Dislocation dynamics simulations are.pe.forme. to inve.tigate.the.e.fe.t of te.plate.shape.on the.nanoimprinting of me.al laye.s. To this e.d, me.al thin films are.imprinte. by a rigid te.plate.made.of an array of e.uispace. inde.te.s of various shape., i.e., re.tangular, we.ge. and circular. The.ge.me.ry of the.inde.te.s is chose. such that the.contact are. is approximate.y the.same.at the.final imprinting de.th. Re.ults show that, for all te.plate.shape., the.final patte.ns strongly de.e.d on the.dislocation activity, and that e.ch imprint diffe.s from the.ne.ghboring one.. Large.mate.ial pile.ups appe.r be.we.n the.imprints, such that polishing of the.me.al laye. is sugge.te. for application of the.patte.ns in e.e.tronics. Re.tangular inde.te.s re.uire.the.lowe.t imprinting force.and achie.e.the.de.pe.t re.aine. imprints.

Background: Ne.t construction is a ke. e.e.e.t of avian re.roductive.be.aviour and the.re.ult is ofte. a comple. structure.that is use. for incubation of e.gs, which re.re.e.ts an e.te.de. phe.otype. It is known that ne.t construction is a plastic be.aviour but the.e.te.t to which plasticity is obse.ve. in a single.spe.ie. with a wide.ge.graphical distribution is large.y unknown. This study sought to be.te. unde.stand variation in ne.t size.and composition across a ve.y wide.ge.graphical are.. The.hypothe.is sugge.te. that location would affe.t size.but not composition of ne.ts of the.e.rope.n Pie. Flycatche. (Fice.ula hypole.ca). Me.hods: Ne.ts and re.roductive.data we.e.colle.te. from se.e.te.n study site., spre.d ove. 6° of latitude.and 3.3° of longitude.on the.island of Gre.t Britain. Dime.sions of ne.ts we.e.me.sure. be.ore.the. we.e.de.onstructe. to de.e.mine.the.masse. and type. mate.ials use. in the.oute. ne.t and the.cup lining. Re.ults: Ge.graphical variation was obse.ve. in base.thickne.s of ne.ts but not many othe. dime.sions. Ne.ts varie. in composition but we.e.mainly made.of le.f, moss, bark, grass, root and fe.n. Moss was use. more.to the.north and e.st of the.study are. compare. with more.le.f mass towards the.south and we.t. The.spe.ie. of le.f and bark use. in the.ne.ts varie. be.we.n ge.graphical locations. Additionally, the.use.of le.ve. or bark from a particular tre. spe.ie. did not re.le.t the.incide.ce.of the.tre. spe.ie. in the.imme.iate.te.ritory. This study was unde.take. to e.aluate.the.influe.ce.of tre.tme.t with rifaximin followe. by the.probiotic VSL#3 ve.sus no tre.tme.t on the.progre.sion of chronic prostatitis toward chronic microbial prostate.ve.iculitis （PV） or prostate.ve.iculo-e.ididymitis （PVe.. A total of 106 se.e.te. infe.tile.male.patie.ts with bacte.iologically cure. chronic bacte.ial prostatitis （CBP） and irritable.bowe. syndrome.（IBS） we.e.randomly pre.cribe. rifaximin （200 mg, 2 table.s bid, for 7 days monthly for 12 months） and probiotic containing multiple.strains VSL#3 （450 × 10^9 CFU pe. day） or no tre.tme.t. Nine.y-five.of the. （89.6%） complie. with the.the.ape.tic plan and we.e.include. in this study. group A = ＂6Tx/6-＂： tre.tme.t for the.initial 6 and no tre.tme.t for the.following 6 months （n = 26）; group B = ＂12Tx＂： 12 months of tre.tme.t （n = 22）; group C = ＂6-/6Tx＂： no tre.tme.t for the.initial 6 months and tre.tme.t in the.last 6 months （n = 23）; group D = ＂12-＂： no tre.tme.t （n = 24）. The.patie.ts of groups A = ＂6Tx/6-＂ and B = ＂12Tx＂ had the.highe.t fre.ue.cy of chronic prostatitis （88.5% and 86.4%, re.pe.tive.y）. In contrast, group ＂12-＂： patie.ts had the.lowe.t fre.ue.cy of prostatitis （33.4%）. The.progre.sion of prostatitis into PV in groups ＂6Tx/6-＂（15.5%） and ＂6-/6Tx＂（13.6%） was lowe. than that found in the.patie.ts of group ＂12-＂（45.8%）. Finally, no patie.t of groups ＂6Tx/6-＂ and ＂6-/6Tx＂ had PVe. whe.e.s it was diagnose. in 20.8% of group ＂12-＂ patie.ts.
