Biodegradable implants are critical for regenerative orthopaedic procedures,but they may suffer from too fast corrosion in human-body *** necessitates the synthesis of a suitable coating that may improve the corrosion resistance of these implants without compromising their mechanical *** this study,an AZ91 magnesium alloy,as a representative for a biodegradable Mg implant material,was modified with a thin reduced graphene oxide(RGO)-calcium carbonate(CaCO_(3))composite *** analytical and in-vitro electrochemical characterization reveals that this coating significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical integrity,and thus has the potential to greatly extend the related application field.

Algal blooms,the spread of algae on the surface of water bodies,have adverse effects not only on aquatic ecosystems but also on human *** adverse effects of harmful algal blooms(HABs)necessitate a convenient solution for detection and *** aerial vehicles(UAVs)have recently emerged as a tool for algal bloom detection,efficiently providing on-demand images at high spatiotemporal *** study developed an image processing method for algal bloom area estimation from the aerial images(obtained from the internet)captured using *** a remote sensing method of HAB detection,analysis,and monitoring,a combination of histogram and texture analyses was used to efficiently estimate the area of *** features like entropy(using the Kullback-Leibler method)were emphasized with the aid of a gray-level co-occurrence *** results showed that the orthogonal images demonstrated fewer errors,and the morphological filter best detected algal blooms in real time,with a precision of 80%.This study provided efficient image processing approaches using on-board UAVs for HAB monitoring.

Background High dietary carbohydrates can spare protein in rainbow trout(Oncorhynchus mykiss)but may affect growth and ***,a prebiotic,could have nutritional and metabolic effects,along with anti-inflammatory properties in teleosts,improving growth and *** tested this hypothesis in rainbow trout by feeding them a 100%plant-based diet,which is a viable alternative to fishmeal and fish oil in aquaculture *** a two-factor design,we examined the impact of inulin(2%)as well as the variation in the carbohydrates(CHO)/plant protein ratio on rainbow *** assessed the influence of these factors on zootechnical parameters,plasma metabolites,gut microbiota,production of short-chain fatty acids and lactic acid,as well as the expression of free-fatty acid receptor genes in the mid-intestine,intermediary liver metabolism,and immune markers in a 12-week feeding *** The use of 2%inulin did not significantly change the fish intestinal microbiota,but interestingly,the high CHO/protein ratio group showed a change in intestinal microbiota and in particular the beta diversity,with 21 bacterial genera affected,including Ralstonia,Bacillus,and 11 lactic-acid producing *** were higher levels of butyric,and valeric acid in groups fed with high CHO/protein diet but not with *** high CHO/protein group showed a decrease in the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(il1b,il8,and tnfa)in liver and a lower expression of the genes coding for tight-junction proteins in mid-intestine(tjp1a and tjp3).However,the 2%inulin did not modify the expression of plasma immune ***,inulin induced a negative effect on rainbow trout growth performance irrespective of the dietary *** With a 100%plant-based diet,inclusion of high levels of carbohydrates could be a promising way for fish nutrition in aquaculture through a protein sparing effect whereas the supplementation of 2%inulin does not appear to improve the use of CHO wh

Every day,websites and personal archives create more and more *** size of these archives is *** comfort of use of these huge digital image gatherings donates to their ***,not all of these folders deliver relevant indexing *** the outcomes,it is dif-ﬁcult to discover data that the user can be absorbed ***,in order to determine the signiﬁcance of the data,it is important to identify the contents in an informative *** annotation can be one of the greatest problematic domains in multimedia research and computer ***,in this paper,Adap-tive Convolutional Deep Learning Model(ACDLM)is developed for automatic image ***,the databases are collected from the open-source system which consists of some labelled images(for training phase)and some unlabeled images{Corel 5 K,MSRC v2}.After that,the images are sent to the pre-processing step such as colour space quantization and texture color class *** pre-processed images are sent to the segmentation approach for efﬁcient labelling technique using J-image segmentation(JSEG).Theﬁnal step is an auto-matic annotation using ACDLM which is a combination of Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and Honey Badger Algorithm(HBA).Based on the proposed classiﬁer,the unlabeled images are *** proposed methodology is imple-mented in MATLAB and performance is evaluated by performance metrics such as accuracy,precision,recall and F1_*** the assistance of the pro-posed methodology,the unlabeled images are labelled.

