Functional materials with multiple properties are urgent to be explored to reach high req.irements for applications *** this work,a new multifunctional one-dimensional(1D)chain compound[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)][Cu(ohpma)]·H_(2)O 1(ohpma=deprotonated N-(2-hydoxyphenyl)oxamic acid)exhibiting both 1D antiferromagnetic and nonlinear optical properties,which are both originated from the same polar[Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic units,has been successfully synthesized by evaporation at room ***-polydentate nature of the(ohpma)3−ligand with constrained tridentate and bidentate coordination sites conducts Cu^(2+)ions coordinating in different geometries and forms 1D chains along the c axis,which are further separated by the[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)]+*** the 1D magnetic chains further exhibit noncentrosymmetric polar *** optical study shows polar compound 1 exhibits a discernible second-harmonic generation(SHG)efficiency and the calculation of the partial density of states indicates that the SHG efficiency of 1 is mainly originated from the polar[Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic ***,magnetic susceptibility shows a broad maximum around 70 K with strong intrachain interaction of j.k B=−113.0 K but no long-range order is observed down to 2 K,suggesting that 1 shows a good 1D *** good 1D magnetism and SHG activity suggest that 1 could be as a potential multifunctional material,particularly.

Obj.ctive To explore the rapid antidepressant potential and the underlying mechanism of Chaihu Shugan San(CSS)in female *** Liq.id chromatography mass spectrometry(LC-MS)/MS was used to determine the content of main components in CSS to determine its *** C57BL/6j.mice were randomly divided into 4 groups,including control(saline),vehicle(saline),CSS(4 g/kg)and ketamine(30 mg/kg)*** were subj.cted to irregular stress stimulation for 4 weeks to establish the chronic mild stress(CMS)model,then received a single administration of *** hours later,the behavioral tests were performed,including open field test,tail suspension test(TST),forced swimming test(FST),novelty suppression feeding test(NSF),and sucrose preference test(SPT).Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression levels of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor(NMDA)subtypes[N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 1(NR1),NR2A,NR2B],synaptic proteins[synapsin1 and post synaptic density protein 95(PSD95)],and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF).Moreover,the rapid antidepressant effect of CSS was tested by pharmacological technologies and optogenetic interventions that activated glutamate receptors,*** Compared with the vehicle group,a single administration of CSS(4 g/kg)reversed all behavioral defects in TST,FST,SPT and NSF caused by CMS(Plusion Rapid antidepressant effects of CSS by improving behavioral deficits in female CMS mice depended on rapid suppression of NMDA receptors and activation of synaptic proteins.

Geneupregulation through genome editing is important for plant research and *** insertion of short transcriptional enhancers(STEs)into gene promoters may offer a universal solution akin to transgene-mediated overexpression while avoiding the drawbacks associated with ***,we introduce an“in locus activation”techniq.e in rice that leverages well-characterized STEs for refined,heritable,and multiplexed gene *** address the scarcity of potent enhancers,we developed a large-scale mining approach and discovered a suite of STEs that are capable of enhancing gene expression in rice *** in locus integration of these STEs into eight rice genes resulted in substantial tran-scriptional upregulation in the edited plants,with up to 869.1-fold increases in their transcript ***-ploying a variety of STEs,we achieved delicate control of gene expression,enabling the fine-tuning of key phenotypic traits such as plant *** approach also enabled efficient multiplexed gene upregu-lation,with up to four genes activated simultaneously,significantly enhancing the nicotinamide mononucleotide metabolic ***,heritability studies from the To to T3 generations confirmed the stable and heritable nature of STE-driven gene ***,our work demon-strates that coupled with STE mining,leveraging genome editing for in locus activation and gene upregu-lation holds great promise to be widely adopted in fundamental plant research and crop breeding.

Gut microbiota-mediated modulation of lipid metabolism by punicic acid in diet-induced hepatic steatosis

Pomegranate seed oil (PSO) mainly consisted of punicic acid (PunA)， has gained attention due to rich conj.gated linolenic acids and potential application in the improvement of various diseases. The aim of this study was to explore the ability of PunA to modulate lipid metabolism associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and explore the emerging role of the gut microbiota in modulating hepatic lipid metabolism. In this regard， PunA’s capacity was evaluated through C57BL/6j.fed with a choline and L-amino acid defined， high fat diet (CDAHFD). Mice were randomly divided into four groups: NC group， MC group， PSO group and Cur group. Collected results indicated that supplement of PunA improved hepatic lipid profile. PunA administration also ameliorated hepatic steatosis and lipid accumulation. mRNA analysis showed that PunA exerted ameliorative e?ect on hepatic lipid accumulation by downregulating the mRNA expression of Dgat1， Scd-1， Srebp-1c， but increasing expression level of Cpt-1α. Metagenomic analysis discovered that PunA increased species diversity and richness of intestinal microbiota， promoted proliferation of beneficial commensals and restraining the endotoxin-producing microorganisms in cecum of CDAHFD-administrated mice. Furthermore， PunA suppressed lipid accumulation and lipid droplet formation in a cell NAFLD model in vitro. Overall， PunA exhibited anti-lipogenic and lipid-lowering effects， improvement of intestinal flora. In summary， PunA could be a candidate for the exploitation of functional foods or nutraceuticals aiming NAFLD.

