We investigate th. th.rmodynamics properties of mesoscopic quantum nanowire devices, such.as th. effect of electron-ph.non relaxation time, Peltier coefficient, carrier concentration, frequency of th.s field, and ch.nnel width. Th. influence of time-varying fields on th. transport th.ough.such.device h.s been taken into consideration. Th.s device is modelled as nanowires connecting to two reservoirs. Th. two-dimensional electron gas in a GaAs- AlGaAs h.terojunction h.s a Fermi wave length.wh.ch.is a h.ndred times larger th.n th.t in a metal. Th. results sh.w th. oscillatory beh.viour of dependence of th. th.rmo power on frequency of th. induced field. Th.se results agree with.th. existing experiments and may be important for electronic nanodevices.

Th.rmal sh.t noise, th.rmal voltage and th.rmo power are studied th.ough.a carbon nanotube quantum dot coupled to two leads with.random rough.ess of amplitude on each.of th. two boundaries, under th. effect of microwave field, and magnetic field. Th. expressions for th. th.rmal sh.t noise and th.rmal energy are deduced wh.n th. barrier strength.and contact area are taken into consideration. A model for such.mesoscopic devices is proposed as a carbon nanotube quantum dot coupled to two leads with.random rough.ess of amplitude on each.of th. two boundaries. Th. results sh.w oscillatory beh.viors of th. dependence of th. th.rmal sh.t noise on th. studied parameters. Th. th.rmopower oscillates with.th. variation of th. contact area, and th. peak h.igh.s decrease linearly with.th. contact area and increases with.temperature. Th.s trend of beh.vior is due to th. interplay of th. induced microwave ph.tons and th. tunneling rate th.ough.th. side bands. Th.s research.is important for using a model as a h.gh.frequency sh.t noise detector and th. th.rmopower is sensitive to th. energy dependence of th. conductance.

Th. growing aging population along with.th. sh.fting dietary paradigm to Western-type diet worldwide h.s been implicated in th. increasing prevalence of cognitive impairment. Emerging evidence suggests th.t a h.gh.fiber diet may h.lp improve cognitive function th.ough.th. gut-brain axis. Euglena gracilis， a unicellular microalga rich.in β-1，3-glucans， h.s gained attention due to its modulatory effect on gut dysbiosis and inflammatory response. Th.s study aimed to explore th. efficacy and mech.nism of β-1，3-glucans-rich.Euglena gracilis powder (EG) against h.gh.fat-h.gh.fructose (h.h.) diet-induced cognitive disorders in mice. A middle-aged (52-week-old C57BL/6J) mouse model with.th. following groups was adopted: h.h.， h.h.+EG， and control. At th. end of th. dietary intervention (8 weeks)， cognitive beh.viors， metabolic parameters， endotoxin levels， gut microbiota composition， and colon and brain path.logy were examined. Th. results sh.wed th.t EG supplementation attenuated h.h.-induced cognitive impairment， promoted synaptogenesis in th. h.ppocampus， and improved synaptic ultrastructure. Th.se beneficial effects were partly mediated th.ough.th. upregulation of PTP1B-IRS-pAKT-pGSK3β-pTau signaling. Furth.rmore， it prevented gut dysbiosis as evidenced by an increase in β-diversity and enrich.ent of Akkermansia relative to control. EG supplementation was also able to partly reverse th. h.h.-induced disruption of intestinal barrier， wh.ch.was accompanied by reduced systemic and neuronal inflammation， normalized sh.rt-ch.in fatty acid production， and decreased serum lipopolysacch.ride concentration. Th. findings from th. present study support th.t β-1，3-glucans-rich.EG is a promising natural agent for th. prevention of h.h. diet-induced deterioration in cognitive function th.t merits furth.r investigation.

Th. transport property of a quantum dot under th. influence of external time-dependent field is investigated. Th. mesoscopic device is modelled as semiconductor quantum dot coupled weakly to superconducting leads via asymmetric double tunnel barriers of different h.igh.s. An expression for th. current is deduced by using th. Landauer-Buttiker formula, taking into consideration of both.th. Coulomb blockade effect and th. magnetic field. It is found th.t th. periodic oscillation of th. current with.th. magnetic field is controlled by th. ratio of th. frequency of th. applied ac-field to th. electron cyclotron frequency. Our results sh.w th.t th. present device operates as a radio-frequency single electron transistor.

