Enhancing source domain availability through data and feature transfer learning for building power load forecasting

During the initial phases of operation following the construction or renovation of existing buildings,the availability of historical power usage data is limited,which leads to lower accuracy in load forecasting and hinders normal ***,by transferring load data from similar buildings,it is possible to enhance forecasting ***,indiscriminately expanding all source domain data to the target domain is highly likely to result in negative transfer *** study explores the feasibility of utilizing similar buildings(source domains)in transfer learning by implementing and comparing two distinct forms of multi-source transfer ***,this study focuses on the Higashita area in Kitakyushu City,Japan,as the research *** buildings that exhibit the highest similarity to the target buildings within this area were selected for ***,the two-stage TrAdaBoost.R^(2) algorithm is used for multi-source transfer learning,and its transfer effect is ***,the application effects of instance-based(IBMTL)and feature-based(FBMTL)multi-source transfer learning are compared,which explained the effect of the source domain data on the forecasting accuracy in different transfer *** results show that combining the two-stage TrAdaBoost.R^(2) algorithm with multi-source data can reduce the CV-RMSE by 7.23%compared to a single-source domain,and the accuracy improvement is *** the same time,multi-source transfer learning,which is based on instance,can better supplement the integrity of the target domain data and has a higher forecasting ***,IBMTL tends to retain effective data associations and FBMTL shows higher forecasting *** findings of this study,which include the verification of real-life algorithm application and source domain availability,can serve as a theoretical reference for implementing transfer learning in load forecasting.

Aspirin,one of the most widely applied medicines,not only possesses the effects on reducing fever,anti-vascular hyperplasia,and anti-inflammation,but also has the capacity of preventing platelet *** far,it is acceptable to adopt aspirin,especially low-dose aspirin(LDA),to prevent pregnancy-related complications,such as pregnancy complicated by antiphospholipid syndrome,systemic lupus erythematosus,or preeclampsia;unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion;fetal growth restriction;and preterm *** this article,we reviewed the possible mechanism of action and applications of aspirin in these pregnancy-related complications.

As an ultrasmall derivative of black phosphorus(BP)sheets,BP quantum dots(BP-QDs)have been effectively used in many ***,information on the cardiotoxicity induced by BP-QDs remains *** aimed to evaluate BP-QD-induced cardiac toxicity in *** examination of heart tissue sections was *** sequencing,real-time quantitative PCR(RT–qPCR),western blotting,and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)assays were used to detect the m RNA and/or protein expression of proinfammatory cytokines,nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB),phosphatidylinositol3 kinase-protein kinase B(PI3K-AKT),peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma(PPARγ),and glucose/lipid metabolism pathway-related *** found that heart weight and heart/body weight index(HBI)were significantly reduced in mice after intragastric administration of 0.1 or 1 mg/kg BP-QDs for 28 *** addition,obvious infammatory cell infiltration and increased cardiomyocyte diameter were observed in the BP-QD-treated *** expression of proinfammatory cytokines and genes related to the NF-κB signaling pathway further confirmed that BP-QD exposure induced infammatory *** addition,BP-QD treatment also affected the PI3K-AKT,PPARγ,thermogenesis,oxidative phosphorylation,and cardiac muscle contraction signaling *** expression of genes related to glucose/lipid metabolism signaling pathways was dramatically affected by BP-QD exposure,and the effect was primarily mediated by the PPAR signaling *** study provides new insights into the toxicity of BP-QDs to human health.

Aspirin Enhances the Protective Effect of Progesterone on Trophoblast Cell from Oxidative Stress and Apoptosis

Objective:Clinically,low-dose aspirin and progesterone are frequently used to prevent pregnancy *** investigated the effect of these drugs on the biological behavior of human extravillous trophoblasts in ***:HTR-8/SVneo cells were cultured in vitro and treated with different concentrations of aspirin and *** proliferation,invasion,and apoptosis of HTR-8/SVneo cells were assessed using a cell counting Kit-8 assay,Matrigel Transwell assay,and Hoechst staining,*** transcriptase polymerase chain reaction was used to verify the expression of related *** oxygen species(ROS)levels were detected using the 2,7-dichlorofluorescin diacetate ***:Low-dose aspirin alone,progesterone alone,or aspirin plus progesterone upregulated the proliferation and invasion and decreased the apoptosis of HTR-8/SVneo ***,the expression of marker of proliferation Ki-67(MKI67),matrix metalloproteinases 2(MMP2),and MMP9 was *** addition,low-dose aspirin plus progesterone exerted stronger anti-apoptosis effects than low-dose aspirin and progesterone ***,aspirin upregulated the expression of progesterone receptor(PGR).Treatment with hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))promoted ROS production in HTR-8/SVneo cells;however,low-dose aspirin plus progesterone significantly restricted H_(2)O_(2)-mediated ROS production and apoptosis in HTR-8/SVneo ***:These data suggest that low-dose aspirin and progesterone promote proliferation and invasion and cooperatively reduce oxidative stress and apoptosis in trophoblasts in *** results may provide an experimental basis for the combined application of aspirin and progesterone to prevent unexplained recurrent spontaneous miscarriage,especially in patients with trophoblast dysfunction.