Permeability characteristics of sputtered soft magnetic Fe40Co40B20 thin films are investigated in the range of O. 5 to 5 GHz by a shortened microstrip transmission line perturbation method. Excellent microwave permeability is achieved at 0.4 Pa argon pressure： fr is 3.32 GHz, the real and imaginary part of permeability at 0.5 GHz are 104 and 61, respectively. In addition, the thickness effect on permeability is also studied. The minimum damping can be achieved at the thinnest film. Different sources contributed to in-plane anisotropy are discussed briefly. The deviation between the peak freq.ency of the imaginary part and the zero-crossing freq.ency of the real part of permeability is also presented.

Innovative Mn3-xO4-y@NCA design:Leveraging Mn/O vacancies and amorphous architecture for enhanced sodium-ion storage

Manganese-based oxide electrode materials suffer from severe j.hn-Teller（j.T） distortion,leading to severe cycle instability in sodium ion ***,it is difficult to adj.st the electron at d orbitals exactly to a low spin state to eliminate orbital degeneracy and suppress j.T distortion *** article constructed concentration-controllable Mn/O coupled vacancy and amorphous network in Mn3O4and coated it with nitrogen-doped carbon aerogel(Mn3-xO4-y@NCA).The existence of Mn/O vacancies has been confirmed by scanning transmission electron microscopy（STEM） and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy（PALS）.Atomic absorption spectroscopy（AAS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） determine the most optimal ratio of Mn/O vacancies for sodium ion storage is 1:*** functional theory（DFT） calculations prove that Mn/O coupled vacancies with the ratio of 1:2could exactly induce a low spin states and a d4electron configuration of Mn,suppressing the j.T distortion *** abundant amorphous regions can shorten the transport distance of sodium ions,increase the electrochemically active sites and improve the pseudocapacitance *** the synergetic effect of Mn/O coupled vacancies and amorphous regions,Mn3-xO4-y@NCA exhibits an energy density of 37.5 W h kg-1and an ultra-high power density of 563 W kg-1in an asymmetric *** sodium-ion batteries,it demonstrates high reversible capacity and exceptional cycling *** research presents a new method to improve the Na+storage performance in manganese-based oxide,which is expected to be generalized to other structural distortion.

As a precise and versatile tool for genome manipulation,the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)platform holds promise for modifying fish traits of *** the aim of reducing transgene introgression and controlling reproduction,upscaled disease resistance and reproductive intervention in catfish species have been studied to lower the potential environmental risks of the introgression of escapees as transgenic *** advantage of the CRISPR/Cas9-mediated system,we succeeded in integrating the cathelicidin gene(As-Cath)from an alligator(Alligator sinensis)into the target luteinizing hormone(lh)locus of channel catfish(Ictalurus punctatus)using two delivery systems assisted by double-stranded DNA(dsDNA)and single-stranded oligodeoxynucleotides(ssODNs),*** this study,high knock in(KI)efficiency(22.38%,64/286)but low ontarget events was achieved using the ssODN strategy,whereas adopting a dsDNA as the donor template led to an efficient on-target KI(10.80%,23/213).The on-target KI of As-Cath was instrumental in establishing the lh knockout(LH^(–)_As-Cath^(+))catfish line,which displayed heightened disease resistance and reduced fecundity compared with the wild-type(WT)sibling ***,administration of human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG)and luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone analogue(LHRHa)can restore the reproduction of the transgenic fish ***,we replaced the lh gene with an alligator cathelicidin transgene and then administered hormone therapy to move towards complete reproductive control of diseaseresistant transgenic catfish in an environmentally responsible *** strategy not only effectively improves consumer-valued traits but also guards against unwanted introgression,providing a breakthrough in aq.aculture genetics to confine fish reproduction and prevent the establishment of transgenic or domestic genotypes in the natural environment.

Association between Serum Ferritin Levels and Metabolic-associated Fatty Liver Disease in Adults:a Cross-sectional Study Based on the NHANES
