Lithium-selenium(Li-Se)batteries are deemed as an emerging high energy density electrochemical energy storage system owing to their high specific capacity and volume *** to their practicality,a series of critical challenges from the Se cathode side need to be overcome including low reactivity of bulk Se,shuttle effect of intermediates,sluggish redox kinetics of polyselenides,and volume change *** this review,recent progress on design strategies of functional Se cathodes are comprehensively summarized and *** the significance and key challenges,various efficient functionalized strategies for Se cathodes are presented,encompassing covalent bonding,nanostructure construction,heteroatom doping,component hybridization,and solid solution ***,the universality of these functional strategies are successfully extended into Na-Se batteries,K-Se batteries,and Mg-Se *** last,a brief summary is made and some perspectives are offered with the goal of guiding future research advances and further exploration of these strategies.

Colloidal core/shell quantum dots(QDs) are promising for solar technologies because of their excellent optoelectronic properties including tunable light absorption/emission spectra, high photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY), suppressed Auger recombination, efficient charge separation/transfer, and outstanding photo-/thermal-/chemical stability. In this review, engineered core/shell QDs with various types of band structures and corresponding device performance in luminescent solar concentrators(LSCs), light-emitting diodes(LEDs), solar-driven photoelectrochemical(PEC) devices, and QDs-sensitized solar cells(QDSCs) are summarized. In particular, the applications of interfacial layer engineering and eco-friendly, heavy metal-free core/shell QDs in optoelectronic devices are highlighted. Finally, strategies towards the developments and practical perspectives of core/shell QDs are briefly mentioned to offer guidelines for achieving prospective high-efficiency and long-term stable QD devices.

Let G be a finite group generated by S and C(G,S) the Cayley digraphs of G with connection set *** this paper,we give some sufficient conditions for the existence of hamiltonian circuit in C(G,S),where G=Zm×H is a semiproduct of Zmby a subgroup H of *** particular,if m is a prime,then the Cayley digraph of G has a hamiltonian circuit unless G=Zm×*** addition,we introduce a new digraph operation,called φ-semiproduct of Γ1by Γ2and denoted by Γ1×Γ_φΓ2,in terms of mapping φ:V(Γ2)→{1,-1}.Furthermore we prove that C(Zm,{a})×_φ C(H,S) is also a Cayley digraph if φ is a homomorphism from H to{1,-1} ≤ Zm~*,which produces some classes of Cayley digraphs that have hamiltonian circuits.

A recent study published by Simon Alberti1 in Cell has revealed that DNA double-strand break(DSB)sites that prevent the disjunction of broken DNA ends are formed through poly(ADPribose)(PAR)polymerase 1(PARP1)-DNA co-condensation.1(Fig.1).Here,a comprehensive and novel model was provided for the ordered assembly of PARP1-DNA condensates,which can rationally make clear broken DNA end synapses and how repair effectors are recruited to repair DSB.

Timely inspection of defects on the surfaces of wind turbine blades can effectively prevent unpredictable *** this end,this study proposes a semi-supervised object-detection network based on You Only Looking Once version 4(YOLOv4).A semi-supervised structure comprising a generative adversarial network(GAN)was designed to overcome the difficulty in obtaining sufficient samples and sample *** a GAN,the generator is realized by an encoder-decoder network,where the backbone of the encoder is YOLOv4 and the decoder comprises inverse convolutional *** features from the generator are passed to the defect detection *** several unlabeled images can significantly improve the generalization and recognition capabilities of defect-detection *** small-scale object detection capacity of the network can be improved by enhancing essential features in the feature map by adding the concurrent spatial and channel squeeze and excitation(scSE)attention module to the three parts of the YOLOv4 network.A balancing improvement was made to the loss function of YOLOv4 to overcome the imbalance problem of the defective *** results for both the single-and multi-category defect datasets show that the improved model can make good use of the features of the unlabeled *** accuracy of wind turbine blade defect detection also has a significant advantage over classical object detection algorithms,including faster R-CNN and DETR.

