We present a SUSY model with four Higgs doublets of the "private type," in which all fermion types（up, down, and charged leptons） obtain their masses from a different Higgs doublet H_f （f = u1, d, e）. The conditions for anomaly cancellation imply that the remaining Higgs doublet of the model (Hu2) must have the same hypercharge as Hu1, and thus, can only couple to up-type quarks, which opens the possibility to have FCNCs only in this sector. We study the Lagrangian of the model, and in particular, the Higgs potential, to identify the Higgs mass-eigenstates and their interactions; for the Yukawa matrices, we consider the four-texture case. We obtain constraints on the model parameters by using LHC measurements on the properties of the 125 GeV Higgs boson（h）, and identify viable regions of the parameter space. Subsequently, these constraints are used to evaluate the prospects for detecting the FCNC decay mode t → ch at the future high-luminosity（HL） option for the LHC, which are compared with current limits from LHC-run2. Moreover, we evaluate the FCNC decay of the next heavier Higgs boson H2→ tc, which can typically reach BR（H2→ tc） ≈ O(10-4-10-5). The search for the signal at HL-LHC is also studied, and it is found that it may be detectable for specific regions of the model parameter space.

Background:Platinum chemotherapy(CT)remains the backbone of systemic therapy for patients with smallcell lung cancer(SCLC).The nucleotide excision repair(NER)pathway plays a central role in the repair of the dNA damage exerted by platinum *** in this repair mechanism may affect patients’*** and Methods:We conducted a retrospective analysis of data from 38 patients with extensive disease(Ed)-SCLC who underwent platinum-CT at the Clinical Oncology Unit,Careggi University Hospital,Florence(Italy),from 2015 to *** expression analysis and single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)characterization of three NER pathway genes—namely ERCC1,ERCC2,and ERCC5—were performed on patient tumor ***:Overall,elevated expression of ERCC genes was observed in SCLC patients compared to healthy *** with low ERCC1 and ERCC5 expression levels exhibited a better median progression-free survival(mPFS=7.1 vs.4.9 months,p=0.39 for ERCC1 and mPFS=6.9 vs.4.8 months,p=0.093 for ERCC5)and overall survival(mOS=8.7 vs.6.0 months,p=0.4 for ERCC1 and mOS=7.2 vs.6.2 months,p=0.13 for ERCC5).Genotyping analysis of five SNPs of ERCC genes showed a longer survival in patients harboring the wild-type genotype or the heterozygous variant of the ERCC1 rs11615 SNP(p=0.24 for PFS and p=0.14 for OS)and of the rs13181 and rs1799793 ERCC2 SNPs(p=0.43 and p=0.26 for PFS and p=0.21 and p=0.16 for OS,respectively)compared to patients with homozygous mutant ***:The comprehensive analysis of ERCC gene expression and SNP variants appears to identify patients who derive greater survival benefits from platinum-CT.

Background Research on therapeutic processes has explored the elements that enhance psychotherapy’s effectiveness, particularly the role of common factors across various models. The therapist’s use of directiveness and support, as common variables, is crucial for effective treatment. Effective therapists adapt their level of directiveness and support according to the treatment phase, the issue being addressed, and the patient’s characteristics. This study examines the importance therapists attribute to directiveness and support, as well as its relationship with theoretical orientation, access to research publications, and stance on the similar effectiveness of different psychotherapeutic models. It aims to determine whether therapists’ attributions regarding this variable are in line with the importance it is given in process research. Methods Responses from 69 psychotherapists to the Psychotherapeutic Effectiveness Attribution Questionnaire (PEAQ-12), which assesses the importance therapists place on key psychotherapeutic process variables, including the directiveness and support provided, were analyzed. Theoretical orientations, ages, and experience levels were considered. Non-parametric tests, contingency tables, χ 2 tests, t -tests, and ANOVAs were used to assess the variation in responses. Results Common factors were often identified as key contributors to therapeutic healing, though these differences were not statistically significant (χ 2 (2, N = 67) = 3.701, p = 0.157). For the “directiveness and support from the therapist” variable, significant differences were observed: Cognitive-behavioral therapists valued directiveness and support more than psychodynamic therapists ( t (20) = −3.569, p = 0.002; Cohen’s d = 1.18). Therapists who view cognitive-behavioral therapies as most effective also rated this variable higher ( t (38) = 3.816, p d = 1.21). Those regularly accessing specialized psychotherapy research publications valued this variable

