We focus on gas sorption within metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)for energy applications and identify the minimal set of crystallographic descriptors underpinning the most important properties of MOFs for CO_(2)and H_(2)O.A comprehensive comparison of several sequential learning algorithms for MOFs properties optimization is performed and the role played by those descriptors is *** energy transformations,thermodynamic limits of important figures of merit crucially depend on equilibrium properties in a wide range of sorbate coverage values,which is often only partially accessible,hence possibly preventing the computation of desired objective *** propose a fast procedure for optimizing specific energy in a closed sorption energy storage system with only access to a single water Henry coefficient value and to the specific surface *** are thus able to identify hypothetical candidate MOFs that are predicted to outperform state-of-the-art water-sorbent pairs for thermal energy storage applications.

The aerothermal performance of a trailing edge （TE） internal cooling system of a high pressure gas turbine blade was evaluated under stationary and rotating conditions. The investigated geometry consists of a 30：1 scaled model reproducing a typical wedge shaped discharge duct with one row of enlarged pedestals. The airflow pattern inside the device simulates a highly loaded rotor blade cooling scheme with a 90 [deg] turning flow from the radial hub inlet to the tangential TE outlet. Two different tip configurations were tested, the first one with a completely closed section, the second one with a 5 holes outlet surfaces discharging at ambient pressure. In order to assess rotation effects, a rotating test rig, composed of a rotating ann holding both the PMMA TE model and the instru mentation, was purposely developed and manufactured. A thin Inconel heating foil and wide band Thermochromic Liquid Crystals are used to perform steady state heat transfer measurements on the blade pres sure side. A rotary joint ensures the pneumatic connection between the blower and the rotating apparatus; more over several slip rings are used for both instrumentation power supply and thermocouple connection. A parallel CFD analysis involving steadystate RANS modeling was conducted to allow an insight of the flow field inside the redirecting channel and the interpedestal ducts to better interpret the developing vortical structures. LowReynolds grid clustering permits to integrate up to the wall both the momentum and the thermal boundary layer. Calculations were performed by means of an inhouse developed pressure based solver exploiting the kco SST turbulence model implemented in the framework of the opensource finite volume discretization toolbox OpenFOAM~. Analyzed flow conditions correspond to Reynolds number of 20000 in the hub inlet section and angular speed varies to obtain rotation numbers in the range from 0 to 0.3. Nowadays, as an emerging technology, additive manufacturing(AM) has received numerous attentions from researchers around the world. The method comprises layer-by-layer manufacturing of products according to the 3D CAD models of the objects. Among other things, AM is capable of producing metal matrix composites(MMCs). Hence, plenty of works in the literature are dedicated to developing different types of MMCs through AM processes. Hence, this paper provides a comprehensive overview on the latest research that has been carried out on the development of the powder-based AM manufactured MMCs from a scientific and technological viewpoint, aimed at highlighting the opportunities and challenges of this innovative manufacturing process. For instance, it is documented that AM is not only able to resolve the reinforcement/matrix bonding issues usually faced with during conventional manufacturing of MMCs, but also it is capable of producing functionally graded composites and geometrically complex objects. Furthermore, it provides the opportunity for a uniform distribution of the reinforcing phase in the metallic matrix and is able to produce composites using refractory metals thanks to the local heat source employed in the method. Despite the aforementioned advantages, there are still some challenges needing more attention from the researchers. Rapid cooling nature of the process, significantly different coe fficient of expansion of the matrix and reinforcement, processability, and the lack of suitable parameters and standards for the production of defect-free AM MMCs seem to be among the most important issues to deal with in future works.

