This paper presents the fresh and hardened properties of high-strength concrete comprising byproduct fine crushed aggregates(FCAs)sourced from the crushing of three different types of rocks,namely granophyre,basalt,and *** lowest void contents of the combined fine aggregates were observed when 40%to 60%of natural sand is replaced by the *** the replacement of 40%FCAs,the slump and bleeding of concrete with a water-to-cement ratio of 0.45 decreased by approximately 15%and 50%,respectively,owing to the relatively high fines content of the *** 28 d compressive strength of concrete was 50 MPa when 40%FCAs were *** slight decrease in tensile strength from the FCAs is attributed to the flakiness of the *** correlations between the splitting tensile and compressive strengths of normal concrete provided in the AS 3600 and ACI 318 design standards are applicable for concrete using the FCAs as partial replacement of *** maximum 56 d drying shrinkage is 520 microstrains,which is significantly less than the recommended limit of 1000 microstrains by AS 3600 for ***,the use of these byproduct FCAs can be considered as a sustainable alternative option for the production of high-strength green concrete.

Juri is a biodiversity-rich primary forest in Bangladesh, which remains ecologically unexplored. We identified tree species and examined the richness, alpha（a）diversity and floristic similarity patterns within the identified communities. Vegetation and environmental data were sampled in 120（0.04 ha） study plots. Tree communities were delimited by two-way indicator species analysis（TWINSPAN）. In total, 78 tree species of 35 families and58 genera were identified. TWINSPAN identified six tree communities： A—Tricalysia singularis; B—Kydia calycina-Castanopsis tribuloides; C—Polyalthia simiarum-Duabanga grandiflora; D—Ficus roxburghii; E—Artocarpus lacucha; F—Artocarpus lacucha. Mean richness, Shannon and Gini-Simpson indices were highest for the Polyalthia simiarum-Duabanga grandiflora community, while Ficus roxburghii showed lowest diversity. Significant differences（p = 0.05） in three diversity indices were recorded between Polyalthia simiarum-Duabanga grandiflora and Ficus roxburghii. Tree compositional similarity was greatest between Kydia calycina-Castanopsis tribuloides and Polyalthia simiarum-Duabanga grandiflora（0.712）.

In this paper,numerical analyses of fluid flow around the ship hulls such as Series 60,the Kriso Container Ship(KCS),and catamaran advancing in calm water,are presented.A commercial computational fluid dynamic(CFD)code,STAR-CCM+is used to analyze total resistance,sinkage,trim,wave profile,and wave pattern for a range of Froude *** governing RANS equations of fluid flow are discretized using the finite volume method(FVM),and the pressure-velocity coupling equations are solved using the SIMPLE(semi-implicit method for pressure linked equations)*** of fluid(VOF)method is employed to capture the interface between air and water phases.A fine discretization is performed in between these two phases to get a higher mesh *** fluid-structure interaction(FSI)is modeled with the dynamic fluid-body interaction(DFBI)module within the STAR-CCM+.The numerical results are verified using the results available in the *** convergence studies are also carried out to determine the dependence of results on the grid *** comparison to previous findings,the current CFD analysis shows the satisfactory results.

Flood is the most devastating disaster in the present world which causes damage to environmental, social, economical and human lives at about 43% of all natural disasters. There are many flood hazard occurs in Bangladesh during the 19th century and 20th century in the different regions. These flood hazards have more catastrophic damages of huge area within human lives and other necessary properties of Bangladesh. The first step of flood management is to evaluate the area which is under threat of flood disaster. In this study here showed the importance of Remote Sensing (RS) data and Geographic Information System (GIS) tools to manage the flood related problems. Remote Sensing (RS) data and Geographic Information System (GIS) provide a lot of information to flood disaster management. ArcView GIS software tools are used for digitizing the base map and to create a flood risk zone of Kurigram, Bangladesh where images of remote sensing can be helped to determine the flood inundation areas. The integrated application of RS and GIS techniques for monitoring and flood mapping provides information for the decision makers. The study also grows attentions the need of cost-efficient methodology by creating a flood vulnerable map of Bangladesh.

