A new review of single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes in the light of ion transport mechanisms

With the depletion of fossil fuels and the demand for high-performance energy storage devices,solidstate lithium metal batteries have received widespread attention due to their high energy density and safety *** them,the earliest developed organic solid-state polymer electrolyte has a promising future due to its advantages such as good mechanical flexibility,but its poor ion transport performance dramatically limits its performance ***,single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes(SICPEs)with high lithium-ion transport number,capable of improving the concentration polarization and inhibiting the growth of lithium dendrites,have been proposed,which provide a new direction for the further development of high-performance organic polymer *** view of this,lithium ions transport mechanisms and design principles in SICPEs are summarized and discussed in this *** modification principles currently used can be categorized into the following three types:enhancement of lithium salt anion-polymer interactions,weakening of lithium salt anion-cation interactions,and modulation of lithium ion-polymer *** addition,the advances in single-ion conductors of conventional and novel polymer electrolytes are summarized,and several typical highperformance single-ion conductors are enumerated and analyzed in what way they improve ionic conductivity,lithium ions mobility,and the ability to inhibit lithium ***,the advantages and design methodology of SICPEs are summarized again and the future directions are outlined.

Renewable biosynthesis of isoprene from wastewater through a synthetic biology approach:the role of individual organic compounds

The biosynthesis of isoprene offers a more sustainable alternative to fossil fuel-based approaches,yet its success has been largely limited to pure organic compounds and the cost remains a *** study proposes a waste-to-wealth strategy for isoprene biosynthesis utilizing genetically engineered *** bacteria to convert organic waste from real food *** impact of organic compounds present in wastewater on *** growth and isoprene production was systematically *** results demonstrated that with filtration pretreatment of wastewater,isoprene yield,and production achieved 115 mg/g COD and 7.1 mg/(L·h),***,even without pretreatment,isoprene yield only decreased by~24%,indicating promising ***,maltose,glycerol,and lactate are effective substrates for isoprene biosynthesis,whereas starch,protein,and acetate do not support *** *** optimum C/N ratio for isoprene production was found to be 8:***,augmenting essential nutrients in wastewater elevated the isoprene yield increased to 159 mg/g *** wastewater biosynthesis significantly reduced the cost(44%–53%decrease,p-valuelue<0.01)compared with both sugar fermentation and fossil fuel–based *** study introduced a more sustainable and economically viable approach to isoprene synthesis,offering an avenue for resource recovery from wastewater.

Spatiotemporal pattern of climate change in the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor from 1901 to 2018

The China-Myanmar Economic Corridor(CMEC) is an important part of China's Belt and Road Initiative and an important area for global ecology and biodiversity. In this study, the annual and seasonal spatiotemporal patterns of temperature and precipitation in the CMEC over the past century were investigated using linear tendency estimation, the Mann-Kendall mutation test, the T-test, and wavelet analysis based on the monthly mean climatic data from 1901 to 2018 released by the Climatic Research Unit(CRU) of the University of East Anglia, UK. The results show that the CMEC demonstrated a trend of warming and drying over the past 100 years, and the rate of change in Myanmar was stronger than that in Yunnan Province of China. The warming rate was 0.039 ℃/10a. Precipitation decreased at a rate of -6.1 mm/10a. From the perspective of spatial distribution, temperature was high in the central and southern, low in the north of the CMEC, and the high-temperature centers were mainly distributed in the southern plain and river valley. Precipitation decreased from west to east and from south to north of the CMEC. From the perspective of the rate of change, warming was stronger in central and northern CMEC than in southern and northeastern CMEC. The rate of precipitation decline was stronger in the central and western regions than in the eastern region. This study provides a scientific reference for the CMEC to address climate change and ensure sustainable social and economic development and ecological security.

Microstructure evolution and strengthening mechanism of high -performance powder metallurgy TA15 titanium alloy by hot rolling

Hot deformation of sintered billets by powder metallurgy(PM)is an effective preparation technique for titanium alloys,which is more significant for high-alloying *** this study,Ti–6.5Al–2Zr–Mo–V(TA15)titanium alloy plates were prepared by cold press-ing sintering combined with high-temperature hot *** microstructure and mechanical properties under different process paramet-ers were *** microscope,electron backscatter diffraction,and others were applied to characterize the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties strengthening *** results showed that the chemical compositions were uniformly dif-fused without segregation during sintering,and the closing of the matrix craters was accelerated by increasing the sintering *** block was hot rolled at 1200℃ with an 80%reduction under only two passes without *** strength and elongation of the plate at 20–25℃ after solution and aging were 1247 MPa and 14.0%,respectively,which were increased by 24.5%and 40.0%,respect-ively,compared with the as-sintered alloy at 1300℃.The microstructure was significantly refined by continuous dynamic recrystalliza-tion,which was completed by the rotation and dislocation absorption of the substructure surrounded by low-angle grain *** hot rolling combined with heat treatment,the strength and plasticity of PM-TA15 were significantly improved,which resulted from the dense,uniform,and fine recrystallization structure and the synergistic effect of multiple slip systems.

