A novel porous and crystalline two-dimensional(2d)electrochemically active covalent organic framework(COF)based on ortho-quinone units has been prepared as an innovative approach towards the development of organic cathode materials with multiple redox sites as an efficient electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).In contrast with most of the previously reported COFs as electrocatalysts for the ORR,the electrocatalytic application of this material towards ORR has been investigated without adding any metal or conductive supporting material and avoiding any additional carbonization ***,the electrochemical properties of the COF material have been compared with two analogue amorphous frameworks with similar chemical composition,which points out the important role of the enhanced crystallinity and porosity of the COF network in its superior performance as an electrocatalyst towards ORR.

Salix L.(willow)is the largest genus of the family Salicaceae and plays an important role in riparian habitats,wetlands and in shrub *** to the diff erent implications for the species belonging to this family,it is fundamental to identify molecular tools characterizing relevant clones.A set of six multilocus and multiallelic simple sequence repeat(SSRs)markers are presented,leading to 390 polymorphic fragments considered as single dominant markers and able to discriminate successfully 92 *** *** 24 Salix *** polymorphic fragments have been used to perform genetic diversity studies,and to investigate population structures and cluster analysis in a germplasm *** results highlight the capability of the six SSRs to be powerful genetic resources in applied forestry research,both to distinguish *** clones from Salix *** to perform genetic population studies for breeding programs.

The purpose of this study is to assess the physical and chemical quality of borehole water intended for consumption in the collines department in Benin. At the end of a sampling campaign, twenty-one (21) drinking water points were sampled. different physico-chemical parameters were measured using standard analysis methods. The results of the analysis of the samples, showed that the groundwater of the department of the hills is characterized by a neutral pH and an average electrical conductivity in accordance with the WHO and Benin standard relating to the potability of groundwater. With this pH neutrality which would be linked to the nature of geological formations made up of crystalline rocks, the water in the hills is moderately hard with hardness values of 208 mg/L on average for magnesium ions of 22.54 mg/L on average and calcium ions of the order of 46.03 mg/L on average at the scale of the various localities and an alkalinity is of 43.81 mg/L on average. The values between 0 and 163.91 mg/L are low in the South-East and very high, even exceeding the standard accepted by WHO in the West and North-East of the study area. This nitrate pollution and the fairly high levels of organic matter in total nitrogen observed in the groundwater of the hills could also have an impact on the vulnerability of the water table. The assessment of the areas endangered by debris flows is a major issue in the context of mountain watershed management. depending on the scale of analysis, different methods are required for the assessment of the areas exposed to debris *** 2-d numerical models are advised for detailed mapping of inundation areas on individual alluvial fans, preliminary recognition of hazard areas at the regional scale can be adequately performed by less data-demanding methods, which enable priority ranking of channels and alluvial fans at risk by debris flows. This contribution focuses on a simple and fast procedure that has been implemented for regionalscale identification of debris-flow prone channels and prioritization of the related alluvial fans. The methodology is based on the analysis of morphometric parameters derived from digital Elevation Models(dEMs). Potential initiation sites of debris flows are identified as the dEM cells that exceed a threshold of slope-dependent contributing area. Channel reaches corresponding to debris flows propagation, deceleration and stopping conditions are derived from thresholds of local slope. An analysis of longitudinal profiles is used for the computation of the runout distance of debris flows. Information on erosion-resistant bedrock channels and sediment availability surveyed in the field are taken into account in the applications. A set of software tools was developed and made available(https://***/Hydrogeomorphology Tools) to facilitate the application of the procedure. This approach, which has been extensively validated by means of field checks, has been extensively applied in the eastern Italian Alps. This contribution discusses potential and limitations of the method in the frame of the management of small mountain watersheds.

Nowadays,sustainability and circular economy are two principles to be pursued in all *** road pavement engineering,they can be put into practice through the partial substitution of bitumen with industrial residues and by-products deriving from renewable *** this framework,this paper presents an extensive investigation of the chemical,morphological and rheological properties of bio-binders obtained by mixing a conventional 50/70 bitumen with different percentages by weight(0,5%,10%and 15%)of a renewable bio-oil,generated as a residue in the processing of wood into pulp and *** show that overall the bio-oil provides a softening effect,which,in terms of performance,leads to an improvement of the low-temperature behaviour and fatigue resistance with respect to the control bitumen,in spite of an increased tendency to permanent *** no chemical reaction appears to occur after blending,the peculiarities of the bio-oil affect the chemistry of the resulting bio-binders,whereas no phase separation is observed from the microscopic *** addition,a Newtonian behaviour,an unchanged temperature susceptibility and a good fitting of 1 S2 P1 d model to the rheological data are found,regardless of the bio-oil percentage *** promising outcomes suggest that such bio-binders can be favourably employed for several applications in road pavements.

In this paper we establish a result about uniformly equivalent norms and the convergence of best approximant pairs on the unitary ball for a family of weighted Luxemburg norms with normalized weight functions depending on ε, when ε→ 0. It is introduced a general concept of Pade approximant and we study its relation with the best local quasi-rational approximant. We characterize the limit of the error for polynomial approximation. We also obtain a new condition over a weight function in order to obtain inequalities in Lp norm, which play an important role in problems of weighted best local Lp approximation in several variables.

Background:The Huashanshen(HSS)dripping pill has been widely used in asthma for a long time in ***,the relaxant mechanism of HSS is not well ***:In this report,high performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used to identify the constituents in rat plasma after oral administration of ***-sensitized allergic asthma and isolated trachea were studied for the anti-asthmatic mechanism of ***:d-anisodamine,L-anisodamine,scopolamine and atropine were detected in the rat plasma containing *** was clear that the HSS inhibited the release of inflammatory mediators,regulated the balance of T-helper 1 and T-helper 2 to reduce the airway inflammation,and relaxed the tracheal smooth muscle by controlling the KCa channel,Ca^(2+)influx and release to reduce the airway ***:Atropine,anisodamine and scopolamine might be active compounds of HSS which inhibited the release of inflammatory mediators,regulated the balance of Th1/Th2,and relaxed the tracheal smooth muscle to reduce airway hyperresponsiveness.

We present the design and experimentally demonstrate a dual-level grating coupler with subdecibel efficiency for a 220 nm thick silicon photonics waveguide which was fabricated starting from a 340 nm silicon-on-insulator *** proposed device consists of two grating levels designed with two different linear apodizations,with opposite chirping signs,and whose period is varied for each scattering unit.A coupling efficiency of-0.8 d B at1550 nm is experimentally demonstrated,which represents the highest efficiency ever reported in the telecommunications C-band in a single-layer silicon grating structure without the use of any backreflector or indexmatching material between the fiber and the grating.
