Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the second most common genital malignancy in women and is the most lethal gynecological malignancy,with an estimated five-year survival rate of 39%.Despite efforts to develop an effective ovarian cancer screening method,60% of patients still present with advanced *** management using surgical cytoreduction to decrease the tumor load to aminimum,and intraperitoneal chemotherapy to eliminate microscopic disease on peritoneal surface,has the potential to greatly improve quality of life and to have an impact on survival in ovarian cancer *** achieving clinical remission after completion of initial treatment,most patients (60%) with advanced EOC will ultimately develop recurrent disease or show drug resistance;the eventual rate of curability is less than 30%.Given the poor outcome of women with advanced EOC,it is imperative to continue to explore novel therapies.

Diet of fish populations in posidonia oceanica meadows off the Island of Ischia (Gulf of Naples, Italy):

The gut contents of fish in three Posidonia oceanica meadows off the island of Ischia (Bay of Naples, Italy) were investigated. A total of 926 individual fish belonging to 28 species was sampled by bottom trawl in the leaf canopy. Labridae, Pomacentridae, scorpaenidae, and serranidae were the best represented families (41%, 38%, 8% and 6% of the total number of individuals, respectively). Of the 94 taxa detected in the gut contents, 42 were identified to the species level. The most common food items were decapod crustaceans (15% of the gut contents, on average), copepods (13%), amphipods (14%), brown fragments of P. oceanica (6%), and ostracods (6%). The most abundant species of labridae, symphodus ocellatus and s. rostratus, showed a broad spectrum of prey. This generalist feeding may positively influence their numerical abundance. seasonal variations in the diets of fish, also at prey-species level, were demonstrated. The fish taxon plays essentially a macro-carnivore trophic role. In the investigated seagrass meadows the main trophic fluxes start from plant detritus, macrophyta, and microphyta (as primary producers) towards crustacean decapods, copepods, ostracods, and gammarid amphipods (as secondary producers) to fish. A low recycling rate (4%) within the fish community was observed. Larger fish predators (e.g., sparidae), swimming over the leaf canopy, are the main exporters to adjacent coastal systems.

We really appreciated Geramizadeh, " Bile spillage and incidental gall bladder adenocarcinoma ", and sandstrom et al. ,"Bile spillage should be avoided in elective cholecystectomy " (1,2). Both papers have been recently published in HepatoBiliary surgery and Nutrition, 2019 (1,2). starting from an analysis of the recent paper by Horkoff et al. "Adverse outcomes after bile spillage in incidental gall bladder cancer " in Annals of surgery April 2019, they introduced a comprehensive discussion about epidemiology, diagnosis, therapy, prognostic factors and outcomes of incidental gallbladder cancer (1-3). They analyzed the possible risks related to bile spillage after cholecystectomy, in particular (1,2).

This paper discusses some methodological aspects for the production of susceptibility maps of slope instability developed within the CARG Project (Geological Cartography of Italy at 1:50,000 scale). It describes an example of a susceptibility map in the presence of low susceptibility, using database having zero or negligible cost, with the aim to test some methodologies that can be easily reproducible to get a first estimate of the landslide susceptibility on a wide area. Two statistical approaches have been applied: the non-parametric conditional analysis and the logistic analysis for rare events. The predictive ability obtained from the two methodologies, was evaluated by the success-prediction curves for the conditional analysis, and by the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (ROC), for the logistic model. The landslide susceptibility maps have been classified into four classes using both the Natural Breaks algorithm and the method proposed by Chung and Fabbri (2003). The paper considers the influence of these two classification methods on the quality of final results.

We report herein a new class of polystyrene-supported cinchona alkaloid amide catalysts for enantioselective allylation of various aldehydes using allyltrichlorosilane under both batch and continuous flow *** supported catalyst was synthesized using an environmentally benign coupling agent with a surfactant in aqueous *** batch conditions,consistently high yields and enantioselectivity were obtained for the allylation of aliphatic aldehydes with recycling and reuse of the catalyst for more than 10 ***,this catalytic system was successfully implemented into a packed bed flow reactor with similar efficiency and *** flow is a viable option,the batch methodology has better potential for application at a larger-scale setting upon the comparison of space-time yield and catalyst *** the sustainable synthesis and great recyclability of our polymeric catalyst,this methodology holds great potential for the large-scale delivery of valuable enantiopure homoallylic alcohols.

We read with pleasure papers by Cai et al. and Jia et al. published in HepatoBiliary surgery and Nutrition, 2018, Volume 7, Issue 2 and 4, respectively (1,2). Both papers introduced comprehensive up-to-date literature reviews on indications and patient selection, surgical instruments, techniques, and outcomes of laparoscopic liver resections (LLRs) (1,2). Papers mentioned final statements by 2008 Louisville statement and 2014 Morioka Consensus Conference (1,2). They stressed LLR non-inferiority to open procedures, in both minor and major liver resections as far as oncological and intraoperative/perioperative outcomes are concerned: reduced blood loss, lower postoperative morbidity and shorter length of hospitalization (1,2). such results were corroborated by recent meta-analyses (3,4). Furthermore, some previous limitations for LLR look like they have been recently overcome (1-5). For example, tumor size, patient's old age and high BMI are no longer limitations for LLR, as southampton Consensus guidelines suggested (5). Likewise, cirrhosis has been suggested as a further indication of LLR in highly selected patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and where it was performed by experienced surgeons (1-5).