Galacturonosyltransferase 1 （GAUT1） is an α1,4-D-galacturonosyltransferase th.t transfers galacturonic acid from uridine 5＇-diph.sph.galacturonic acid onto th. pectic polysacch.ride h.mogalacturonan （Sterling et al., 2006）. Th. 25-member Arabidopsis th.liana GAUT1-related gene family encodes 15 GAUT and 10 GAUT-like （GATL） proteins with. respectively, 56-84 and 42-53% amino acid sequence similarity to GAUT1. Previous ph.logenetic analyses of AtGAUTs indicated th.ee clades： A th.ough.C. A comparative ph.logenetic analysis of th. Arabidopsis, poplar and rice GAUT families h.s sub-classified th. GAUTs into seven clades： clade A-1 （GAUTs 1 to 3）; A-2 （GAUT4）; A-3 （GAUTs 5 and 6）; A-4 （GAUT7）; B-1 （GAUTs 8 and 9）; B-2 （GAUTs 10 and 11）; and clade C （GAUTs 12 to 15）. Th. Arabidopsis GAUTs h.ve a distribution comparable to th. poplar orth.logs, with.th. exception of GAUT2, wh.ch.is absent in poplar. Rice, h.wever, h.s no orth.logs of GAUTs 2 and 12 and h.s multiple apparent orth.logs of GAUTs 1, 4, and 7 compared with.eith.rArabidopsis or poplar. Th. cell wall glycosyl residue compositions of 26 h.mozygous T-DNA insertion mutants for 13 of 15 Arabidopsis GAUTgenes reveal significantly and reproducibly different cell walls in specific tissues of gaut mutants 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 from th.t of wild-type Arabidopsis walls. Pectin and xylan polysacch.rides are affected by th. loss of GAUT function, as demonstrated by th. altered galacturonic acid, xylose, rh.mnose, galactose, and arabinose composition of distinct gaut mutant walls. Th. wall glycosyl residue compositional ph.notypes observed among th. gaut mutants suggest th.t at least six different biosynth.tic linkages in pectins and/or xylans are affected by th. lesions in th.se GAUTgenes. Evidence is also presented to support a role for GAUT11 in seed mucilage expansion and in seed wall and mucilage composition.

Background:Oral anti-coagulants(OAC)are th. intervention for th. prevention of stroke,wh.ch.consistently improve clinical outcomes and survival among patients with.atrial fibrillation(AF).Th. main purpose of th.s study is to identify problems in OAC utilization among h.spitalized patients with.AF in ***:Using data from th. Improving Care for Cardiovascular Disease in Ch.na-Atrial Fibrillation(CCC-AF)registry,guideline-recommended OAC use in eligible patients was ***:A total of 52,530 patients with.non-valvular AF were enrolled from February 2015 to December 2019,of wh.m 38,203 were at a h.gh.risk of stroke,9717 were at a moderate risk,and 4610 were at a low *** admission,only 20.0%(6075/30,420)of patients with.a diagnosed AF and a h.gh.risk of stroke were taking *** use of pre-h.spital OAC on admission was associated with.a lower risk of new-onset isch.mic stroke/transient isch.mic attack among th. diagnosed AF population(adjusted odds ratio:0.54,95%confidence interval:0.43-0.68;Ph.rge,th. prescription rate of OAC was 45.2%(16,757/37,087)in eligible patients with.h.gh.stroke risk and 60.7%(2778/4578)in eligible patients with.low stroke *** utilization in patients with.h.gh.stroke risk on admission or at disch.rge both.increased largely over time(all Ph.wed th.t OAC utilization at disch.rge was positively associated with.in-h.spital rh.th. control strategies,including cath.ter ablation(adjusted odds ratio[OR]11.63,95%confidence interval[CI]10.04-13.47;Ph.th.ic drug use(adjusted OR 1.45,95%CI 1.38-1.53;Ph.spitals participated in th.
