Benzimidazole derivatives have wide-spectrum biological activities and pharmacological effects,but remain challenging to be produced from biomass ***,we report a green hydrogen transfer strategy for the efficient one-pot production of benzimidazoles from a wide range of bio-alcohols and o-nitroanilines enabled by cobalt nitride species on hierarchically porous and recyclable nitrogen-doped carbon catalysts(Co/CN_(x)-T,T denotes the pyrolysis temperature)without using an external hydrogen source and base *** the tested catalysts,Co/CN_(x)-700 exhibited superior catalytic performance,furnishing 2-substituted benzimidazoles in 65%–92%*** mechanistic studies manifest that the coordination between Co^(2+)and N with appropriate electronic state on the porous nitrogen-doped carbon having structural defects,as well as the remarkable synergetic effect of Co/N dual sites contribute to the pronounced activity of Co/CN_(x)-700,while too high pyrolysis temperature may cause the breakage of the catalyst Co-N bond to lower down its ***,it is revealed that the initial dehydrogenation of bio-alcohol and the subsequent cyclodehydrogenation are closely correlated with the hydrogenation of nitro *** catalytic hydrogen transfer-coupling protocol opens a new avenue for the synthesis of N-heterocyclic compounds from biomass.

An interfacially active cobalt complex,cobalt dodecylbenzenesulfonate,was *** analysis,atomic absorption spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FT-IR）,thermogravimetric analysis,and surface/interfacial tension determination were performed to investigate the properties of the *** showed that the synthesized catalyst showed active interfacial behavior,decreasing the surface tension and interfacial tension between heavy oil and liquid phase to below 30 and 1.5 mN/m,*** catalyst was not thermally degraded at a temperature of 400 ℃,indicating its high thermal *** performance of the catalyst was evaluated by carrying out *** viscosity determination showed that the viscosity of the heavy oil decreased by 38%.The average molecular weight,group compositions,and average molecular structure of various samples were analyzed using elemental analysis,FT-IR,electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance（ESI FT-ICR MS）,and ～1H nuclear magnetic *** indicated that the catalyst could attack the sulfur- and O_2-type heteroatomic compounds in asphaltene and resin,especially the compounds with aromatic structure,leading to a decrease in the molecular weight and then the reduction in the viscosity of heavy ***,the synthesized catalyst might find an application in catalytic aquathermolysis of heavy oil,especially for the high-aromaticity heavy oil with high oxygen content.

Niobium-doped ZnO transparent conductive films are deposited on glass substrates by radio frequency sputtering at 300℃.The influence of O2/Ar ratio on the structural,electrical and optical properties of the as-deposited films is investigated by X-ray diffraction,Hall measurement and optical transmission *** lowest resistivity of 4.0×10-4Ω·cm is obtained from the film deposited at the O2/Ar ratio of 1/*** average optical transmittance of the films is over 90%.

The authors investigate the relationship between bias in simulated sea surface temperature （SST） in the equatorial eastern Pacific cold tongue during the boreal spring as simulated by an oceanic general circulation model （OGCM） and minimal wind mixing （MWM） at the surface. The cold bias of simulated SST is the greatest during the boreal spring, at approximately 3℃. A sensi- tivity experiment reducing MWM by one order of magnitude greatly alleviates cold biases, especially in March-April. The decrease in bias is primarily due to weakened vertical mixing, which preserves heat in the uppermost layer and results in warmer simulated SST. The reduction in vertical mixing also leads to a weak westward current in the upper layer, which further contributes to SST warming. These findings imply that there are large uncertainties about simple model parameters such as MWM at the oceanic surface.

The presence of aluminum(Al^(3+))and fluoride(F^(−))ions in the environment can be harmful to ecosystems and human health,highlighting the need for accurate and efficient *** this paper,an innovative approach is presented that leverages the power of machine learning to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fluorescence-based detection for sequential quantitative analysis of aluminum(Al^(3+))and fluoride(F^(−))ions in aqueous *** proposed method involves the synthesis of sulfur-functionalized carbon dots(C-dots)as fluorescence probes,with fluorescence enhancement upon interaction with Al^(3+)ions,achieving a detection limit of 4.2 nmol/***,in the presence of F^(−)ions,fluorescence is quenched,with a detection limit of 47.6 nmol/*** fingerprints of fluorescence images are extracted using a cross-platform computer vision library in Python,followed by data ***,the fingerprint data is subjected to cluster analysis using the K-means model from machine learning,and the average Silhouette Coefficient indicates excellent model ***,a regression analysis based on the principal component analysis method is employed to achieve more precise quantitative analysis of aluminum and fluoride *** results demonstrate that the developed model excels in terms of accuracy and *** groundbreaking model not only showcases exceptional performance but also addresses the urgent need for effective environmental monitoring and risk assessment,making it a valuable tool for safeguarding our ecosystems and public health.

