Molecular profiling of cell-surface proteins is a powerful strategy for precise cancer diagnosis.While mass cytometry(MC)enables synchronous detection of over 40 cellular parameters,its full potential in disease classification is challenged by the limited types of recognition probes currently available.In this work,we synthesize a panel of heavy isotopeconjugated aptamers to profile cancer-associated signatures on the surface of hematological malignancy(HM)cells.Based on 15 molecular signatures,we performed cell-surface profiling that allowed the precise classification of 8 HM cell lines.Combined with machine-learning technology,this aptamer-based MC platform also achieved multiclass identification of HM subtypes in clinical sampleswith 100%accuracy in the training cohort and 80%accuracy in the test cohort.Therefore,we report an effective and practical strategy for precise cancer classification at the singlecell level,paving the way for its clinical use in the near future.

Breaking efficiency limit of thermal concentrators by conductivity couplings

The concentrating efficiency of a thermal concentrator can be reflected in the ratio of its interior to exterior temperature gradients,which, however, has an upper limit in existing schemes. Here, we manage to break this upper limit by considering the couplings of thermal conductivities and improve the concentrating efficiency of thermal concentrators. For this purpose, we first discuss a monolayer scheme with an isotropic thermal conductivity, which can break the upper limit but is still restricted by its geometric configuration. To go further, we explore another degree of freedom by considering the monolayer scheme with an anisotropic thermal conductivity or by adding the second shell with an isotropic thermal conductivity, thereby making the concentrating efficiency completely free from the geometric configuration. Nevertheless, apparent negative thermal conductivities are required, and we resort to external heat sources realizing the same effect without violating the second law of thermodynamics. Finite-element simulations are performed to confirm the theoretical predictions, and experimental suggestions are also provided to improve feasibility. These results may have potential applications for thermal camouflage and provide guidance to other diffusive systems such as static magnetic fields and dc current fields for achieving similar behaviors.

The curved space-time produced by black holes leads to the intriguing trapping effect.So far,metadevices have enabled analogous black holes to trap light or sound in laboratory spacetime.However,trapping heat in a conductive environment is still challenging because diffusive behaviors are directionless.Inspired by black holes,we construct graded heat-conduction metadevices to achieve thermal trapping,resorting to the imitated advection produced by graded thermal conductivities rather than the trivial solution of using insulation materials to confine thermal diffusion.We experimentally demonstrate thermal trapping for guiding hot spots to diffuse towards the center.Graded heat-conduction metadevices have advantages in energy-efficient thermal regulation because the imitated advection has a similar temperature field effect to the realistic advection that is usually driven by external energy sources.These results also provide an insight into correlating transformation thermotics with other disciplines,such as cosmology,for emerging heat control schemes.

Chameleonlike metashells in microfluidics: A passive approach to adaptive responses

Heat energy can transfer via convection, conduction, and radiation. Based on convection and conduction in microfluidics, people have designed and fabricated many novel devices. However, almost none of them has adaptivity, thus restricting practical applications under different conditions. To solve this problem, here we propose a passive approach to adaptive responses. That is,we consider the thermal convection-conduction process in microfluidic structures where Darcy’s law and Fourier’s law are both valid. By carefully designing two key parameters(i.e., tensorial thermal conductivity and tensorial permeability) of a metashell,we theoretically reveal that its effective properties(i.e., effective thermal conductivity and effective permeability) can adaptively change according to the inside object, thus yielding the "chameleonlike metashell". Further, this metashell is passive since it requires no prior knowledge of the inside object. We also report that the chameleonlike behavior can occur for anisotropic inside objects, nonuniform external fields, or even complex shapes. All theoretical analyses agree well with finite-element simulations.The chameleonlike metashell can act as an intelligent metamaterial in microfluidics for its adaptive responses, and it can also benefit other physical fields where convection plays a role, such as mass diffusion.

Negative Thermal Transport in Conduction and Advection

Negative refractive index has drawn a great deal of attention due to its unique properties and practical applications in wave systems.To promote the related physics in thermotics,here we manage to coin a complex thermal conductivity whose imaginary part corresponds to the real part of complex refractive index.Therefore,the thermal counterpart of negative refractive index is just negative imaginary thermal conductivity,which is featured by the opposite directions of energy flow and wave vector in thermal conduction and advection,thus called negative thermal transport herein.To avoid violating causality,we design an open system with energy exchange and explore three different cases to reveal negative thermal transport.We further provide experimental suggestions with a solid ring structure.All finite-element simulations agree with theoretical analyses,indicating that negative thermal transport is physically feasible.These results have potential applications such as designing the inverse Doppler effect in thermal conduction and advection.

