Carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (CFRP) have excellent specific strength and rigidity, which has made them a popular material for lightweight construction. the growing demand for fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) leads to the problem of the sustainable handling of FRP at the end of their life cycle. the aim of the research project was to gain knowledge about the shredding of FRP concerning the optimal machine and process design of the shredding process and the possible formation of harmful, inhalable dust fractions and WHO fibers. toxicity should be investigated at the cellular level. the investigated shredding parameters influence the amount and length of fiber dust produced, both when shredding with a cutting mill and when shredding with a single-shaft shredder. In all investigations, an increasing rotational speed leads to an increase in the fiber dust mass or the fiber concentration. the proportion of short, respirable fibers increases, but raising the speed does not lead to a further, significant shortening of the fibers. A reduction in feedstock size leads to a slightly reduced mass of fiber dust in the ground material. A reduction in the screen size also leads to an increase in fiber dust mass and concentration. there was no recognizable cytotoxicity in the relevant concentration range up to 500 μg/cm2 and no significant induction of cell migration. this indicates minor flammable effects of the dust formed after inhalation. the biological data indicate that the WHO fibers produced by shredding are only a minor health hazard. Formally, the detected carbon fiber (CF) fragments meet the fiber definition of the legislator. However, carbon fibers currently have no specific limit value.

Peanut allergy is majorly related to severe food induced allergic *** food including cow's milk,hen's eggs,soy,wheat,peanuts,tree nuts(walnuts,hazelnuts,almonds,cashews,pecans and pistachios),fish and shellfish are responsible for more than 90%of food ***,we provide promising insights using a large-scale data-driven analysis,comparing the mechanistic feature and biological relevance of different ingredients presents in peanuts,tree nuts(walnuts,almonds,cashews,pecans and pistachios)and ***,we have analysed the chemical compositions of peanuts in different processed form raw,boiled and *** the data-driven approach we are able to generate new hypotheses to explain why nuclear receptors like the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors(PPARs)and its isoform and their interaction with dietary lipids may have significant effect on allergic *** results obtained from this study will direct future experimeantal and clinical studies to understand the role of dietary lipids and PPARisoforms to exert pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory functions on cells of the innate immunity and influence antigen presentation to the cells of the adaptive immunity.

Exploring innovative synthetic solutions for advanced polymer-based electrochromic energy storage devices:Phenoxazine as a promising chromophore

the current investigation offers an innovative synthetic solution regarding electrochromic(EC)and energy storage applications by exploring phenoxazine(POZ)***,three POZ-based polymers(polyimide,polyazomethine,and polyamide)were synthesized to ascertain the superior *** polyamide exhibited remarkable attributes,including high redox stability during 500 repetitive CVs,optical contrast of 61.98%,rapid response times of 1.02 and 1.38 s for coloring and bleaching,EC efficiency of 280 cm^(2)C^(-1).and decays of the optical density and EC efficiency of only 12.18%and 6.23%after 1000 ***,the energy storage performance of polyamide PA was tested,for which the following parameters were obtained:74.7 F g^(-1)(CV,scan rate of 10 mV s^(-1))and 118 F g^(-1)(GCD,charging current of 0.1 A g^(-1)).then,the polyamide was tested in EES devices,which yielded the following EC parameters:an optical contrast of 62.15%,response times of 9.24 and 5.01 s for coloring and bleaching,EC efficiency of 178 cm^(2)C^(-1),and moderate decays of 20.25%and 23.24%for the optical density and EC efficiency after 500 *** energy storage performance included a capacitance of 106 F g^(-1)(CV,scan rate of 0.1 mV s^(-1))and 9.23 F g^(-1)(GCD,charging current of 0.1 A g^(-1)),capacitance decay of 11.9%after500 cycles,and 1.7 V retention after 2 ***,two EES devices connected in series powered a 3 V LED for almost 30 s.

Does ash dieback affect the reproductive ecology of Fraxinus excelsior L.?