The use of micro-/nanoelectromechanical resonators for the room temperature detection of electromagnetic radiation at infrared frequencies has recently been investigated,showing thermal detection capabilities that could potentially outperform conventional *** scaling of the device thickness in the nanometer range and the achievement of high infrared absorption in such a subwavelength thickness,without sacrificing the electromechanical performance,are the two key challenges for the implementation of fast,high-resolution micro-/nanoelectromechanical resonant infrared *** this paper,we show that by using a virtually massless,high-electrical-conductivity,and transparent graphene electrode,floating at the van der Waals separation of a few angstroms from a piezoelectric aluminum nitride nanoplate,it is possible to implement ultrathin(460 nm)piezoelectric nanomechanical resonant structures with improved electromechanical performance(450% improved frequency×quality factor)and infrared detection capabilities(4100×improved infrared absorptance)compared with metal-electrode counterparts,despite their reduced *** intrinsic infrared absorption capabilities of a submicron thin graphene–aluminum nitride plate backed with a metal electrode are investigated for the first time and exploited for the first experimental demonstration of a piezoelectric nanoelectromechanical resonant thermal detector with enhanced infrared absorptance in a reduced ***,the combination of electromagnetic and piezoelectric resonances provided by the same graphene–aluminum nitride-metal stack allows the proposed device to selectively detect short-wavelength infrared radiation(by tailoring the thickness of aluminum nitride)with unprecedented electromechanical performance and thermal *** attributes potentially lead to the development of uncooled infrared detectors suitable for the implementation of high performance,miniaturized and power-efficient mul

In this paper, I suggest that, even more than the state, capitalist enterprise is the most influential institution of neoliberalism, both for the effect it conveys in terms of management in public institutions （New Public Management） and its influence on the subjectivity of neoliberal individuals. However, one could stress, from the perspective of economic theory of the firm, the neoliberal transformations of the capitalist enterprises itself. Two transformations that are taking place from the 1980s seem particularly important. The first is the firm＇s transformation in a ＂nexus of contracts＂ as claimed by the agency theory of Jensen and Meckling that describe and enable the current financialization of the economy. The second is the trans- formation of organisations in a ＂nexus of skills＂ as claimed by the cognitive paradigm of the firm that apply to the company economic reasoning in terms of ＂human capital＂. I then examine the effects on neoliberal subjectivation of these two major changes, from the labour point of view. First, the neoliberal subject imagines, describes and manages itself as the subject of investment in ＂human capital＂. Second, the disappearance of traditional employment contract corresponds to the emergence and intensification of another form of contract, the ＂psychological contract＂, which tends to become a major form of relationship-employed but also a model for relationships between individuals. Finally, lifelong learning is becoming the major form of empowerment of employees, but also a ＂lifestyle＂ based on the apprecia6on of one＇s own human capital and the infinite task of perfecting oneself to match up our ＂skills portfolio＂ with the labour market. These transformations of neoliberal subjectivity have costs that can be summarised by the widespread phe- nomena of burn out, but also the birth of a new form of racism, based on ＂quality＂ of human capital （skills, abilities, capabilities）.

Hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection after biological accident(needlestick injury) is a rare *** report describes the first case of acute HCV infection after a needlestick injury in a female nursing student at Padua University *** student nurse was injured on the second finger of the right hand when recapping a 23-gauge needle after taking a blood *** patient who was the source was a 72-year-old female with weakly positive anti-HCV test *** months after the injury,at the second step of followup,a relevant increase in transaminases with a low viral replication activity(350 IU/mL) was observed in the student,indicating HCV *** patient tested positive for the same genotype(1b) of HCV as the injured student.A rapid decline in transaminases,which was not accompanied by viral clearance,and persistently positive HCV-RNA was described 1 mo *** months after testing positive for HCV,the student was treated with pegylated interferon plus ribavirin for 24 wk.A rapid virological response was observed after 4 wk of treatment,and a sustained virological response(SVR) was evident 6 mo after therapy withdrawal,confirming that the patient was definitively *** the favourable IL28B gene(rs12979860) CC-polymorphism observed in the patient,which is usually predictive of a spontaneous clearance and SVR,spontaneous viral clearance did not take place;however,infection with this genotype was promising for a sustained virological response after therapy.