The Variation of Plankton Community Structure in Artificial Reef Area and Adjacent Waters in Haizhou Bay

Plankton are an important component of marine protected areas(MPAs),and its communities would require much smaller interpatch distances to ensure connection among *** to the survey from MPAs dominated by artificial reefs and adjacent waters(estuary area(EA),aquaculture area(AA),artificial reef area(ARA),natural area(NA)and comprehensive effect area(CEA))in Haizhou Bay in spring and autumn,we analyzed phyto-zooplankton composition,abundance and biomass,and correlation with hydrologic variables to gain information about the forces that structure the *** results showed that the dominant zooplankton were copepods(spring,98.9%;autumn,94.2%),while the phytoplankton were mainly composed of Bacillariophyta(spring,61.8%;autumn,95.6%).The RDA results showed that temperature,salinity and depth highly associated with the distribution and composition of plankton species among the habitats than other factors in spring;temperature,Chla and DO had the strongest influence in *** zooplankton in the ARA and AA ecosystems basically contained the same species as those in other habitats,and each habitat also exhibited a relatively unique combination of plankton *** structures of the EA zooplankton in spring and the EA phytoplankton in both seasons were much different than other habitats,which may have been caused by factors such as currents and *** concluded that there exists similarity of the plankton community between artificial reef area and adjacent waters,whereas the EAs may be relatively independent ***,these interaction between plankton community should be considered when designing MPA networks,and ocean circulations should be considered more than the environmental factors.

Numerical analysis on the factors affecting post-peak characteristics of coal under uniaxial compression

The post-peak characteristics of coal serve as a direct reflection of its failure process and are essential parameters for evaluating brittleness and bursting *** the significant factors that influence post-peak characteristics can offer valuable insights for the prevention of coal *** this study,the Synthetic Rock Mass method is employed to establish a numerical model,and the factors affecting coal post-peak characteristics are analyzed from four perspectives:coal matrix mechanical parameters,structural weak surface properties,height-to-width ratio,and loading *** research identifies four significant influencing factors:deformation modulus,density of discrete fracture networks,height-to-width ratio,and loading *** response and sensitivity of post-peak characteristics to single-factor and multi-factor interactions are *** result suggested that feasible prevention and control measures for coal bursts can be formulated through four approaches:weakening the mechanical properties of coal pillars,increasing the number of structural weak surfaces in coal pillars,reducing the width of coal pillars,and optimizing mining and excavation *** efficacy of measures aimed at weakening the mechanical properties of coal is successfully demonstrated through a case study on coal burst prevention using large-diameter borehole drilling.

Wind disturbance compensated path-following control for fixed-wing UAVs in arbitrarily strong winds

Wind is the primary challenge for low-speed fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles to follow a predefined flight *** cope with various wind conditions,this paper proposes a wind disturbance compensated path following control strategy where the wind disturbance estimate is incorporated with the nominal guiding vector field to provide the desired airspeed direction for the *** the control input vector for the outer-loop kinematic subsystem needs to satisfy a magnitude constraint,a scaling mechanism is introduced to tune the proportions of the compensation and nominal ***,an optimization problem is formulated to pursue a maximum wind compensation in strong winds,which can be solved analytically to yield two scaling factors.A cascaded inner-loop tracking controller is also designed to fulfill the outer-loop wind disturbance compensated guiding vector ***-fidelity simulation results under sensor noises and realistic winds demonstrate that the proposed path following algorithm is less sensitive to sensor noises,achieves promising accuracy in normal winds,and mitigates the deviation from a desired path in wild winds.

Dynamic response of sandwich panel attached with a double mass-spring-damping system to shallow-buried explosion:Analytical modeling

How to ensure the safety of occupants has become a challenge for protective design of armored vehicles against intensive blast *** this study,for armored vehicles subjected to shallow-buried explosions,an analytical model was established to characterize the dynamic performance of an all-metallic sandwich floorboard attached with a double mass-spring-damping system(mimicking seat and occupant),with the former consisting of a front face,a core and a rear *** validation,numerical simulations with the method of finite elements(FE)were *** agreement between analytical predictions and numerical results was *** analytical model was then employed to quantify the effects of explosive mass,yield stress of material make,configurational parameters of sandwich panel,spring stiffness,and damping coefficient on dynamic response of the sandwich panel and double mass-spring-damping *** increasing explosive mass and decreasing yield stress of material make,the peak displacements of rear face,seat and occupant were all found to *** core relative density was increased,these peak displacements also increased when the ratio of face thickness to core height was relatively *** the ratio of face thickness to core height led to increased peak accelerations of seat and *** peak displacement of rear face was insensitive to the increase of either spring stiffness or damping coefficient,while the peak acceleration of occupant increased with increasing spring *** increasing the damping coefficient between the rear face and seat or that between the seat and occupant or both,the peak acceleration of occupant *** occupant safety duly considered,the proposed analytical model provides useful guidance for designing high-performance protective structures for armored vehicles subjected to intensive blast loadings.

Ultra-flexible all-in-one anti-freeze photothermally enhanced supercapacitors

Wearable electronics powered by flexible energy storage devices have captured global *** low-temperature conditions,unfortunately,solidification of flexible hydrogel electrolyte and decreased pseudo-capacity of these devices largely hamper their practical *** this study,photothermally-active Prussian blue(PB)was introduced onto poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/polyacrylamide(PEDOT/PAM)networks to address the challenges of electrolyte solidification and degraded pseudo-capacitance for flexible all-in-one device at low *** as-constructed PB/PEDOT/PAM hydrogel device delivers stable electrochemical performance and remarkable mechanical property with 1652%***,this hydrogel device well retains its flexibility in cold environment with a freezing point below−30℃.The incorporation of PB extends the voltage range to 1.5 V as a single device,thus significantly enhancing the electrochemical performance as an all-inone integrated *** from the outstanding photo-to-thermal conversion ability of embedded PB nanocubes,the temperature of the assembled all-in-one PB/PEDOT/PAM device increased from^(−2)0 to 17.7℃ after solar-light irradiation for only 5 ***,the degraded pseudo-capacitance was subsequently boosted to 287.1%of its original capacitance at−20℃.This study establishes a connection between flexible all-solid-state hydrogel devices and photothermally enhanced pseudocapacitors in freezing environments,thereby expanding the potential applications of multi-functional pseudo-capacitors.