Shallow sub-lakes are essential for sustaining the successful wintering of waterbirds in Poyang Lake,China

For migratory waterbirds,the quality of wintering habitat is related to spring migration and successful breeding in the next *** availability of food resources in the habitat is critical and varies within water *** the water-level fluctuations in Poyang Lake have been extremely variable interannually in recent years,the wintering waterbird populations have remained relatively ***,the mechanism of maintaining the stability is worth *** study aimed to compare the distribution of vegetation and herbivorous wa-terbirds in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017,focusing on three shallow sub-lakes and one main lake *** results showed that the emergence of tubers and the growth of Carex *** a continuous food supply and habitat for wintering waterbirds with a gradual decline in the water *** sub-lakes supported almost all of the tuber-eating waterbirds(1.42-1.62×10^(5))and most geese(1.34-1.53×10^(6)).However,the main lake area,covered with Persicaria hydropiper,did not provide adequate and accessible *** resulted in almost no distribution of tuber-eating waterbirds,with only a few geese congregating in early *** results demonstrated that the shallow sub-lakes under human control provided a different environment from the main lake and are key to sustaining the successful wintering of hundreds of thousands of migratory waterbirds in Poyang ***,we recommend refining the anthropogenic management of the shallow sub-lakes to regulate the water level to ensure the carrying capacity of Poyang Lake.

Cooperative game penetration guidance for multiple hypersonic vehicles under safety critical framework

The rapid development of the anti-missile weapon technology brings new challenges to the cooperative penetration strategy solution and the guidance law design for Hypersonic Vehicles(HVs).This paper studies the coordinated game penetration guidance problem for multiple hypersonic vehicles faced with space threat areas.A scheme for seeking cooperative game penetration guidance strategy under safety critical control framework is *** this scheme,a multiHV cooperative game model is proposed in a minimum optimization form which can simplify the solving process and accelerate the computing ***,a second-order control barrier function is developed to transform the implicit nonlinear constraints of the proposed model into linear *** order to obtain better performance of guidance strategy,a composite guidance law under the safety critical control framework is presented to allocate guidance strategies appropriately in the whole *** is shown that the proposed scheme can guarantee successful penetration while avoiding threat ***,a comparative simulation with a two-on-three game is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

p-d Orbital Hybridization Engineered Single-Atom Catalyst for Electrocatalytic Ammonia Synthesis

The rational design of metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)for electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is ***-dimensional metal-organic frameworks(2DMOFs)is a unique class of promising *** to now,the roles of individual metals,coordination atoms,and their synergy effect on the electroanalytic performance remain ***,in this work,a series of 2DMOFs with different metals and coordinating atoms are systematically investigated as electrocatalysts for ammonia synthesis using density functional theory *** a specific metal,a proper metal-intermediate atoms p-d orbital hybridization interaction strength is found to be a key indicator for their NRR catalytic *** hybridization interaction strength can be quantitatively described with the p-/d-band center energy difference(Δd-p),which is found to be a sufficient descriptor for both the p-d hybridization strength and the NRR *** maximum free energy change(ΔG_(max))andΔd-p have a volcanic relationship with OsC_(4)(Se)_(4)located at the apex of the volcanic curve,showing the best NRR *** asymmetrical coordination environment could regulate the band structure subtly in terms of band overlap and *** work may shed new light on the application of orbital engineering in electrocatalytic NRR activity and especially promotes the rational design for SACs.

Visual near-infrared imaging equipment has broad applications in various fields such as venipuncture,facial injections,and safety verification due to its noncontact,compact,and portable ***,most studies utilize near-infrared single-wavelength for image acquisition of ***,many substances in the skin,including water,protein,and melanin can create significant background noise,which hinders accurate *** this paper,we developed a dual-wavelength imaging system with phase-locked denoising technology to acquire vein *** signals in the effective region are compared by using the absorption valley and peak of hemoglobin at 700nm and 940nm,*** phase-locked denoising algorithm is applied to decrease the noise and interference of complex surroundings from the *** imaging results of the vein are successfully extracted in complex noise *** is demonstrated that the denoising effect on hand veins imaging can be improved with 57.3%by using our dual-wavelength phase-locked denoising ***,this work proposes a novel approach for venous imaging with dual-wavelengths and phase-locked denoising algorithm to extract venous imaging results in complex noisy environment better.

Paeoniflorin,the Main Monomer Component of Paeonia lactiflora,Exhibits Anti-inflammatory Properties in Osteoarthritis Synovial Inflammation

Graphene effectively activating "dead" water molecules between manganese dioxide layers in potassium-ion battery

Aqueous potassium-ion batteries(APIBs),recognized as safe and reliable new energy devices,are considered as one of the alternatives to traditional *** MnO_(2),serving as the main cathode,exhibits a lower specific capacity in aqueous electrolytes compared to organic systems and operates through a different reaction *** application of highly conductive graphene may effectively enhance the capacity of APIBs but could complicate the potassium storage *** this study,a MnO_(2) cathode pre-intercalated with K~+ions and grown on graphene(KMO@rGO) was developed using the microwave hydrothermal method for ***@rGO achieved a specific capacity of 90 mA h g^(-1) at a current density of 0.1 A g^(-1),maintaining a capacity retention rate of>90% after 5000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1).In-situ and exsitu characterization techniques revealed the energy-storage mechanism of KMO@rGO:layered MnO_(2)traps a large amount of "dead" water molecules during K~+ions ***,the introduction of graphene enables these water molecules to escape during K~+ ions insertion at the *** galvanostatic intermittent titration technique and density functional theory confirmed that KMO@rGO has a higher K~+ions migration rate than MnO_(2).Therefore,the capacity of this cathode depends on the interaction between dead water and K~+ions during the energy-storage *** optimal structural alignment between layered MnO_(2) and graphene allows electrons to easily flow into the external *** charge compensation forces numerous low-solvent K~+ions to displace interlayer dead water,enhancing the *** unique reaction mechanism is unprecedented in other aqueous battery studies.
