 6 wt%) on structure, melting, corrosion and mechanical properties of Sn-Bi eutectic solder alloys. The mechanical properties of the bulk Sn-Bi-Sb solders were higher as the amount of antimony increases, making compressive strength augment from 65 MPa to 100 MPa when 6 wt% Sb was incorporated to the Sn-Bi eutectic alloy. The three alloys presented a melting temperature that is smaller to the one exhibited by the eutectic alloy Sn-38Pb (Tm = 183°C). According to the electrochemical results, the addition of higher contents of Sb to the Sn-Bi eutectic alloy had a positive effect: it ennobled the Ecorr values.

Rhizosphere soil samples of three Pinus chiapensis sites were analyzed for their physicochemical properties,soil bacteria isolated and screened in vitro for growthpromoting *** isolates that showed promise were identified to five genera Dyella,Luteimonas,Euterobacter,Paraburkholderia and Bacillus based on the sequences of16 S rRNA *** the strains were isolated from nondisturbed *** bacteria significantly decreased germination time and increased sprout *** acetic acid and gibberellin production and phosphate solubilisation were *** indicate that these biochemicals could be essential for *** distribution and suggest the possibility that PGPR inoculation on *** seeds prior to planting could improve germination and possibly seedling development.

Transformation of leather waste into microwave-activated and N-doped carbon for Li-S batteries

The use of carbon from waste biomass has the potential to buffer the drawbacks of Li-S batteries and improve their overall performance. Chrome-Tanned-LeatherShavings(CTLS) are undesirable wastes, highly available for transformation into porous carbon. Microwave activation is an efficient state-of-the-art procedure to obtain unique porous structures and nitrogen incorporation can improve the performance of porous carbons. This study proposes the transformation of CTLS into a microwave activated porous carbon, and then was modified to introduce nitrogen. A microporous activated carbon with a specific surface area of 556 m2g-1 with honeycomb-like structure was obtained. Both urea thermal decomposition and ethanolamine impregnation improves the nitrogen and amine presence of surface groups. However,the results indicated that only urea treatment was effective in improving the initial capacity of the cell(1363 mAhg-1), which is probably linked with the sorption of long-chain polysulfides. This investigation confirms that it is possible to obtain carbon materials from CTLS, for use as sulfur-host cathodes in Li-S batteries, and improve their performance with urea thermal decomposition. Furthermore, a Radial basis function neural network was fitted to provide statistical support to the experimental results. The trained model corroborated the importance of nitrogen content of the carbons in the discharge capacity of the cells.

The need for renewable energy sources makes microalgae an essential feedstock for biofuels *** molecular aspects and the response to nitrogen(N)-limited conditions with a phytohormone stimulus in microalgae have been slightly *** this work,Scenedesmus obliquus was used as a study model to analyze the effect of benzyl amino purine(BAP)and gibberellic acid(GA)coupled to nitrogen limitation on cell growth,biomass and fatty *** selected 10^(-5)M BAP increased the biomass by 1.44-fold,and 10^(-6)M GA by *** total lipids also increased by 2.8 and 1.11-fold,*** 10^(-5)M BAP and 10^(-6)M GA addition to *** cultures at different initial nitrogen percentages(N-0,N-25,and N-50)showed a significant increase in cell growth and biomass productivity compared to the unstimulated *** N-0 and GA N-0 produced the highest lipid yields with 55%and 50%,*** lipid profile analysis revealed an increase,particularly in C18:1 and C16:0 fatty *** expression analysis showed an over-expression of acyl carrying protein(ACP),stearoyl-ACP desaturase(SAD),fatty acid acyl-ACP thioesterase(FATA),and diacylglycerol acyltransferase(DGAT)genes,which were mainly induced by nitrogen ***,BAP and GA produced a significant over-expression on these genes in the N-replete *** study shows that BAP and GA,coupled to N limitation stress,can be used to increase the biomass and lipid production in *** for sustainable biofuels.

PET/CT with <sup>18</sup>F-PSMA in Patients with Prostate Cancer, Review of the Initial Experience

METHOD: We carry out an observational study where reviewed the PET/CT studies with PSMA marked with Fluor-18 (18F) carried out from February 2019 to September 2020. We analyzed the average value of hepatic uptake SUV lean average (SUVlave), acquisition time, age, reason from the study, focal, multifocal and diffuse prostate uptake, analysis of the location of metastases, level of prostate specific antigen (PSA), we describe uptakes of non-prostate origin and focal uptakes in ribs without anatomical representation. RESULTS: The average hepatic SUVlave was 9.7, the acquisition times were variable (52 - 183 minutes) without alterations in the white-background relationship, the most frequent indication for the study was staging, the uptake in ribs without anatomical representation were considered benign with certain characteristics, PET/CT has the ability to detect neoplastic activity with low PSA levels in lymph nodes CONCLUSION: PET/CT with 18F-PSMA has advantages over bone scan and computed tomography of the abdomen and pelvis for the staging of prostate cancer.
