Apple leaf spot,caused by the Alternaria alternata apple pathotype(AAAP),is an important fungal disease of apple.To understand the molecular basis of resistance and pathogenesis in apple leaf spot,the transcriptomes of two apple cultivars‘Hanfu'(HF)(resistant)and‘Golden Delicious'(GD)(susceptible)were analyzed at 0,6,18,24 and 48 h after AAAP inoculation by RNA-Seq.At each time point,a large number of significantly differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened between AAAP-inoculated and uninoculated apple leaves.Analysis of the common DEGs at four time points revealed significant differences in the resistance of‘HF'and‘GD'apple to AAAP infection.RLP,RNL,and JA signal-related genes were upregulated in both cultivars to restrict AAAP development.However,genes encoding CNLs,TNLs,WRKYs,and AP2s were only activated in‘HF'as part of the resistance response,of which,some play major roles in the regulation of ET and SA signal transduction.Further analysis showed that many DEGs with opposite expression trends in the two hosts may play important regulatory roles in response to AAAP infection.Transient expression of one such gene MdERF110 in‘GD'apple leaves improved AAAP resistance.Collectively,this study highlights the reasons for differential resistance to AAAP infection between‘HF'and‘GD'apples which can theoretically assist the molecular breeding of disease-resistant apple crops.

Low-power, flexible, and integrated photodetectors have attracted increasing attention due to their potential applications of photosensing, astronomy, communications, wearable electronics, etc. Herein, the samples of ZnO microwires having p-type(Sb-doped ZnO, ZnO:Sb) and n-type(Ga-doped ZnO, ZnO:Ga) conduction properties were synthesized individually. Sequentially, a p-n homojunction vertical structure photodiode involving a single ZnO:Sb microwire crossed with a ZnO:Ga microwire, which can detect ultraviolet light signals, was constructed.

Li-CO_(2)batteries are among the most intriguing techniques for balancing the carbon cycle,but are challenged by the annoyed thermodynamic barrier of the Li_(2)CO_(3)decomposition reaction.Herein,we demonstrate the electrocatalytic performances of two-dimensional(2D)CoAl-layer double hydroxide(LDH)nanosheets can be significantly improved by trans-dimensional crosslinking with three-dimensional(3D)multilevel nanoporous(MP)-RuCoAl alloy(MP-RuCoAl alloy⊥CoAl-LDH).The MP-RuCoAl alloy⊥CoAl-LDH with multiscale pore channels and abundant nano-heterointerface is directly prepared by controllable etching Al from a Ru-Co-Al master alloy along with simultaneous partial oxidization of Al and Co atoms.The MP-RuCoAl is composed of various intermetallic compounds and Ru with abundant grain boundaries,and forms numerous heterointerface with 2D CoAl-LDH nanosheets.The multiscale porous metallic network benefits mass and electron transportation as well as discharge product storage and enables a rich multiphase reaction interface.In situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry shows that the mass-to-charge ratio in the charging process is~0.733 which is consistent with the theoretical value of 3/4,stating that the reversible co-decomposition of Li_(2)CO_(3)and C can be achieved with the MP-RuCoAl alloy⊥CoAl-LDH.The Ketjen black(KB)/MP-RuCoAl⊥CoAl-LDH battery demonstrates a high cyclability for over 2270 h(227 cycles)with a lower voltage gap stabilized at~1.3 V at 200 mA·g^(−1).Our findings here provide useful guidelines for developing high efficiency transition metal based electrocatalysts by coupling with conductive porous substrate for impelling the development of practical Li-CO_(2)battery systems.

Comprehensive reutilization of herbal waste:Coproduction of magnolol,honokiol,and β-amyrin from Magnolia officinalis residue

Herbal extraction residues(HERs)cause serious environmental pollution and resource waste.In this study,a novel green route was designed for the comprehensive reutilization of all components in HERs,taking Magnolia officinalis residues(MOR)as an example.The reluctant structure of MOR was first destroyed by alkali pretreatment to release the functional ingredients(magnolol and honokiol)originally remaining in MOR and to make MOR more accessible for hydrolysis.A metal–organic frame material MIL-101(Cr)with a maximum absorption capacity of 255.64 mg g^(-1)was synthesized to absorb the released honokiol and magnolol from the pretreated MOR solutions,and 40 g L^(-1)reducing sugars were obtained with 81.8%enzymatic hydrolysis rate at 10%MOR solid loading.Finally,382 mg L-1β-amyrin was produced from MOR hydrolysates by an engineered yeast strain.In total,1 kg honokiol,8 kg magnolol,and 7.64 kg β-amyrin could produce from 1 ton MOR by this cleaner process with a total economic output of 170,700 RMB.