Poor li plating reversibility and high thermal runaway risks are key challenges for fast charging lithiumion batteries with graphite ***,a dielectric and fire-resistant separator based on hybrid nanofibers of barium sulfate（BS） and bacterial cellulose（BC） is developed to synchronously enhance the battery's fast charging and thermal-safety *** regulation mechanism of the dielectric BS/BC separator in enhancing the li+ion transport and li plating reversibility is revealed.（1） The Max-Wagner polarization electric field of the dielectric BS/BC separator can accelerate the desolvation of solvated li+ions,enhancing their transport kinetics.（2） Moreover,due to the charge balancing effect,the dielectric BS/BC separator homogenizes the electric field/li+ion flux at the graphite anode-separator interface,facilitating uniform li plating and suppressing li dendrite ***,the fast-charge graphite anode with the BS/BC separator shows higher Coulombic efficiency（99.0% vs.96.9%） and longer cycling lifespan（100 cycles vs.59 cycles） than that with the polypropylene（PP） separator in the constantlithiation cycling test at 2 mA *** high-loading liFePO4(15.5 mg cm-2)//graphite(7.5 mg cm-2) full cell with the BS/BC separator exhibits excellent fast charging performance,retaining 70% of its capacity after 500 cycles at a high rate of 2C,which is significantly better than that of the cell with the PP separator（retaining only 27% of its capacity after 500 cycles）.More importantly,the thermally stable BS/BC separator effectively elevates the critical temperature and reduces the heat release rate during thermal runaway,thereby significantly enhancing the battery's safety.

Marine carbonates,the major carrier of carbon upon the upper crust,can be subducted into the Earth’s interior along with oceanic crust,and then returned to the surface through magmatism,which constitute the deep carbon *** process plays an important role in modulating the CO_(2) concentrations in the atmosphere over geologic time,and thus the forming of the habitable ***,identifying recycled marine carbonates in the mantle is critical to well understand the global deep carbon *** is one of the major constituent cations in marine carbonates and its isotopes may be a potential tracer for recycled marine carbonates in the *** further evaluate the capability and challenges of Ca isotopes as such a geochemical tracer,we reviewed the Ca isotopic compositions in important reservoirs and the behavior of Ca isotopes during high-temperature geological processes that are related to the deep carbon cycle,including plate subduction,mantle metasomatism,mantle partial melting,magma differentiation,*** studies show that carbonate-rich marine sediments have significantly lowerδ^(44/40) Ca than the Earth mantle,and metasomatism by such recycled materials can cause lighter Ca isotopic compositions in deep mantle-derived rocks than those of the depleted mantle and mid ocean ridge ***,the Ca isotopic fractionation during partial melting of mantle peridotites is small(~0.10‰)and the Ca isotopic fractionation during plate subduction and intermediate-mafic magma evolution is *** investigations suggest that Ca isotopes have great advances in tracing such recycled materials in the ***,other processes(such as the influence by partial melts of eclogites)may induce similar effects on mantle-derived rocks as subducted marine carbonates but still remains debated,and thus further investigations are strongly needed in the future.

Effect of h-BN rods on high-temperature properties of alumina-carbon refractory

h-BN rods modified low-carbon alumina-carbon(Al_(2)O_(3)-C)refractories were prepared,and the effect of h-BN rod addition on the high-temperature properties was investigated and compared with commercial h-BN flake,carbon black,and carbon nanotubes *** results demonstrated that Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories containing h-BN rods exhibited optimal high-temperature service performances,including 25%higher hot modulus of rupture,21.3%higher thermal shock strength residual ratio,20.9%lower in oxidation and 44.3%less in slag corrosion,compared to the counterpart specimens without ***,benefiting from the synergistic enhancement of the rod-like h-BN and in-situ generated SiC whiskers,the high-temperature service performances of h-BN rods containing specimens outperformed counterpart specimens containing commercial h-BN flake,carbon black,and carbon nanotubes,respectively.
