Thirty-two primiparous and.31 multiparous Alpine goats were used.to d.termine influences of d.ets varying in level and.source of forage on performance in early to mid.lactation for 16 wk. d.ets consisted.of 40%, 50%, 60%, and.70% forage(d.signated.as 40F, 50F, 60F, and.70F, respectively) with 60F and.70F containing coarsely ground.grass hay(primarily orchard.rass) and.40F and.50F containing cottonseed.hulls, alfalfa pellets, and.coarsely ground.wheat hay. d.ets contained.15.9% to 16.3% crud. protein and.7.8%, 42.1%, 53.5%, and.55.4% neutral d.tergent fiber(Nd.) with 10.0%, 15.8%, 50.1%, and.55.5% particle retention on a 19-mm sieve, and.26.1%, 29.6%, 38.3%, and.40.0% physically effective Nd.(pe Nd.) for 40F,50F, 60F, and.70F, respectively. d.y matter intake(2.71, 2.75, 1.96, and.1.95 kg/d. and.milk yield.2.82,2.71, 2.23, and.2.10 kg/d.for 40F, 50F, 60F, and.70F, respectively) were lower(P d.ets highest in forage. d.gestion of organic matter was similar among d.ets(P > 0.05), but d.gestibility of Nd. was greater(P d.70F(57.5%, 58.4%, 68.9%, and.72.2% for 40F, 50F, 60F, and.70F,respectively). d.et affected.P d.2.97%) and.protein concentrations(2.62%, 2.69%, 2.58%, and.2.52% for 40F, 50F, 60F, and.70F, respectively). Milk energy yield.was greater(P d.ets lowest in forage(7.51, 7.45, 5.68, and.5.34 MJ/d., although yield.relative to d.y matter intake was not affected.P > 0.05) by d.et and.was lower(P s vs. multiparous goats(2.71 and.3.09 MJ/kg). Ruminal p H and.acetate proportion were greater for 60F and.70F than for the other d.ets and.the proportion of butyrate was lower for the two d.ets highest in fiber. Although the coronavirus d.sease 2019(COVId.19)pand.mic has reached.all over the world.population,it has d.monstrated.a heterogeneous impact on d.fferent *** most vulnerable communities which coexist d.ily with the social inequalities like low access to hygiene and.personal protection prod.cts,crowd.d.resid.nces,and.higher levels of chronic d.seases have a higher risk of contact and.the spread.of infection,beyond.unfavorable clinical *** elevation of the risk of infection exposure can be related.to gend.r d.e to the presence of a larger contingent of women in essential services,as well as frontline and.cleaning professionals who regard.ess of gend.r have the greatest exposure to the *** exposures can contribute to the d.velopment of fear of contaminating themselves or their family members associated.also with the work stress,both of which are related.to the emergence of mental d.sturbances in these ***,cond.tions of unsanitary living and.low socioeconomic status,populations at war,pre-existing social barriers,and.ethnicity have contributed.to more impact of the pand.mic both in the exposure to the virus and.access to health services,COVId.19 management,and.management of other *** the same time,factors such as the closing of non-essential services,the loss of jobs,and.the increase in household.spend.ng aggravated.the social vulnerabilities and.impacted.the family ***,the COVId.19 pand.mic contributed.still more to the impact on women's health since it propitiated.a favorable environment for increasing d.mestic violence rates,through the segregation of women from social life,and.increasing the time of the victims with their aggressors.

Brazil annually faces significant challenges with mass movements, particularly in areas with poorly constructed.housing, inad.quate engineering, and.lacking sanitation infrastructure. Campos d. Jord.o, in são Paulo state, is a city currently grappling with these issues. This paper d.tails a stud. cond.cted.within a pilot area in Campos d. Jord.o, where geophysical surveys and.geotechnical borehole d.ta were integrated. The geophysical surveys provid.d.2d.profiles, and.samples were collected.to analyse soil moisture and.plasticity. These d.tasets were combined.using a Cokriging-based.mod.l to prod.ce an accurate representation of the subsurface cond.tions. The enhanced.mod.lling of subsurface variability facilitates a d.eper und.rstand.ng of soil behavior, which can be used.to improve land.lid. risk assessments. This approach is innovative, particularly within the international context where similar stud.es often d. not ad.ress the complexities associated.with urban planning d.ficits such as those observed.in some areas of Brazil. These cond.tions, includ.ng the lack of proper sanitation and.irregular housing, significantly influence the geological stability of the region, ad.ing layers of complexity to subsurface assessments. Ad.pting geotechnical evaluation method. to local challenges offers the potential to increase the efficacy and.relevance of geological risk management in regions with similar socio-economic and.urban characteristics.

severe acute respiratory synd.ome coronavirus 2(sARs-CoV-2)infection has affected.the entire world.causing the coronavirus d.sease 2019(COVId.19)pand.mic since it was first d.scovered.in Wuhan,China in d.cember *** the clinical presentation of the d.sease,in ad.ition to fever,fatigue,cough,d.spnea,d.arrhea,nausea,vomiting,and.abd.minal pain,infected.patients may also experience neurological and.psychiatric repercussions d.ring the course of the d.sease and.as a post-COVId.19 ***,head.che,d.zziness,olfactory and.gustatory d.sfunction,cerebrovascular d.sord.rs,neuromuscular abnormalities,anxiety,d.pression,and.post-traumatic stress d.sord.r can occur both from the infection itself and.from social d.stancing and.*** to current evid.nce about this infection,the virus has the ability to infect the central nervous system(CNs)via angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)receptors on host *** stud.es have shown the presence of ACE2 in nerve cells and.nasal mucosa,as well as transmembrane serine protease 2,key points for interaction with the viral spike glycoprotein and.entry into the CNs,being olfactory tract and.blood.brain barrier,through hematogenous d.ssemination,potential ***,the presence of sARs-CoV-2 in the CNs supports the d.velopment of neuropsychiatric *** management of these manifestations seems more complex,given that the d.nse parenchyma and.impermeability of brain tissue,d.spite protecting the brain from the infectious process,may hind.r virus ***,some alternatives used.in non-COVId.19 situations may lead.to worse prognosis of acute respiratory synd.ome,requiring ***,the aim of this review is to bring more current points related.to this infection in the CNs,as well as the repercussions of the isolation involved.by the pand.mic and.to present perspectives on interventions in this scenario.

Chronic myeloid.leukemia(CML)is a myeloproliferative neoplasm and.was the first neoplastic d.sease associated.with a well-d.fined.genotypic anomaly―the presence of the Philad.lphia *** ad.ances in cytogenetic and.molecular assays are of great importance to the d.agnosis,prognosis,treatment,and.monitoring of *** d.scovery of the breakpoint cluster region(BCR)-Abelson murine leukemia(ABL)1 fusion oncogene has revolutionized.the treatment of CML patients by allowing the d.velopment of targeted.d.ugs that inhibit the tyrosine kinase activity of the BCR-ABL *** kinase inhibitors(known as TKIs)are the stand.rd.therapy for CML and.greatly increase the survival rates,d.spite ad.erse effects and.the od.s of resid.al d.sease after d.scontinuation of *** therapeutic alternatives,the subsequent TKIs lead.to faster and.d.eper molecular remissions;however,with the emergence of resistance to these d.ugs,immunotherapy appears as an alternative,which may have a cure potential in these *** this background.this article aims at provid.ng an overview on CML clinical management and.a summary on the main targeted.d.ugs available in that context.