The achievement of a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B(CHB)remains limited to a minority of patients treated with currently approved *** primary objective in developing new anti-HBV drugs is to enhance the functional cure rates for CHB.A critical prerequisite for the functional cure of CHB is a substantial reduction,or even eradication of covalently closed circular DNA(cccDNA).Within this context,the changes in cccDNA levels during treatment become as a pivotal *** have previously analyzed the factors influencing cccDNA dynamics and introduced a preliminary classification of hepatitis B treatment strategies based on these *** this review,we employ a systems thinking perspective to elucidate the fundamental aspects of the HBV replication cycle and to rationalize the classification of treatment strategies according to their impact on the dynamic equilibrium of *** upon this foundation,we categorize current anti-HBV strategies into two distinct groups and advocate for their combined use to significantly reduce cccDNA levels within a well-defined timeframe.

The safety of transgenic technology is a major obstacle in the popularization and use of transgenic silkworms and their *** sericulture,only the first filial generation(F1)hybrid eggs produced by cross-breeding Japanese and Chinese original strains are usually used for the large-scale breeding of silkworms,but this may result in uncontrolled transgene dispersal during the popularization and application of the F1 hybrid transgenic *** address this issue,we developed a safe and efficient strategy using the GAL4/Upstream activating sequence(UAS)system,the FLP/flippase recognition target(FRT)system,and the gonad-specific expression gene promoters(RSHP1p and Nanosp)for the germ cell-specific automatic excision of foreign DNA in the F1 hybrid transgenic *** established 2 types of activator strains,R1p::GAL4-Gr and Nsp::GAL4-Gr,containing the testis-specific GAL4 gene expression cassettes driven by RSHP1p or Nanosp,respectively,and 1 type of effector strain,UAS::FLP-Rg,containing the UAS-linked FLP gene expression *** FLP recombinase-mediated sperm-specific complete excision of FRT-flanked target DNA in the F1 double-transgenic silkworms resulting from the hybridization of R1p::GAL4-Gr and UAS::FLP-Rg was 100%,whereas the complete excision efficiency resulting from the hybridization of Nsp::GAL4-Gr and UAS::FLP-Rg ranged from 13.73%to 80.3%.Additionally,we identified a gene,sw11114,that is expressed in both testis and ovary of Bombyx mori,and can be used to establish novel gonad-specific expression systems in transgenic *** strategy has the potential to fundamentally solve the safety issue in the production of F1 transgenic silkworm eggs and provides an important reference for the safety of transgenic technology in other insect species.

BACKGROUND Appendiceal intussusception is a pathological condition in which the appendix is inverted into the cecum,which may cause symptoms that resemble those of other gastrointestinal disorders and may induce intestinal *** rarity of this case presentation is the co-occurrence of appendiceal intussusception and cecal adenocarcinoma,a combination that to our knowledge has not previously been reported in the medical *** case provides new insights into the complexities of diagnosing and managing overlapping *** SUMMARY A 25-year-old woman presented with persistent periumbilical pain and bloody *** initial biopsy showed cecal cancer;however,subsequent colonoscopy and computed tomography findings raised the suspicion of appendiceal intussus-ception,which was later confirmed *** unique case was charac-terized by a combination of intussusception and adenocarcinoma of the *** intervention included a laparoscopic right hemicolectomy,which led to the histopathological diagnosis of mucinous adenocarcinoma with appendiceal *** patient recovered well postoperatively and was advised to initiate adjuvant *** case highlights not only the importance of considering appendiceal intussusception in the differential diagnosis,but also the possibility of appendicitis and the atypical presentation of neoplastic *** Physicians should consider the possibility of appendiceal intussusception in cases of atypical appendicitis,particularly when associated with neoplastic presentation.

This work reported an AIE fluorescent probe for tumor imaging based on the p H induced self-assembly strategy. The fluorescent probe was composed of an acid-responsive soluble copolymer PEG-b-PAMA-DMMA with a maleic acid amide group and an anionic soluble aggregation-induced emission fluorogen(AIEgen) TPE-2SO_(3)^(-). The polymer could be transformed into a protonated amine-containing polymer after the hydrolysis of maleic acid amide in acidic tumor microenvironment, which would be further self-assembled with TPE-2SO_(3)^(-)to form aggregated nanoparticles. The transition of TPE-2SO_(3)^(-)from dispersed state to aggregated state led to an obvious increase in fluorescence intensity due to its AIE characteristics.
