Recently published in Joule,Feng Liu and colleagues from Shanghai Jiaotong University reported a record-breaking 20.8%power conversion efficiency in organic solar cells(OSCs)with an interpenetrating fibril network active layer morphology,featuring a bulk p-in structure and proper vertical segregation achieved through additive-assisted layer-by-layer *** optimized hierarchical gradient fibrillar morphology and optical management synergistically facilitates exciton diffusion,reduces recombination losses,and enhances light capture *** approach.not only offers a solution to achieving high-efficiency devices but also demonstrates the potential for commercial applications of OSCs.

Two-terminal(2-T)perovskite(PVK)/CuIn(Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)tandem solar cells(TSCs)have been considered as an ideal tandem cell because of their best bandgap match.ng regarding to Shockley–Queisser(S–Q)***,the nature of the irregular rough morphology of commercial CIGS prevents people from improving tandem device *** this paper,D-homoserine lactone hydrochloride is proven to improve coverage of PVK materials on irregular rough CIGS surfaces and also passivate bulk defects by modulating the growth of PVK *** addition,the minority carriers near the PVK/C60 interface and the incompletely passivated trap states caused interface recombination.A surface reconstruction with 2-thiopheneethylammonium iodide and n,n-dimethylformamide assisted passivates the defect sites located at the surface and grain ***,LiF is used to create this field effect,repelling hole carriers away from the PVK and C60 interface and thus reducing *** a result,a 2-T PVK/CIGS tandem yielded a power conversion efficiency of 24.6%(0.16 cm^(2)),one of the highest results for 2-T PVK/CIGS TSCs to our *** validation underscores the potential of our methodology in achieving superior performance in PVK/CIGS tandem solar cells.

Traumatic brain injury is a global health crisis,causing significant death and disability *** that follows traumatic brain injury has serious consequences for neuronal survival and cognitive impairments,with astrocytes involved in this *** traumatic brain injury,astrocytes rapidly become reactive,and astrogliosis propagates from the injury core to distant brain *** astroglial proteins are downregulated near the traumatic brain injury core,while pro-inflammatory astroglial genes are *** altered gene expression is considered a pathological remodeling of astrocytes that produces serious consequences for neuronal survival and cognitive *** addition,glial scar formed by reactive astrocytes is initially necessary to limit immune cell infiltration,but in the long term impedes axonal reconnection and functional *** therapeutic strategies for traumatic brain injury are focused on preventing acute ***,cannabinoids,progesterone,beta-blockers,and cerebrolysin demonstrate neuroprotective benefits but most of them have not been studied in the context of *** this review,we discuss the cell signaling pathways activated in reactive astrocytes following traumatic brain injury and we discuss some of the potential new strategies aimed to modulate astroglial responses in traumatic brain injury,especially using cell-targeted strategies with miRnAs or lncRnA,viral vectors,and repurposed drugs.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） and film thickness measurement have been employed to study the atmospheric corrosion of a weathering steel covered with a thin electrolyte layer in a simulated coastal-industrial atmosphere. The results indicate that the corrosion rate is a function of the covered electrolyte thickness and the wet/dry cycle. Within each wet/dry cycle, the increased corrosion rate is related to the increased Cl^- and SO4^2- concentration and an enhancement of oxygen diffusion rate with the evaporation of the electrolyte. In addition, the corrosion rate increases during the initial corrosion stage and then decreases as the wet/dry cycle proceeds. Moreover, one mathematical approach based on the numerical integration method to obtain corrosion mass loss of steel from the measurements of EIS has been developed, and this would be useful for the development of indoor simulated atmospheric corrosion tests.

Estimating rock properties using sound signal dominant frequencies during diamond core drilling operations

In many engineering applications such as mining,geotechnical and petroleum industries,drilling operation is widely *** drilling operation produces sound by-product,which could be helpful for preliminary estimation of the rock ***,determination of rock properties is very difficult by the conventional methods in terms of high accuracy,and thus it is expensive and *** this context,a new technique was developed based on the estimation of rock properties using dominant frequencies from sound pressure level generated during diamond core drilling ***,sound pressure level was recorded and sound signals of these sound frequencies were analyzed using fast Fourier transform (FFT).Rock drilling experiments were performed on five different types of rock samples using computer numerical control (CnC) drilling mach.ne BMV 45 *** simple linear regression analysis,mathematical equations were developed for various rock properties,*** compressive strength,Brazilian tensile strength,density,and dominant frequencies of sound pressure *** developed models can be utilized at early stage of design to predict rock properties.

评估森林可燃物燃烧危险性,有助于客观认识森林火灾风险水平,从而制定相应防火和灭火措施,为开展森林火灾防治和应急管理工作提供决策依据。以黑龙江省大兴安岭林区为研究区,利用“森林火灾风险普查”3 300块标准样地调查数据,通过森林可燃物燃烧试验,对潜在初始火强度、灌木层连续性和易燃树种密度等指标进行等级划分,量化森林可燃物的燃烧性和空间分布的连续性,判断潜在林火强度大小和易发林火种类,评估森林可燃物燃烧危险性等级。结果表明:(1)黑龙江省大兴安岭林区森林可燃物燃烧危险性等级分为4个等级,即高危险性等级、中高危险性等级、中低危险性等级、低危险性等级;(2)大兴安岭林区从北纬50°~53°30′,从低纬度到高纬度标准地森林火灾高危险性等级比例依次为0.02、0.02、0.02、0.05、0.07、0.10、0.08,低危险性等级比例依次为0.50、0.48、0.41、0.36、0.34、0.30、0.29。

Glacial lake outburst floods(GLOFs)represent one of the most serious hazard and risk in deglaciating high mountain regions worldwide and the need for GLOF hazard and risk assessment is *** a consequence,numerous region-and nation-wide GLOF assessment studies have been published *** studies cover large areas and consider hundreds to thousands of lakes,prioritizing the hazard posed by ***,certain simplification is required for executing such studies,often resulting in neglecting qualitative characteristics which would need manual *** lake dam types(e.g.,bedrock-dammed,moraine-dammed)are often not distinguished,despite they control GLOF mech.nism(dam overtopping/dam breach)and thus GLOF *** this study,we explore the potential of easily measurable quantitative characteristics and four ratios to approximate the lake dam *** dataset of 851 lakes of the Cordillera Blanca suggests that while variances and means of these characteristics of individual lake types differ significantly(F-test,t-test),value distribution of different geometrical properties can’t be used for the originally proposed purpose along the *** only promising results are obtained for extreme values(selected bins)of the *** instance,the low width to length ratio indicates likely morainedammed lake while the high value of ratio indicating round-shape of the lake indicates increased likelihood of bedrock-dammed ***,we report a negative result of our experiment since there are negligible differences of relative frequencies in most of the bins along the spectra.
