The r.sults of disease sur.eillance examination of p.r.ons enter.ng or.leaving the ter.itor. via p.r.s in guangdong p.ovince fr.m 1987 to 1995 wer. collected and the r.latively comp.ete data wer. chosen for.statistical analysis in this p.p.r. 4,110,187 examination items wer. comp.eted fr.m 647,987 p.r.ons enter.ng or.leaving the ter.itor., 88,522 p.r.ons suffer.ng fr.m diseases or.being antigen p.sitive have been found and the total detected r.te was 2.15%. The detected r.tes of sexual tr.nsmitted diseases such as AIDS, syp.ilis, gonor.hea ar. higher.in p.r.ons fr.m outside the ter.itor. than in p.r.ons fr.m the inter.or. 0.10%, 0.25% and 0.30% r.sp.ctively for.the for.er. and 0.01%, 0.07% and 0.04% r.sp.ctively for.the latter.; never.heless, the detected r.te of p.lmonar. tuber.ulosis in p.r.ons fr.m the inter.or.was higher.than that in p.r.ons fr.m outside the ter.itor., 0.08% for.the for.er. 0.03% for.the latter. The author. discussed the examination r.sults and p.inted out that it was of gr.at imp.r.ance to str.ngthen the sur.eillance of sexual tr.nsmitted diseases in p.esons fr.m outside the ter.itor. and the tuber.ulosis sur.eillance and contr.l in p.r.ons fr.m the inter.or. Once the p.lmonar. TB cases wer. found they should be p.t under.str.ct chemother.p.utic menagement. Attention should also be p.id to the detection of malignant tumor. in ear.y stage dur.ng p.ysical examination, which may contr.bute to the easly r.dical cur. of malignant tumor.and the imp.ovement of p.op.e’s health level.