Objective:To establish ultrasound guided testicular fine needle aspiration (TFNA) as well as to assess the effectiveness of uni-directional (UD) and multi-directional (MD) TFNA in buck according to testicular cells, echotexture and gross changes of testicle, age of buck was ***:A total of 120 samples were collected with both directions (UD, n=60) and (MD,n=60) suction from testis of 10 apparently healthy bucks. All slides were stained with May-Grünwald-Giemsa and examined under light microscope with 1000× magnifications to count spermatogenic cells, spermatozoa and sertoli cells. The percentage of spermatozoa and sertoli cells were expressed as spermatic index and sertoli cell ***:Results revealed no difference in the presence of various spermatogenic and sertoli cells in cell cluster of slides made either unidirectional TFNA or multidirectional TFNA. Early spermatids were the most numerous, followed by late spermatids, primary spermatocytes, spermatogonia. Sertoli cell index was higher in TFNA smears of young bucks prepared from (7-13 mo) of age and spermatic index was higher in adult bucks (14-24 mo) of age. No echogenic change was observed in the echotexture of testisafter ***: It seems that TFNA has no serious ill effect on the buck testis when uni-direction aspiration is performed. Moreover, the possibility to standardize this method might provide a greater impulse to the clinical diagnostics of male animal infertility.

The study aims to afford a deeper knowledge on reproductive biology of Mystus bleekeri from Surma River,Bangladesh in a multidisciplinary ***,the species is in demand as food and ornamental fish in Bangladesh but still now comprehensive details on reproductive biology of this species is *** 600 fish samples were derived from commercial catches from July 2018 to June *** differences in sex ratio,size distribution,condition factor(Kn),fecundity,gonadosomatic index and gonadal maturation cycle were *** results showed 384(64%)female and 216(36%)male with an overall sex ratio of 1.77:1(female:male).Mean total length(TL)and body weight(BW)of all fish studied were 14.85±3.38 cm TL and 27.54±15.76 g,*** Kn varied with length groups,the highest(1.45±0.23)and lowest(0.89±0.18)values obtained in 16.0-16.9 and 10.0-10.9 cm TL groups,*** highest Kn was documented in October while the lowest was in *** GSI values showed two peaks in July and November for both the *** fecundity was found to vary from 1120 to 14790 eggs with average value of 4968±3047 with 14.4-18.3 cm in TL and 19.97-34.7g in *** relationship of fecundity with TL and BW was F=1.385TL13.405,r^(2)=0.885 and F=5.201BW^(4.827),r^(2)=*** behavior of spawning together with allochronic oocytes development has also been found through *** results of this study could be used for predicting the response of populations of fish in Surma River and/or other where to human interferences and environmental change.

目的:探讨植物乳杆菌KLDS 1.0318对小鼠免疫调节功能的影响。方法:将健康的BALB/c小鼠随机分为4组,即正常对照组、乳酸菌低剂量组、乳酸菌中剂量组、乳酸菌高剂量组。灌胃不同剂量植物乳杆菌KLDS 1.0318菌悬液后,分别测定各组脾脏指数和胸腺指数,脾淋巴细胞增殖、NK细胞活性、巨噬细胞能量代谢水平,巨噬细胞吞噬能力。结果:与正常对照组相比,植物乳杆菌KLDS 1.0318中、高剂量组能够显著提高小鼠的脾脏和胸腺指数,同时能够促进脾淋巴细胞增殖,增强小鼠NK细胞活性,提高小鼠巨噬细胞吞噬中性红能力及其能量代谢水平。结论:植物乳杆菌KLDS 1.0318可以通过促进机体的特异性免疫和非特异性免疫功能来增强机体的免疫作用。

Optimum Conditions for Bioethanol Production from Potato of Bangladesh

Bangladesh produces a huge amount of potatoes every year. This research was carried out to find the optimum conditions for bioethanol production from potato of Bangladesh. From this study, optimum growth of yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae CCD) was observed at pH 6.0 and temperature 31°C. Addition of a small amount of alpha-amylase enzyme to potato solution was found to enhance the potato starch degradation and made the fermentation process quicker. This study observed that 1750 unit alpha-amylase is enough to degrade the starch in 15% of 500 ml potato starch solution. From fermentation time study, 6-day incubation time was found to be enough to complete the fermentation process and optimum production of bioethanol form potato starch. Suitable concentration of potato in fermentation process was determined using five different potato solutions (5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 30%). A highest production of bioethanol was found in ?20% potato treatment. Therefore, 20% potato solution is recommended for high-scale production of bioethanol from potato starch.