As a multi-factorial degenerative disease, Parkinson＇s disease （PD） leads to tremor, gait rigidity, and hypokinesia, thus hampering normal living. As this disease is usually detected in the later stages when neurons have degenerated completely, cure is on hold, ultimately leading to death due to the lack of early diagnostic techniques. Thus, biomarkers are required to detect the disease in the early stages when prevention is possible. Various biomarkers providing early diagnosis of the disease include those of imaging, cerebrospinal fluid, oxidative stress, neuroprotection, and inflammation. Also, biomarkers, alone or in combination, are used in the diagnosis and evolution of PD. This review encompasses various biomarkers available for PD and discusses recent advances in their development.

Bianchi type I string dust cosmological models in the presence and absence of magnetic field in the frame work of Lyra geometry are investigated. To get the deterministic model of the universe, we assume that the eigenvalue （σ^11） of shear tensor （σ^ii） is proportional to expansion （θ）. This leads to A = （BC）^n, where A, B, C are metric potentials and n is a constant. To discuss the results in terms of cosmic time t, we have considered n = 1. The physical and geometrical aspects＇ of the models and singularities in the models are also discussed.

Drivers and barriers to energy-efficient technologies(EETs)in EU residential buildings

To achieve carbon targets,the European Union(EU)aims to promote nearly zero-energy buildings(nZEB).To enable the necessary transition,technical solutions need to converge with socio-economic factors,such values and awareness of stakeholders involved in the decision-making *** this light,the aim of this paper is to characterise perceived drivers and barriers to nine energy-efficient technologies(EET),according to key decision-makers’and persuaders of the technology selection in the EU residential building *** are collected across eight EU countries,***(BE),Germany(DE),Spain(ES),France(FR),Italy(IT),Netherlands(NL),Poland(PL),and United Kingdom(UK).The stakeholders’selected are architects,construction companies,engineers,installers and demand-side *** from a multi-country survey is analysed to calculate the share of 15 drivers and 21 barriers(aggregated to 5 groups),being selected for each EET and *** 5 groups considered to analyse drivers and barriers are environmental,technical,economic,social,*** perceived barriers and drivers were further studied for their association across the countries using the Pearson’s Chi2 and a Cramer’s V *** results demonstrate that across all EETs and countries,the technical and economic driver groups are perceived to have the highest potential to increase the implementation rate of *** terms of barriers,economic aspects are seen as the foremost reason that EET are not scaling *** both drivers and barriers legal aspects are the least often *** overall the barrier groups show significant variation across countries compared to driver *** findings provide an evidence-basis to better understand arguments in favour and against specific EETs and,in this way,support policy makers and other interested parties to increase the market share of the selected solutions.

miRACA： A database for miRNAs associated with cancers and age related disorders （ARD）

BACKGROUND： With the given diversity and abundance of several targets of miRNAs, they functionally appear to interact with several elements of the multiple cellular networks to maintain physiologic homeostasis. They can function as tumor suppressors or oncogenes, whose under or overexpression has both diagnostic and prognostic significance in various cancers while being implicated as prospective regulators of age-related disorders （ARD） as well. Establishing a concatenate between ARD and cancers by looking into the insights of the shared miRNAs may have a practical relevance. METHODS： In the present work, we performed network analysis of miRNA-disease association and miRNA-target gene interaction to prioritize miRNAs that play significant roles in the manifestation of cancer as well as ARD. Also, we developed a repository that stores miRNAs common to both ARD and cancers along with their target genes. RESULTS： We have comprehensively curated all miRNAs that we found to be shared in both the diseases in the human genome and established a database, miRACA （Database for microRNAs Associated with Cancers and ARD） that currently houses information of 1648 miRNAs that are significantly associated with 38 variants supported with pertinent data. It has been made available online at http：//***/miraca/for easy retrieval and utilization of data by the scientific community. CONCLUSION： To the best of our knowledge, our database is the first attempt at compilation of such data. We believe this work may serve as a significant resource and facilitate the analysis of miRNA regulatory mechanisms shared between cancers and ARD to apprehend disease etiology.

Neurocysticercosis is the most common neuro-parasitosis caused by the larval stage of Taenia *** most common manifestations include seizures and *** abnormalities are relatively rare but depressive symptoms are frequent in patients with ***,mania as a presentation is relatively *** and the postpartum period are relatively vulnerable times and they can lead to reactivation of existing neurocysterci *** are discussing the case of a 23-year old female patient with neurocysticercosis leading to the reactivation of lesions in the peripartum and postpartum period leading to bipolar affective *** in the patient was seen with a combination of antipsychotics,antihelmintics,antiepileptics and steroids,along with improved radiological signs of neurocysterci *** neurocysticercosis is a common illness,its prevalence presenting as a manic episode is merely 2.6%and,hence,missed ***,it is important to rule out organic aetiology in patients even with a classic presentation of bipolar affective disorder and those having any other neurological symptoms and signs.
