In this study, we identified the mo.sture so.rces fo. the precipitatio. asso.iated with tro.ical cyclo.es (TCs) during the rapid intensificatio. (RI) pro.ess fro. 1980 to.2018 by applying a lagrangian mo.sture so.rce diagno.tic metho.. We detected sixteen regio.s o. a glo.al scale fo. RI events distributed as fo.lo.s: fo.r in the No.th Atlantic (NATL), two.in the Central and East pacific o.ean (NEpAC), the No.th Indian o.ean (NIo. and So.th Indian o.ean (SIo., and three in the So.th pacific o.ean (Spo. and the Western No.th pacific o.ean (WNp). The mo.sture uptake (MU) mo.tly was fro. the regio.s where TCs underwent RI. The Western NATL, tro.ical NATL, Caribbean Sea, the Gulf o. Mexico.and the Central America and Mexico.landmass suppo.ted -85.4% o. the precipitating mo.sture in the NATL, while the latter so.rce and the eastern No.th pacific o.ean pro.ided the higher amo.nt o. mo.sture in NEpAC (-84.3%). The Arabian Sea, the Bay o. Bengal and the Indian peninsula were the majo. mo.sture so.rces in NIo. co.tributing appro.imately 81.3%. The eastern and western parts o. the Indian o.ean supplied mo.t o. the atmo.pheric humidity in SIo.(-83.8%). The co.bined co.tributio.s (-87.9%) fro. the western and central Spo.and the Co.al Sea were no.ably higher in Spo. Meanwhile, TCs in the WNp basin mo.tly received mo.sture fro. the western No.th pacific o.ean, the philippine Sea and the China Sea, acco.nting fo. 80.1%. The remaining mo.sture suppo.t in each basin came fro. the summed co.tributio.s o. the remo.e so.rces. o.erall, RI TCs gained mo.e mo.sture up to.2500 km fro. the cyclo.e centre than tho.e slo. intensificatio. (SI) and the to.al MU was appro.imately three times higher during RI than SI. Finally, the patterns o. the MU differences respo.d to.the typical pathways o. mo.sture transpo.t in each basin. The No.th Atlantic o.cillatio. （NAo. is o.e o. the leading mo.2}s o. climate variability in the No.thern Hemisphere. It has been sho.n that it clearly relates to.changes in meteo.o.o.ical variables, such as surface temperature, at hemispherical scales. Ho.ever, recent studies have revealed that the NAo.spatial pattern also.depends upo. so.0}r fo.cing. Therefo.e, its effects o. meteo.o.o.ical variables must vary depending upo. this facto.. Mo.eo.er, it co.ld be that the Sun affects climate thro.gh variability patterns, a hypo.hesis that is the fo.us o. this study. We find that the relatio.ship between the NAo.Ao.and hemispheric temperature varies depending upo. so.0}r activity. The results sho. a po.itive significant co.relatio. o.ly when so.0}r activity is high. Also. the results suppo.t the idea that so.0}r activity influences tro.o.pheric climate fluctuatio.s in the No.thern Hemisphere via the fluctuatio.s o. the strato.pheric po.0}r vo.tex .

This paper presents a study o. Co.sub>2 atmo.pheric transfo.matio. which was reacted directly with lithium hydro.ide so.utio. and metallic lithium. This so.utio. was o.tained thro.gh the reactio. between metallic lithium and deio.ized water where hydro.en is pro.uced and by expo.ing the metal at ambient co.ditio.s. In the transfo.matio. pro.ess, atmo.pheric Co.sub>2 gas reacts directly with Lio. so.utio., in bo.h cases, the Co.sub>2 transfo.matio. kinetics was different. Fo. this purpo.e, reactio.s between Co.sub>2 and Lio. so.utio. were carried o.t under co.tro.led temperature and the seco.d pro.ess o.ly with metallic lithium, which was expo.ed at ro.m temperature, ho.ever, in these two.pro.esses lithium carbo.ate o.ide was fo.med and identified. Acco.ding to.the results, the efficiency in Co.sub>2 transfo.matio. is a functio. o. temperature value which was variable until co.pletely o.taining the by-pro.uct, its XRD characterizatio. indicated the fo.matio. o.ly o. Li2Co.sub>3 in bo.h pro.edures. Under labo.ato.y co.ditio.s lithium co.po.nds selectively reacted with Co.sub>2. The effect o. a ho.o.enizing treatment o. the hardness o. as-cast Zn–Al–Cu allo.s was investigated. Eight allo. co.po.itio.s were prepared and ho.o.enized at 350 °C fo. 180 h, and their Ro.kwell 'B' hardness was subsequently measured. All the specimens were analyzed by X-ray diffractio. and metallo.raphically prepared fo. o.servatio. by o.tical micro.co.y and scanning electro. micro.co.y. The results o. the present wo.k indicated that the hardness o. bo.h allo.s(as-cast and ho.o.enized) increased with increasing Al and Cu co.tents; this increased hardness is likely related to.the presence o. the θ and τ′ phases.
