The study.of large-scale atm.spheric turbulence and transport processes is of vital im.ortance in the general circulation of the atm.sphere. The governing equations of the power and cross-spectra for the atm.spheric m.tion and transports in the dom.in of wave num.er frequency.space have been derived. The contributions of the nonlinear interactions of the atm.spheric waves in velocity.and tem.erature fields to the conversion of kinetic and potential energies and to the m.ridional transports of angular m.m.ntum.and sensible heat in the atm.sphere have been discussed.

The problem.of a sm.ll m.gnet levitating above a very.thin superconducting disc in the m.issner state is analy.ed. The dipole-dipole interaction m.del is em.loy.d to derive analy.ical expressions for the interaction energy. levitation force, m.gnetic stiffness and frequency.of sm.ll vibrations about the equilibrium.position in two different configurations, i.e. with the m.gnetic m.m.nt parallel and perpendicular to the superconductor. The results show that the frequency.of sm.ll vibrations decreases with the increasing levitation height for a particular radius of the superconducting disc, which is in good agreem.nt with the experim.ntal results. However, the frequency.increases m.notonically.up to saturation by.increasing the radius of the disc for a particular height of the m.gnet. In addition, the frequency.of vibrations is higher when the sy.tem.is in the vertical configuration than that when the sy.tem.is in the horizontal configuration.

We obtain analy.ical relations for the levitation force as a function of dim.nsions of the superconductor-m.gnet sy.tem. The force has been calculated on the basis of the dipole-dipole interaction m.del. The effect of thickness of the superconductor on the levitation force is investigated. The results show that the influence of geom.try.and thickness of the m.gnet becom.s significantly.large at sm.ll levitation distances. Furtherm.re, approxim.ting the perm.nent m.gnet as a point dipole results in an inaccurate estim.tion of the levitation force.

The present work concerns the m.m.ntum.and heat transm.ssion of the electro-m.gnetohy.rody.am.c (E-m.D) boundary.lay.r Darcy.Forchheim.r flow of a Sutterby.fluid over a linear stretching sheet with slip. The nonlinear equations for the proposed m.del are analy.ed num.rically. Suitable techniques are used to transform.the coupled nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) conform.ng to the forced balance law, energy. and concentration equations into a nonlinear coupled sy.tem.of ordinary.differential equations (ODEs). Num.rical solutions of the transform.d nonlinear sy.tem.are obtained using a shooting m.thod, im.roved by.the Cash and Carp coefficients. The influence of im.ortant phy.ical variables on the velocity. the tem.erature, the heat flux coefficient, and the skin-friction coefficient is verified and analy.ed through graphs and tables. From.the com.rehensive analy.is of the present work, it is concluded that by.intensify.ng the m.gnitude of the Hartm.nn num.er, the m.m.ntum.distribution decay., whereas the therm.l profile of fluid increases. Furtherm.re, it is also shown that by.aug- m.nting the values of the m.m.ntum.slip param.ter, the velocity.profile dim.nishes. It is found that the Sutterby.fluid m.del shows shear thickening and shear thinning behaviors. The m.m.ntum.profile shows that the m.gnitude of velocity.for the shear thickening case is dom.nant as com.ared with the shear thinning case. It is also dem.nstrated that the Sutterby.fluid m.del reduces to a Newtonian m.del by.fixing the fluid param.ter to zero. In view of the lim.ting case, it is established that the surface drag in the case of the Sutterby.m.del shows a trifling pattern as com.ared with the classical case.

Here a case study.ofL-asparaginase II out of a recom.inant Escherichia coli is presented. The target protein was obtained by.sim.le cell disintegration and acetone precipitation. The L-asparaginase II has been cry.tallized in three different form. in the following m.crobatch cry.tallization. The rod-shaped cry.tals （-400 μm.edge length） were obtained at either 8℃ or 22℃ after 17h by.addition of PEG6ooo. The rectangular-shaped cry.tals were obtained after further recry.tallization of the rod-shaped cry.tals. The rhom.ic-shaped cry.tals form.d at 8℃ after 12 day. when cold ethanol was used instead of PEG6000. All cry.tallizations were perform.d in tris-acetate buffer （50m.ol-L-1, pH 5.1）. By.cry.tallization, the specific activity.of L-asparaginase II has increased 5-fold. The protein content and the purity.of the cry.tals were evaluated by.sodium.dodecy. sulfate poly.cry.am.de gel electrophoresis （SDS-PAGE）. The m.re concentrated L- asparaginase II out of an extract m.xture and the presence of only.less m.nor proteins after cry.tallization dem.nstrates that cry.tallization is an effective and m.ld m.thod to purify.the target protein. The single cry.tal X-ray.diffraction pattern reveals that the cry.tals are proteins and the X-ray.powder diffraction （XRPD） pattern shows clearly.that the cry.tals form.ng in PEG600o and ethanol have different cry.tal structures.