目的采用双能CT不同螺距宝石能谱成像(GSI)模式观察能量、螺距和迭代重建(IR)算法对CT值和有效原子序数(Z_(eff))测值的影响。方法采用双能CT GSI模式扫描由聚四氟乙烯(Teflon)、空气(Air)、低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)及丙烯酸(Acrylic)构成的Catphan500标准体模,设定螺距为1.375、0.984及0.516,分别以混合权重为20%、60%和100%的IR重建图像;记录体模各种材料在3个能量水平下(60、73和80 keV)的CT值及Z_(eff),计算并比较其在不同单能量、螺距及IR权重下的平均相对误差(MRE-CT值和MRE-Z_(eff))。结果所有能量、螺距和IR权重下,MRE-CT值均为Air0.05)。所有螺距和IR权重下,MRE-Z_(eff)均为Acrylic0.05)。结论GSI扫描参数对不同材料的影响程度不同;CT值和Z_(eff)测量精度受螺距影响而与IR强度无明显相关;能量水平仅影响测量CT值精度。

目的观察引入靶区外扩预测放射治疗(放疗)中自动分割危及器官(OAR)的平均剂量偏差的价值。方法将100例接受放疗的直肠癌患者随机分为训练集(n=30)和测试集(n=70)。对训练集手动分割CT图中的靶区,之后分别对膀胱、小肠和双侧股骨头4个OAR进行手动和自动分割。根据自动分割的OAR设计放疗计划,得到对应的剂量分布;利用Python程序统计每个OAR与靶区外扩环重叠区域内的剂量平均值,以之作为代表剂量,用于预测测试集手动与自动分割平均剂量的差异,比较预测平均剂量与实际平均剂量的差异。再次随机将100例分为训练集、测试集各50例,重复上述过程。结果首次预测显示,测试集70例中,69例膀胱预测与实际剂量差异均<0.5 Gy,69例小肠预测与实际剂量差异均<3 Gy,全部70例双侧股骨头预测与实际剂量差异均<0.5 Gy;对于膀胱、小肠和左、右侧股骨头,预测与实际平均剂量差异的一致性相关系数(CCC)分别为0.96、0.86、0.81和0.69。第2次预测显示,测试集50例中,46例膀胱的预测与实际剂量差异均<0.5 Gy,49例小肠的预测和实际剂量差异均<3 Gy,所有病例双侧股骨头的预测和实际剂量差异均<0.5 Gy;对于膀胱、小肠和左、右侧股骨头,预测与实际平均剂量差异的CCC分别为0.97、0.90、0.82和0.78。结论引入靶区外扩可有效预测直肠癌放疗中自动分割OAR产生的剂量偏差。

新村煤业15301回风顺槽过F19断层期间揭露断层破碎带,巷道支护困难,矿压显现明显,对后续回采期间巷道的安全使用带来较大隐患。通过对F19断层进行超前探测验证分析,结合现场实揭地质条件,采用超前管棚密集挺顶及预注浆对断层影响范围的顶板破碎带进行超前控制,采用锚网索喷联合支护对巷道围岩进行加强支护。实践表明,该支护设计能够有效控制巷道围岩变形量,可满足15301回风顺槽过断层破碎带安全掘进需要及15031工作面回采期间巷道使用要求。

目的研究放疗中碳纤维治疗床对患者剂量分布的影响。方法测量射野点剂量得到碳纤维治疗床对射线的衰减,并依此在计划系统Monaco中进行治疗床的建模。选择2019年5月至12月于复旦大学附属中山医院接受放疗的5例鼻咽癌、5例直肠癌和5例椎体转移患者,在放疗计划系统Monaco中分析添加治疗床前后患者剂量分布的变化,并对这15例的剂量验证结果进行比较分析。结果通过比较Monaco计算与实测的治疗床衰减确定Monaco中的治疗床模型。添加该模型后,鼻咽癌、直肠癌和椎体转移病例的Gamma3mm/3%验证通过率平均增加0.32%、0.26%和2.06%。治疗床对靶区剂量影响最大的是椎体转移,衰减最大处达处方量的5%左右;其次是直肠癌,少量点达4%左右;对鼻咽癌的影响最小,衰减基本在3%之内。射线穿过治疗床可引起皮肤剂量的增加,对鼻咽癌,皮肤剂量增加最大约为处方量的8%;对部分直肠癌和椎体转移病例,皮肤剂量增加高达16%。结论治疗床会引起靶区剂量的减少和皮肤剂量的增加。