In recent years, there has been considerable attention and research on the higher-order interactions that are prevalent in various real-world networks. Hypergraphs, especially in the study of complex systems, are proved effective in capturing these interactions. To better characterize the model in reality, this paper proposes a theoretical model of node interdependent percolation in multiplex hypergraphs, considering “weak” interdependence. The proposed model includes pairwise and higher-order interactions, where the removal of nodes triggers cascading failures. However, interdependent nodes connected to failed nodes experience partial loss of connections due to “weak” interdependence, reflecting the self-sustaining capabilities of real-world systems. Percolation theory is applied to the analysis to investigate the properties of the percolation threshold and phase transition. Both analysis and simulation results show that as the strength of interdependence between nodes weakens, the network transitions from a discontinuous to a continuous phase, thereby increasing its robustness.

Mutation of the MAPK7 gene was related to human scoliosis.Mapk7 regulated the development of limb bones and skulls in mice.However,the role of MAPK7 in vertebral development is still unclear.In this study,we constructed Col2a1-cre;Mapk7 f/f transgenic mouse model to delete Mapk7 in cartilage,which displayed kyphosis and osteopenia.Mechanistically,Mapk7 loss decreased MEF2C expression and thus activated PTEN to oppose PI3K/AKT signaling in vertebral growth plate chondrocytes,which impaired chondrocyte hypertrophy and attenuated vertebral ossification.In vivo,systemic pharmacological activation of AKT rescued impaired chondrocyte hypertrophy and alleviated mouse vertebral defects caused by Mapk7 deficiency.Our study firstly clarified the mechanism by which MAPK7 was involved in vertebral development,which might contribute to understanding the pathology of spinal deformity and provide a basis for the treatment of developmental disorders of the spine.

Effects of In-video Questions and Feedback on Learning Performance

The eye-tracking technology was used in this study to investigate the effects of embedded questions and feedback in instructional videos on learning performance and attention allocation and whether an expertise reversal effect existed.The experiment involved 49 learners with high-level prior knowledge and 45 ones with low-level prior knowledge from a university.Meanwhile,they learned instructional videos with no embedded feedback,embedded questions without feedback and embedded questions with feedback.Findings from the experiment showed that the instructional videos with embedded questions but without feedback not only improved the participants’attention but also enhanced their learning performance.Furthermore,there was an expertise reversal effect on the learning performance whereby instructional videos with embedded questions but without feedback improved the learning performance of learners with low-level prior knowledge,but not those with high-level prior knowledge.

Non-agricultural Population, Employment and Land:An Econometric Study in an Integrated Framework

This paper explored the relationships among non-agricultural population, employment and land in an integrated framework, taking account of rural-urban land conversion into Carlino-Mills's model on the regional growth. Two-stage-least-squares and ordinary-least-squares were employed. Recent data for district (grade) cities in China (from 1999 to 2005) were used. Our results showed that: first, urban population in-fluenced non-agricultural employment, and vice versa, but the evidence that non-agricultural employment influenced urban population was stronger than the evidence that urban population influenced non-agricultural employment; second, urban popula-tion and nonagricultural employment both influenced rural-urban land conversion, but the evidence that urban population influenced rural urban land conversion was more stronger than the evidence that non-agricultural employment did. We also found that: first, the employment from the secondary industry influenced urban population in a positive way, and vice versa, but the employment from the tertiary industry influenced urban population in a negative way, and vice versa; second, the em-ployment from the secondary industry influenced rural-urban land conversion in a positive way, but the employment from the tertiary industry influenced rural-urban land conversion in a negative way. We can conclude that the key of urbanization is to speed up the process of non-agricultural employment, espe-cially the employment from the tertiary industry, which might promote non-agricultural population, employment and land har-moniously.

数据作为新型生产要素的价值越发凸显,会推动新质生产力的形成。数据要素通过自身作用及与其他生产要素融合发生作用,并渗透在生产、流通、消费、分配等社会生产过程,不仅在国内发挥出数据乘数效应,还通过跨境数据流通发挥出开放乘数作用,会显著地催生新质劳动资料、孕育新质劳动对象、创造新质劳动力,进而推动新质生产力涌现。然而,数据要素发展面临诸多障碍,如有效供给不足、市场化缓慢、科技创新不足、规范化偏弱、数字劳动力供给不足等问题,都在影响并制约着新质生产力的实现。为此,建议加强数据要素市场开发、推进数据要素市场化、加快数据规则规范构建、加快数据高质量人才培育,以期充分发挥出数据要素赋能效应,助力新质生产力的生成与发展。

目的探究高剂量维生素D补充剂对绝经后骨质疏松症患者骨代谢标志物、骨密度的影响。方法选取2021年2月至2022年2月淄博市临淄区妇幼保健院(齐都医院)妇科治疗的120例绝经后骨质疏松症患者作为研究对象,按照随机数字表法分为对照组(60例)和观察组(60例)。对照组采用口服维生素D治疗,观察组在对照组基础上注射维生素D针剂治疗,比较两组骨代谢标志物和骨密度。结果观察组治疗3、6、12个月后血清Ⅰ型胶原羧基端肽β特殊序列、Ⅰ型前胶原氨基端肽水平均低于对照组(P<0.05);观察组各部位骨密度均高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论绝经后骨质疏松症患者补充高剂量维生素D可有效减少体内的骨量流失,改善骨代谢水平,提高骨密度。
