Research background: Breast cancer remains a major public health problem, with a high number of new cases and deaths each year. However, despite advances in research to improve this disease, there is a high rate of late detection, leading to diagnosis at an advanced stage and a reduced chance of survival. Objective: The aim of this study is to identify the factors associated with late detection of breast cancer in women in Sub-Saharan Africa from 2014 to ***: This systematic review focuses on sub-Saharan Africa. Methods: We searched for articles in four databases (PubMed, embase, Global-Health and CINAHL) between 2014 and 2020 and performed a narrative synthesis to organize and group the different factors associated with late breast cancer detection. Result: After reviewing 583 publications, 6 studies were selected, highlighting factors such as lack of awareness, knowledge gaps, difficulties in accessing health services and financial constraints associated with late breast cancer screening. The participants, who ranged in number from 20 to 1776, were mainly aged between 18 and 25, with a mean age of 25 years and 6 months. Conclusion: The analysis enabled us to identify various factors associated with late breast cancer screening. Collaboration between health professionals, community organizations and policy-makers is essential to foster an environment conducive to the prevention and early detection of breast cancer.

Background The nationally determined contribution（NDC） presented by Argentina within the framework of the Paris Agreement is aligned with the decisions made in the context of the United Nations Framework Conven-tion on Climate Change（UNFCCC） on the reduction of emissions derived from deforestation and forest degradation, as well as forest carbon conservation（ReDD+）. In addition, climate change constitutes one of the greatest threats to forest biodiversity and ecosystem services. However, the soil organic carbon（SOC） stocks of native forests have not been incorporated into the Forest Reference emission Levels calculations and for conservation planning under cli-mate variability due to a lack of information. The objectives of this study were:（i） to model SOC stocks to 30 cm of native forests at a national scale using climatic, topographic and vegetation as predictor variables, and（ii） to relate SOC stocks with spatial–temporal remotely sensed indices to determine biodiversity conservation concerns due to threats from high inter-annual climate *** We used 1040 forest soil samples（0–30 cm） to generate spatially explicit estimates of SOC native forests in Argentina at a spatial resolution of approximately 200 m. We selected 52 potential predictive environmental covari-ates, which represent key factors for the spatial distribution of SOC. All covariate maps were uploaded to the Google earth engine cloud-based computing platform for subsequent modelling. To determine the biodiversity threats from high inter-annual climate variability, we employed the spatial–temporal satellite-derived indices based on enhanced Vegetation Index（eVI） and land surface temperature（LST） images from Landsat *** SOC model（0–30 cm depth） prediction accounted for 69% of the variation of this soil property across the whole native forest coverage in Argentina. Pharmaceutical residues have become tightly controlled environmental contaminants in recent years, due to their increasing concentration in environmental components. This is mainly caused by their high level of production and everyday consumption. Therefore there is a need to apply new and sufficiently sensitive analytical methods, which can detect the presence of these contaminants even in very low concentrations. This study is focused on the application of a reliable analytical method for the analysis of 10 selected drug residues, mainly from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs （salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid, ctofibric acid, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, caffeine, naproxen, mefenamic acid, ketoprofen, and dicofenac）, in wastewaters and surface waters. This analytical method is based on solid phase extraction, derivatization by N-methyl-N-（trimethylsilyl）trifluoroacetamide （MSTFA） and finally analysis by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with Time-of-Flight mass spectrometric detection （GC×GC- TOF MS）. Detection limits ranged from 0.18 to 5 ng/L depending on the compound and selected matrix. The method was successfully applied for detection of the presence of selected pharmaceuticals in the Svratka River and in wastewater from the wastewater treatment plant in Brno-Modrice, Czech Republic. The concentration of pharmaceuticals varied from one to several hundreds of ng/L in surface water and from one to several tens of μg/L in wastewater.

Background： Osteoporosis is a common complication of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease （COPD）. Recent clinical and biological researches have increasingly delineated the biomolecular pathways of bone metabolism regulation in COPD. We extended this work by examining the specific association and potential contribution of the osteoprotegerin （OPG）/receptor activator of nuclear factor-riB ligand （RANKL） axis to the pathogenesis of osteoporosis in advanced COPD. The aim of this study was to assess the relationships of serum OPG, RANKL, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha （TNF-a） with bone turnover in men with very severe COPD. Methods： Pulmonary function, T-score at the lumbar spine （LS） and femoral neck （FN）, serum OPG, RANKL, soluble receptor of tumor necrosis factor-alpha-1 and 11 （sTNFR-I, sTNFR-II）, osteocalcin （OC）, and β-CrossLaps （βCL） levels were measured in 45 men with very severe stage COPD and 36 male non-COPD volunteers. COPD patients and healthy controls were compared using all independent t-test and Mann-Whitney U-test. The Pearson coefficient was used to assess the relationships between variables. Results： OPG and OC were lower in male COPD patients than in control subjects whereas RANKL, serum ~CL, TN F-o~, and its receptors were higher. OPG directly correlated with forced expiratory volume in I s （FeVI） % predicted （r = 0.46, P 〈 0.005）, OC （r= 0.34, P 〈 0.05）, LS （I.= 0.56, P 〈 0.001 ）, and FN T-score （r= 0.47, P 〈 0.01 ）. In contrast, serum RANKL inversely associated with LS and FN T-score （r = -0.62, P 〈 0.001 and r = -0.48, P 〈 0.001 ） but directly correlated with [3CL （r = 0.48, P 〈 0.001 ）. In addition, OPG was inversely correlated with RANKL （r = -0.39, P 〈 0.01 ）, TNF-a （r = -0.56, P 〈 0.001 ）, and sTNFR-I （r = -0.40, P 〈 0.01 ）. Conelusion： Our results suggest that serum OPG and RANKL levels are inversely associated with bone loss in men with advanced stage COPD.

Phenylketonuria(PKU)is an autosomal recessive metabolic disorder caused by deficiency of phenylalanine hydroxylase(PAH).The major molecular defects causing PKU are missense mutations of PAH *** deletions of exon 5(eX5del955 and eX5del4232ins)were first reported by the Czech study and were later found also in the Polish,Slovak,Slovenian and Italian *** observations demonstrate the existence of a common subset of this mutation predominantly among Central european populations of Slavic *** is why we suggest that eX5del1955 and eX5del4232ins268 mutations might be frequent causes of PKU in Ukrainian ***5del955 and eX5del4232ins268 mutations were analyzed in 106 unrelated PKU patients negative for PAH gene mutations on one or both alleles from our previous *** simultaneous detection of eX5del4232ins268 and eX5del955 mutations was performed by PCR amplification of mutant ***5del955 mutation was not detected in the Ukrainian *** relative alleles frequency of eX5del4232ins268 mutation in the Ukrainian PKU population was determined as 1,66%.Our findings can be the one more evidence of Central european Slavic origin of eX5del4232ins268 mutation,suggested *** finding is important for the improvement of DNA diagnosis necessary for the management of PKU patients from Ukraine.
