Cellular function relies on numerous diverse processes,all happening *** means by which cells manage these processes is through the use of biomolecular *** membrane-less compartments,often created through phase separation,influence cellular mechanisms ranging from reaction kinetics to biomolecule sequestration(Banani et al.,2017).In plants,biomolecular condensates play roles in desiccation tolerance(Belott et al.,2020),transcriptional control(Powers et al.,2019;Bondos et al.,2021),and a myriad of other diverse processes(Emenecker et al.,2021).Recently,condensates have been discovered to have the ability to exert forces through interactions with cellular *** example,capillary interaction between condensates and other cellular components can generate force;however,more study is necessary to elucidate these mechanisms and interactions(Kusumaatmaja et al.,2021;Gouveia et al.,2022).A recent work by Wang et al.(2024)has revealed new insights into how biomolecular condensates may exert forces on membranes through bending and ***,they provide in silico methods and a model to investigate the forces at play during membrane wetting.

Introduction: The misuse of antibiotics has driven the emergence of antimicrobial resistance, with certain bacterial species, including Klebsiella pneumoniae, initially susceptible to most antibiotics, now exhibiting resistance to multiple antimicrobial agents. The objective of this study was to investigate the distribution and antimicrobial resistance profiles of Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated at the Yaoundé Central Hospital. Methodology: The study was conducted over a period of 4 months (March 1st, 2023-July 1st, 2023) and involved 32 strains isolated from bacterial cultures performed on patients, regardless of sex. The different Klebsiella pneumoniae strains were isolated using conventional methods. Identification, antibiogram, and detection of resistance enzyme production were generated using the VITEK 2 system. The Carbapenem-resistant K.N.I.V.O. kit was used to detect carbapenemases. Data analysis was performed using EXCEL 2019 software. Results: Out of 196 samples collected from various biological products, 32 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains were isolated, representing 16.32% (196/32). Urine samples were most frequently affected, accounting for 53.125%. The emergency department was the most represented (40.63%) by these isolates. The mean age was 50 years, with a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 80 years. The sex ratio was equal to 1. The identified strains were resistant to cefotaxime (78.13%), cefoxitin (62.50%), tobramycin (71.88%), gentamicin (56.25%), ofloxacin (81.25%), and cotrimoxazole (78.13%). 78.25% were ESBL producers. Three strains were resistant to carbapenems, accounting for 9.37%;one of which exhibited the NDM type. Conclusion: This study highlights the evolving bacterial resistance to antibiotics, which requires adequate measures through the strengthening of the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) program in Cameroon.

Simultaneous free convection above and below a uniformly heated horizontal plate has been widely investigated,both in the case of an isothermal surface,and of a uniformly heated surface,but always assuming only air as fluid(Pr=0.7).Nevertheless,there are works dealing with horizontal plates whose results show that the Nu dependence on Pr may not be simply expressed by a power law with the same exponent of the Gr *** it was considered useful to study the Prandtl number influence in the case of the isothermal horizontal *** show that,while for the lower surface of the strip the Nu dependence in Gr can be expressed by a power law with an exponent close to the Gr one,for the upper surface the exponent is sensibly *** equations related to the investigated situations are proposed.

Dislocation dynamics simulations are performed to investigate the effect of template shape on the nanoimprinting of metal layers. To this end, metal thin films are imprinted by a rigid template made of an array of equispaced indenters of various shapes, i.e., rectangular, wedge, and circular. The geometry of the indenters is chosen such that the contact area is approximately the same at the final imprinting depth. Results show that, for all template shapes, the final patterns strongly depend on the dislocation activity, and that each imprint differs from the neighboring ones. Large material pile ups appear between the imprints, such that polishing of the metal layer is suggested for application of the patterns in electronics. Rectangular indenters require the lowest imprinting force and achieve the deepest retained imprints.

The thermal behaviour of the solids under elastic deformations is analysed in order to obtain a model which combines the molecular dynamics results with the global thermal behaviour of the solids under elastic transformations. The result obtained consists of the introduction of the thermal behaviour in the Parrinello-Rahman model, obtaining the thermal molecular dynamic model useful in the analysis of the thermoelastic behaviour of solids.

The presence of toxic dyes in the aqueous medium has threatened environmental safety, and thereby re- moving them from wastewater in an efficient way is highly desired. Herein, the efficient biosorbents were successfully fabricated via a facile physical gelation process of sodium alginate (SA) and carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCTS) in an acidic aqueous solution. The as-prepared hydrogel beads not only displayed water superabsorbent properties and pH-responsive swelling characters but also exhibited excellent methylene blue (MB) adsorption capacity removal efficiency with experimental maximum MB adsorption capacity of 2518 and 1005 mg g -1 , which are comparable with most reported lignocellulosic and alginate-based hydrogels. The MB adsorption process fitted well in different kinetic and isotherm models and became more heterogeneous in concentrated MB solutions as verified by principal component analysis results. The adsorption mechanism was proposed, and the high dye absorbency was attributed to the strong electro- static forces between adsorbents and adsorbates. Our current study provides a promising and sustainable composite hydrogels platform targeted to dye decontamination.

Let X be a zero-dimensional scheme in p1 × p1. Then X has a minimal free resolution of length 2 if and only if X is ACM. In this paper we determine a class of reduced schemes whose resolutions, similarly to the ACM case, can be obtained by their Hilbert functions and depend only on their distributions of points in a grid of lines. Moreover, a minimal set of generators of the ideal of these schemes is given by curves split into the union of lines.

Northwestern Morocco is undergoing a sudden change in the level of infrastructure growth and pressure on the environment from increased *** ongoing changes are raising questions about how the ecosystem will react,and the relevant drivers of these *** Oued Laou valley in north-west Morocco hosts high landscape,species and human cultural *** Talassemtane National Park has been established to preserve the envi-ronment in this region;however,what information tools are available to children regarding this environment?The ecosystem is illustrated here using three components:herpetofauna(representing ecosystem components),prob-lems related to water quantity and quality(representing interactions within ecosystem components)and Talassemtane National Park(representing a case of ecosystem management).A children’s book was written on this topic,and when the book was delivered to pupils,a questionnaire was included,aimed at determining their sources of environ-mental *** results identified major changes in the sources of information utilized by children in this part of Morocco,a clear role of schools in explaining ecosystem components,and an increasing role of TV in environmental information *** role of the family was found to be less important than TV or *** major source of pupils’environmental knowledge is personal observation and hands-on experience,both for rural and urban *** are willing to discover and understand complex systems,and researchers should be encouraged to supply children with correct and up-to-date information on environmental systems,focusing at first on the local environment,as a background for sustainable development.