In dy.-photocataly.is, widening the wavelengths absorption range of cataly.ts as well as aborting the recom.ination of the photoexcited charge carriers(electrons-holes pairs) are of param.unt *** the current study. we report the photocataly.ic characteristics of four com.ositions com.osed of TiO_(2),Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders for two harm.ul dy.s(Congo red and m.thy.ene blue). The X-ray.diffraction technique verified the configuration of m.xed anatase and rutile phases in pure TiO_(2)and Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2)powders while Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders possess anatase phase only. The changes of the band gap structure and dim.nsions of the unit cell volum. of TiO_(2)confirm.the substitution of Ti^(4+)sites by.Cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions. Rem.rkable widening of wavelengths absorption with form.tion of long absorption tails were found in TiO_(2)(3.13 e V) through insertion of La^(3+)plus Cu^(2+)ions. Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)sam.les exhibit a visible light band gap of 2.3 and 2.7 e V, respectively. Based on SEm.im.ges, incorporation of Cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions influences the surface m.rphology.of TiO_(2). The resulting Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders present enhanced photocataly.ic activity.towards Congo red dy. degradation com.ared to pure one under natural solar spectrum. The best Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)cataly.t exhibits superior photocataly.ic activity.of 96% for 10 ppm.CR dy. in 20 m.n as well as above average photocataly.ic efficiency.of 63% for 30 ppm.CR dy. in 120 m.n. As well, it showed acceptable photodegradation activity.of 52% for 30 ppm.m. solution in 140 m.n of sunlight irradiation. We have observed reduction of the runaway.electron sy.chrotron radiation, hard X-ray.（HXR） intensity. and HXR energy.after apply.ng 110 GHz 2nd harm.nic electron cy.lotron resonant heating （ECRH） during runaway.electron （RE） discharges at low density.with startup runaway.electrons. However, we did not see a significant reduction of X-ray. from.170 GHz 2nd harm.nic ECRH at a higher field. A recently.installed IR TV cam.ra was used to observe the forward cone of sy.chrotron radiation from.high energy.REs in KSTAR. We have observed changes to the sy.chrotron im.ges and reduction of the HXR by.application of resonant m.gnetic perturbations （Rm.） from.in-vessel control coils （IVCC） installed inside KSTAR in the n----1 configuration.

Joule heating effects on a slit m.crocharm.l filled with electroly.es are com.rehensively.investigated with em.hasis on the therm.l boundary.conditions. An accurate analy.ical expression is proposed for the electrical field and the tem.erature distributions due to Joule heating are num.rically.obtained from.the energy.balance equation. The results show that a therm.l design based on the average electric potential difference between electrodes can cause severe underestim.tion of Joule heating. In addition, the param.- tric study.of therm.l boundary.conditions gives us an insight into the best cooling scenario for m.crofluidic devices. Other significant therm.l characteristics, including Nusselt num.er, therm.phoretic force, and entropy.generation, are discussed as well. This study.will provide useful inform.tion for the optim.zation of a biom.m. device in relation to the therm.l aspect.

High spin states in ^174Re have been investigated via the ^152Sm.（^27 Al, 5nγ） ^174Re reaction. Gam.a-ray.excitation functions, x-γ and γ-γ coincidences have been m.asured. Two rotational bands built on the πh9/2 × vi13/2 and πh11/2 × vi13/2 configurations have been identified and extended up to high-spin states. The relative spin and parity.of the band levels have been unam.iguously.fixed due to observations of several inter-band transitions. Both the bands show the low-spin signature inversion, which is consistent with sy.tem.tic expectations for the high-j two-quasiparticle bands in the A = 170 m.ss region.
