This experimental stud. is a contribution to the search for solutions to red.ce ind.or heat gain through sheet metal roofing in hot weather. It has evaluated.the thermal impact of two d.fferent sheet metal roofs insid. of two id.ntical test build.ngs in sunny weather and.cloud. weather cond.tions. Test build.ng 1 has a single sheet corrugated.roof and.the build.ng 2 is covered.with roof mad. from top to bottom with corrugated.sheet metal, a 12 mm thick serpentine copper tube in which water is circulated. a sheet of aluminium foil acting as a heat reflector, a 4 cm thick polystyrene panel and.a 1.5 cm thick plywood. A maximum red.ction of 15.1˚C in the temperature of the inner face of the test Build.ng 2 roof was obtained.comparatively to the temperature of the inner face of the test Build.ng 1 roof consisting of a single sheet of metal at the warmest hours. In ad.ition, the simple corrugated.sheet metal roof of the test build.ng generates high and.varied.temperatures insid. the build.ng. Whereas the proposed.heat recovery roof favours low and.relatively uniform temperatures insid. the build.ng. The proposed.sheet metal roof construction technique is very effective in red.cing the heat gain through the roof consid.rably;thus improving the thermal comfort insid. sheet metal roofed.d.ellings. Hot water has been prod.ced.by recovering heat from the metal sheet of the roof of test build.ng 2. The temperature of the hot water prod.ced.reached.of 39˚C. This stud. could.be also an alternative for the red.ction of energy consumption d.e to the use of mechanical means for cooling of sheet metal roofed.houses and.the red.ction of the use of fossil fuels for d.mestic hot water prod.ction.

Introd.ction: Near-infrared.fluorescence imaging is a technique that will establish itself in the short term at the international level because it is recognized.for its potential to improve the performance of surgical interventions, its mod.rate investment and.operating costs and.its portability. Although the technology is now mature, there is currently the problem of the availability of contrast agents to be injected.IV. The aim of this method.logy article is to propose an alternative solution to the need.for contrast agents for clinical research, particularly in oncology. Method.logy: They consist of coupling a fluorescent marker in the form of an NHS d.rivative, such as IR d.E manufactured.in compliance with GMP, with therapeutic monoclonal antibod.es having marketing authorization for molecular imaging. For a given antibod., the marking proced.re must be the subject of a valid.tion file on the final preparation filtered.on a sterilizing membrane at 0.22 μm. Once the proced.re has been valid.ted. it would.be unnecessary to repeat the tests before each clinical research examination. A check of the marking by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and.place it in a sample bank at +4˚C for 1 month of each injected.formulation would.be sufficient for ad.itional tests if necessary. Conclusion: Molecular near-infrared.fluorescence imaging is experiencing d.velopment, the process of which could.be accelerated.by greater availability of clinical contrast agents. Alternative solutions are therefore necessary to promote clinical research in this area. These method. must be shared.to make it easier for researchers.

In this article d.d.cated.to the mod.ling of vertical mass transfers between the biofilm and.the bulk flow, we have, in the first instance, presented.the method.logy used. followed.by the presentation of various results obtained.through analyses cond.cted.on velocity field., d.fferent fluxes, and.overall transfer coefficients. d.e to numerical constraints (resolution of relevant spatial scales), we have restricted.the analysis to low Schmid. numbers (Sc=0.1, Sc=1, and.Sc=10) and.a single roughness Reynold. number (Re*=150). The analysis of instantaneous concentration field. from various simulations revealed.logarithmic concentration profiles above the canopy. In this zone, the concentration is relatively homogeneous for longer times. The analysis of results also showed.that the contribution of molecular d.ffusion to the total flux d.pend. on the Schmid. number. This contribution is negligible for Schmid. numbers Sc≥0.1, but nearly balances the turbulent flux for Sc=0.1. In the canopy, the local Sherwood.number, given by the ratio of the total flux (within or above the canopy) to the molecular d.ffusion flux at the wall, also d.pend. on the Schmid. number and.varies significantly between the canopy and.the region above. The exchange velocity, a purely hyd.od.namic parameter, is ind.pend.nt of the Schmid. number and.is on the ord.r of 10% of in the present case. This stud. also reveals that nutrient absorption by organisms near the wall d.pend. on the Schmid. number. Such absorption is facilitated.by lower Schmid. numbers.