Flavor violating Higgs signals, such as the top FCNC decay t→ch0 and the LFV Higgs decay h0→τμ, have been studied at the LHC. These signals can arise within the general Two-Higgs doublet Model （THdM）, where each Higgs doublet couples to all fermion types through Yukawa matrices Yf 1 and Y f2 . The Yukawa matrices can be assumed to have the same form or they could have different structures. In this paper we study the case when both Yf1 and Y f2 have completely different forms, but in such a way that they complement to produce a specific hermitian mass matrix. We find that for specific four-zero textures, the flavor violating Higgs couplings depend only on the free parameters tan β, γf and the fermion masses. We use the current bounds on the low energy processes to derive constraints on the heavy Higgs boson mass, tanβand γf Then, we use these constraints to evaluate the LFV Higgs decays, which reach branching ratios that could be tested at the LHC.

Objective: To identify the principal factors associated with the occurrence and development of medical device-related pressure injuries (MdRPI) in adults admitted to hospitals. MdRPI, a peculiar subtype of pressure injuries (PI), result from the pression exerted by devices (or their fixation systems) applied for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. MdRPI represent a serious problem for patients and healthcare systems. Understanding potential risk factors is an important step in implementing effective interventions. Methods: In this study, we will perform a systematic review;if possible, also a meta-analysis will be performed. The review will follow the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) reporting guidelines for systematic reviews. A rigorous literature search will be conducted both in electronic databases (Medline/PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane Library) to identify studies published since 2000 and in gray literature for unpublished studies. Pairs of researchers will identify relevant evidence, extract data, and assess risk of bias independently in each eligible study. Factors associated with the occurrence of MdRPI are considered the primary outcome. Secondary outcomes are prevalence and incidence of MdRPI, length of hospital stay, infections, and death. The evidence will be synthesized using the GRAdE methodology. Results: Results are not currently available as this is a protocol for a systematic review. Conclusions: This systematic review will identify evidence on risk factors for developing MdRPI. We are confident that the results of this review will help to improve clinical practice and guide future research.

Low dimensional silicon, where quantum size effects play significant roles, enables silicon with new photonic functionalities. In this short review, we discuss the way that silicon nanocrystals are produced, their optoelectronic properties and a few device applications. We demonstrate that low dimensional silicon is an optimum material for developing silicon photonics.

Previous cytological studies on the transected lumbar spinal cord of lizards have shown the presence of differentiating glial cells,few neurons and axons in the bridge region between the proximal and distal stumps of the spinal cord in some cases.A limited number of axons(20-50)can cross the bridge and re-connect the caudal stump of the spinal cord with small neurons located in the rostral stump of the spinal *** axonal regeneration appears to be related to the recovery of hind-limb movements after initial *** present study extends previous studies and shows that after transection of the lumbar spinal cord in lizards,a glial-connective tissue bridge that reconnects the rostral and caudal stumps of the interrupted spinal cord is formed at 11-34 days *** an initial paralysis some recovery of hindlimb movements occurs within 1-3 months *** and ultrastructural analysis for a growth associated protein 43(GAP-43)of 48-50 k da shows that sparse GAP-43 positive axons are present in the proximal stump of the spinal cord but their number decreased in the bridge at 11-34 days *** immunolabeled axons with a neurofilament protein of 200-220 k da were seen in the bridge at 11-22 days post-transection but their number increased at 34 days and 3 months post-amputation in lizards that have recovered some hindlimb *** neurons in the rostral and caudal stumps of the spinal cord were also labeled for GAP43,a cytoplasmic protein that is trans-located into their axonal growth *** indicates that GAP-43 biosynthesis is related to axonal regeneration and sprouting from neurons that were damaged by the *** together,previous studies that utilized tract-tracing technique to label the present observations confirm that a limited axonal re-connection of the transected spinal cord occurs 1-3 months post-injury in *** few regenerating-sprouting axons within the bridge reconnect
