AIM: To explore the expression and replication of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA in primary duck hepatocytes (PDHs).METHODS: Complete HBV genome was transfected into PDHs by electroporation (transfected group, 1.19×1012copies of linear HBV DNA/1×107 PDHs). After 1-5 d of transfection, HBsAg and HBeAg in the supernatant and lysate of PDHs were measured with the IMX ***, replicative intermediates of HBV DNA were analyzed by Southern blotting and Dot blotting. PDHs electroporated were used as control ***: HBsAg in the hepatocyte lysates of transfected group was 15.24 (1 d), 14.55 (3 d) and 5.13 (5 d; P/N values, positive≥2.1) respectively. HBeAg was negative (＜2.1). Both HBsAg and HBeAg were negative in the supernatant of transfected group. Dot blotting revealed that HBV DNA was strongly positive in the transfected group and negative in the control group. Southern blot analysis of intracellular total DNA indicated that there were relaxed circular (rc DNA), covalently closed circular (ccc DNA), and single-stranded (ss DNA) HBV DNA replicative intermediates in the transfected group, there was no integrated HBV DNA in the cellular genome. These parameters were negative in control ***: Expression and replication of HBV genes can occur in hepatocytes from non-mammalian *** replication has no critical species-specificity, and yet hepatic-specific regulating factors in hepatocytes may be essential for viral replication.

On December 17,2020,the Chang’e-5 reentry spacecraft landed safely and brought back the lunar sample without *** paper describes the recovery system that has critically contributed to the scientific success of the Chang’e-5 missions and presents the technical requirements and constraints of the recovery system for the Chang’e-5 reentry spacecraft and discusses the design process of the recovery system,including the system composition,working procedure,and some other key ***,the ground cover rejection tests and air drop and flight tests were carried out to confirm the design *** results showed that the Chang’e-5 reentry spacecraft recovery system was designed correctly,and its functions and performances met the design requirements.A breakthrough in the recovery technology of the reentry spacecraft was achieved for Chinese first lunar sample-return mission.

Although one-dimensional Pt nanocrystals have long been regarded as ideal electrode catalysts for fuel cells,the synthetic techniques commonly involve the use of various complicated templates or surfactants,which have largely hampered their large-scale industrial ***,we present a convenient and cost-effective approach to the stereoassembly of quasi-one-dimensional grain boundary-enriched Pt nanoworms on nitrogen-doped low-defect graphitic carbon nanosheets(Pt NWs/NL-CNS).Benefiting from its numerous catalytically active grain boundaries as well as optimized electronic structure,the as-derived Pt NWs/NL-CNS catalyst possesses exceptionally good electrocatalytic properties for methanol oxidation,including an ultrahigh mass activity of 1949.5 mA mg^(-1), reliable long-term durability,and strong poison tolerance,affording one of the most active Pt-based electrocatalysts for methanol oxidation *** functional theory calculation further reveals that the formation of worm-shape Pt morphology is attributed to the modified electronic structure as well as controllable defect density of the carbon matrix,which could also weaken the adsorption ability of Pt towards CO molecule and meanwhile synergistically promotes the catalytic reaction kinetics.

BACKGROUND Liver cancer is among the top five most common cancers globally. Lipid-lowering drugs such as statins can lower the risk of liver cancer, but may also cause liver damage. LipoCol Forte capsules(LFC), a red yeast rice product, have demonstrated significant antihypercholesterolemic effects and a good safety profile in clinical *** To evaluate whether LFC lowers the risk of liver cancer in adults in this propensity score-matched, nationwide, population-based cohort *** We used data from Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Research database, which includes electronic medical records for up to 99.99% of Taiwan’s population. Despite the significant progress in the fabrication of advanced electrode materials,complex control strategies and tedious processing are often involved for most targeted materials to tailor their compositions,morphologies,and *** by the unique geometric structures of natural biomacromolecules together with their high affinities for metal species,we propose the use of skin collagen fibers for the template crafting of a novel multicore-shell Fe2N-carbon framework anode configuration,composed of hierarchical N-doped carbon nanofiber bundles firmly embedded with Fe2N nanoparticles(Fe2N@N-CFBs).In the resultant heterostructure,the Fe2N nanoparticles firmly confined inside the carbon shells are spatially isolated but electronically well connected by the long-range carbon nanofiber *** not only provides direct and continuous conductive pathways to facilitate electron/ion transport,but also helps cushion the volume expansion of the encapsulated Fe2N to preserve the electrode *** its unique structural characteristics,Fe2N@N-CFBs as an advanced anode material exhibits remarkable electrochemical performances for lithium-and potassium-ion ***,this bio-derived structural strategy can pave the way for novel low-cost and high-efficiency syntheses of metal-nitride/carbon nanofiber heterostructures for potential applications in energy-related fields and beyond.

AIM To evaluate the predictive value of the expression of chromosomal maintenance(CRM)1 and cyclindependent kinase(CDK)5 in gastric cancer(GC) patients after *** A total of 240 GC patients who received standard gastrectomy were enrolled in the study. The expression level of CRM1 and CDK5 was detected by immunohistochemistry. The correlations between CRM1 and CDK5 expression and clinicopathological factors were explored. Univariate and multivariate survival analyses were used to identify prognostic factors for GC. Receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to compare the accuracy of the prediction of clinical outcome by the parameters. RESULTS The expression of CRM1 was significantly related to size of primary tumor(P = 0.005), Borrmann type(P = 0.006), degree of differentiation(P = 0.004), depth of invasion(P = 0.008), lymph node metastasis(P = 0.013), TNM stage(P = 0.002) and distant metastasis(P = 0.015). The expression of CDK5 was significantly related to sex(P = 0.048) and Lauren's classification(P = 0.011). Multivariate Cox regression analysis identified that CRM1 and CDK5 co-expression status was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival(OS) of patients with GC. Integration of CRM1 and CDK5 expression could provide additional prognostic value for OS compared with CRM1 or CDK5 expression alone(P = 0.001).CONCLUSION CRM1 and CDK5 co-expression was an independent prognostic factors for GC. Combined CRM1 and CDK5 expression could provide a prognostic model for OS of GC.