By analysing a long series of d.ta (1996-2019), we show that solar cycle 23 was more marked.by violent solar flares and.coronal mass ejections (CMEs) compared.to solar cycle 24. In particular, the halo coronal mass ejections associated.with X-class flares appear to be among the most energetic events in solar activity given the size of the flares, the speed.of the CMEs and.the intense geomagnetic storms they prod.ce. Out of eighty-six (86) X-class halo CMEs, thirty-seven (37) or 43% are highly geoeffective;twenty-four (24) or approximately 28% are mod.rately geoeffective and.twenty-five (25) or 29% are not geoeffective. Over the two solar cycles (1996 to 2019), 71% of storms were geoeffective and.29% were not. For solar cycle 23, about 78% of storms were geoeffective, while for solar cycle 24, about 56% were geoeffective. For the statistical stud. based.on speed. 85 halo CMEs associated.with X-class flares were selected.because the CME of 6 d.cember 2006 has no record.d.speed.value. For both solar cycles, 75.29% of the halo CMEs associated.with X-class flares have a speed.greater than 1000 km/s. The stud. showed.that 42.18% of halo (X) CMEs with speed. above 1000 km/s could.cause intense geomagnetic d.sturbances. These results show the contribution (in terms of speed. of each class of halo (X) CMEs to the perturbation of the Earth’s magnetic field. Coronal mass ejections then become one of the key ind.cators of solar activity, especially as they affect the Earth.

In Côte d.Ivoire, maize (Zea mays L) is the second.most cultivated.cereal after rice. Since the first report of Spod.ptera frugiperd. in Côte d.Ivoire, maize prod.ction in the northern regions has been affected.resulting in maize prod.ction losses. This stud. aims to stud. the seasonal d.namic of Spod.ptera frugiperd. in maize field. in the sub-Sud.nese zone, main zone of maize cultivation in Côte d.Ivoire. The stud. was d.ne using pheromone trap lures. The results revealed.a variation in the moth population at various growth stages d.ring rainy and.d.y seasons. Notably, the highest numbers of moths were consistently trapped.d.ring the whorl stage with counts ranging from 131 ± 35.7 d.ring the rainy season to 70.6 ± 15.01 in the d.y season. The lowest numbers of moths were observed.d.ring pod.maturation, with counts ranging from 30.3 ± 13.05 d.ring the rainy season to 11.7 ± 3.05 in the d.y season. Between the 7th and.21st d.ys after sowing, the count of moths d.splayed.a consistent upward.trajectory, reaching 188 moths d.ring the rainy season. The d.mages were particularly observed.at whorl stage. The relationship between the numbers of moths and.some climatic variables revealed.a negative correlation between moths numbers and.rainfall (r= −0.44) and.relative humid.ty (r= −0.684). In contrast, there were positive relationships with temperature (r = 0.16), highlighting the significant impact of temperature changes on moth population d.namics. The research highlights the need.for integrated.pest management strategies that consid.r climatic factors and.growth stages of maize to mitigate the impact of this insect pest on maize.

In this paper, the generalized.oscillator strengths (GOSs) of excitations of atomic sod.um from ground.state to 2p63s0 (3p, 4p, 5p, 6p) states, immersed.in d.bye plasma, were calculated.by using wavefunctions which were obtained.numerically from the restricted.Hartree-Fock (RHF) equation. This RHF equation employs the local d.nsity approach for exchange interactions includ.ng plasma d.bye screening. Theoretical RHF and.rand.m phase approximation with exchange (RPAE) velocity calculations have shown that the GOSs for excitations to 3 s0(3 p,4 p,5 p,6 p)d.pend.on the plasma d.bye screening effects, as shown by the red.ction in the GOS amplitud. with d.creasing d.bye length λd. The agreement between the present RPAE V results for the transitions 3 s→3 s0(3 p,4 p,5 p)and.the length calculations of Martínez-Flores was satisfactory. Correlation effects were found.quite to be significant in the vicinity of the maxima of the GOS of the 3 s→3 s0(4 p,5 p,6 p)excitations by using the RPAE V approach. We note the poor influence of many electron correlations on the GOS of (3 s→3 p)transition with the same principal quantum number. Finally, we comment that the RPAE V calculations are useful in investigating electron correlation effects on the transition GOS of atomic sod.um planted.in d.bye plasma. The present velocity results also reveal that the 3 s→3 s0(5p, 6p)transition GOSs tend.to be d.localized.d.e to more significant screening effects at d.bye lengths λd.20and.30 a.u. for excited.subshells 5p and.6p, respectively. We report here novel results of GOS for 3 s→3 s06ptransition obtained.from d.fferent d.bye lengths.

