Peritoneal interposition flap reduces symptomatic lymphocele following transperitoneal robot-assisted radical prostatectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection:An updated meta-analysis

The Transport and Persistence of escherichia coli in Leachate from Poultry Litter Amended Soils

Fecal coliform bacteria such as escherichia coli (e. coli) are one of the main sources of groundwater pollution. An assessment of the transport and Persistence of e. coli in poultry litter amended Decatur silty Clay soil and Hartsells Sandy soil was conducted using soil columns and simulated groundwater leaching. enumeration of initial e. coli was determined to range from 2.851 × 103 to 3.044 × 103 CFU per gram of soil. These results have been used in a batch study to determine the persistence rate of e. coli in Decatur silty Clay soil and Hartsells Sandy soil. Results prove that e. coli survival growth rate increases for clay soil later than and at a higher rate than sandy soil. The column study has determined that e. coli was transported at a rate of 3.7 × 106 CFU for Decatur silty loam and 6.3 × 106 CFU for Hartsells sandy per gram of soil. Further, linear regression analysis predictions show higher porosity and soil moisture content affect transport, and Hartsells sandy soil has higher transport of e. coli due to its higher porosity and lower volumetric water content.

Reduction Discoloration of Reactive Dyed Cotton Waste and Chemical Recycling via Ionic Liquid

The textile industry generates large volumes of waste throughout its production *** of this waste is colored,therefore,discoloration is an important step toward recycling and reusing this *** study focused on the chemical reductive discoloration of textile waste composed of cotton dyed with reactive *** experimental design demonstrated the significant influence of the concentration of reducing agent and time of reaction on the degree of whiteness of the cotton *** concentration of the alkaline agent was not significant in the *** optimization of the reaction conditions lead to Berger degree of 50.5±*** discolored cotton was chemically recycled through dissolution in ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride and regeneration in film form in *** microstructure of the regenerated cellulose films was evaluated by Scanning electron Microscopy(SeM)indicating complete dissolution and uniform *** discoloration process reduced the polymerization degree and crystallinity index of the cotton fibers but retained the cellulose I *** dissolution and cellulose regeneration process results in transparent films with an amorphous *** thermal behavior,evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis,indicated that residues and regenerated film presented a main decomposition *** maximum decomposition rate temperature of the regenerated films was approximately 40℃lower than the cotton fibers,which correlates well with the reduction in polymerization degree and amorphous *** general,the study demonstrated that textile cotton waste dyed with reactive dyes can be chemically discolored to form transparent and amorphous films,contributing to the development of sustainable strategies for the textile industry.

During the rainy season in Brazil,landslides can have catastrophic consequences,including loss of life,damage to urban infrastructure and significant economic ***,more than eight million people in Brazil live in disaster-prone *** objective of this article is to present a chronological review of the principal policies and programmes at the national,state,and municipal levels,with an emphasis on their key actions aimed at mitigating the impact of disasters related to natural hazards,particularly *** analysis was based on official records of public policies from the national,state,and municipal *** results show that several initiatives were initially developed at the local and regional ***,it was not until the late 1980s that a comprehensive organisation of civil protection at the national level emerged as a response *** is possible to highlight three phases(understanding,coexistence,and prevention)of institutional action focused on risk management in the face of *** the growing knowledge of risk scenarios,disasters continue to occur in Brazil on an annual basis,revealing several obstacles to reducing their impact,particularly given the social and economic disparities between Brazilian regions and the applicability of public policies that must overcome the limitations of each municipality.