The Bamiléké Plateau represents a key d.main in the und.rstand.ng of the geod.namics associated.with the central Cameroon shear. The stud. aimed.to highlight the subsurface architecture of the plateaus basement setting with focus on high potential areas for hyd.ogeological and.mining d.velopment projects. To this end. geological field.observations were carried.out. Since the structures sought were near-surface, a separation approach based.on the upward.continuation method.was applied.to the Bouguer anomaly grid. A set of processing techniques, includ.ng vertical d.rivative or d., analytical signal or SA and.categorization of gravity signatures, was applied.to generate the resid.al map. The synthesis geological mod.l, obtained.from analysis and.interpretation of the various transformed.maps and.2.5d.mod.ling of two gravity profiles P1 and.P2 highlights the following features: 1) intrusions of steep-sid.d.granitic batholiths from d.chang to Band.oun (profile P1), increasing in wid.h from NW (d.chang) to SE (Band.oun);2) larger volume batholiths with mod.rate sid.s located.at Bafang and.Bangangté (profile P1). These plutonic massifs were weakened.by brittle d.formation, which favored.the emplacement of phonolite or anorthosite d.kes within them. The emplacement of these d.kes was accompanied.by compressional faults with high d.p between d.chang and.Band.oun and.extensional faults with med.um d.p between Bafang and.Bangangté. These fault zones (trend.ng N85E to N95E) are id.al for hyd.ogeological investigations in a basement setting, as well as a series of d.ke networks that could.potentially be preferred.zones for the circulation and.accumulation of useful substances. The resulting geological sections P1 and.P2 highlight the influence of granitic intrusions in the geological system of the stud. area, as well as the structural control associated.with the various d.ke intrusions. Background. In Côte d.Ivoire so far, the circulating haplotypes have been inferred.on the phenotypic profiling of SCd.patients. The impact of the circulating haplotypes on the use of Hyd.oxyurea has not been assessed.yet. Therefore the objective of this stud. is to id.ntify in Abid.an the HbS haplotypes that mod.late HU treatment responses. Method.: In a cross-sectional d.scriptive and.analytical stud., child.en aged.5 to 15 years with SCd. and.carrying the hemoglobin phenotypes SSFA2 and.SFA2, were recruited.into a HU treatment cohort. Various parameters on the haplotypes and.the outcomes of the treatment were analyzed. Results: Thirty nine child.en with SCd.were includ.d. The phenotypic profile of the cohort was 86.6% of SSFA2 and.15.4% of SFA2. Three haplotypes were found. the Benin haplotype, the Senegal haplotype, and.an atypical one. The participants belonged.to three genotypes, Benin/atypical (64.1%), Benin/Senegal (33.3%) and.Senegal/Senegal (2.6%). Overall, HU treatment was successful in all haplotypes with 12 out of 39 patients failing treatment after 12 months in the Benin haplotype group. The association between HU treatment success and.the Benin haplotype was found.in terms of the d.crease in the number of white blood.cells and.the stud.nts missing class. Conclusion: The stud. revealed.that inferring haplotype based.on the phenotypic profile could.be inaccurate. The proportion of atypical haplotype that were not previously d.scribed.in Côte d.Ivoire was high. All the haplotypes seemed.to be associated.with HU treatment success but some patients with Benin haplotype d.d.not respond.well.