Forest tree species reproduction is a key factor in maintaining the genetic diversity of future generations and the stability of forest *** ongoing ash dieback disease could affect the reproductive ecology of Fraxinus excelsior *** have a major impact on the quantity and quality of pollen and *** this study,we investigated pollen production and viability of pollen and seeds of ash trees with different health status from 2018 to *** were collected from 105 trees(pollen production),pollen from 125 trees(pollen viability),and seeds from 53 trees(seed quality)in two seed orchards and in one floodplain forest in southern *** all parameters were examined at every site every *** average pollen production per tree was estimated at 471.2±647.9 billion pollen *** addition,we found that a high number of inflorescences did not equate to high pollen production per *** production of healthy and diseased trees did not differ significantly,although only 47%of severely diseased male trees(vs.72%for healthy trees)produced *** regards to pollen viability,the ttC test showed an average viability of 73%±17%.Overall,there was a slight tendency for diseased trees to have less viable ***,a significant difference could only be calculated for trees in the floodplain *** percentage of germinable seeds in 2018 was 38%in the floodplain forest and 57%in one of the seed *** percentage of viable seeds(ttC test)ranged from 17 to 22%in the orchards in ***-viable seeds were usually heavily infested by *** general,seed quality was not significantly different between healthy and diseased *** results indicate that ash dieback affects flower formation and pollen viability but not pollen production or seed ***,the fact that hardly any flowering was observed,especially for trees that were seriously affected,suggests a negative effect of ash dieback on reproductive per

Island ecosystems support diverse aquatic invertebrate communities comprising endemic *** of existing species is important for *** this study,a checklist of marine opisthobranch from the Republic of Mauritius is presented.A combination of benthic surveys(50 m×5 m in triplicates),rover diving techniques and photo documentation were used over two years(2018–2020)within 35 sheltered and unsheltered *** and molecular analysis were used for *** composition within sheltered and unsheltered areas in Mauritius was estimated using the Bray-Curtis *** checklist featured 117 species belonging to 61 genera and 28families,of which 13 are new *** findings increased the knowledge of opisthobranch diversity from the Mauritius by 15.4%.Among the listed species,the distribution range of Cyerce nigra,Actinocyclus papillatus,and Phyllidia picta extended from the Western Pacific to the South Western Indian *** analysis of the undescribed Gymnodoris *** it resembled Gymnodoris *** Hawaii and were different by a genetic distance value of 10.6%.the species richness and evenness were higher within the sheltered regions of Mauritius which harboured the food resource of *** areas as compared to unsheltered regions were heavily populated,suggesting the probable influence of wave actions on opisthobranch diversity and *** order Nudibranchia was reported as most speciose,with 86 *** Sacoglossa and Nudibranchia were observed only on macroalgae and sponges *** abundance was also recorded on shipwrecks which are the most common form of artificial *** the inclusion of observations from previous studies,201species belonging to 94 genera and 36 families are now known from the Mauritius.

Skin-to-skin contact(SSC)consists of positioning the diaper-clad infant against the parent’s chest and is considered a nursing practice rooted in family-centered care(FCC).1 SSC implies simultaneous parental presence and helps to facilitate their involvement from the earliest hours of their preterm infants’lives as this intervention is delivered by parents.1 FCC has gained worldwide popularity in recent years to promote parental presence and active participation of parents in care during neonatal intensive care units(NICUs)hospitalization.2 Both practices relate to developmental care(DC),which regroups specific interventions aimed at reducing stress and improving infant neurological development.

thermomechanical Dynamics (tMD) and Bifurcation-Integration Solutions in Nonlinear Differential Equations with time-Dependent Coefficients

the new independent solutions of the nonlinear differential equation with time-dependent coefficients (NDE-tC) are discussed, for the first time, by employing experimental device called a drinking bird whose simple back-and-forth motion develops into water drinking motion. the solution to a drinking bird equation of motion manifests itself the transition from thermodynamic equilibrium to nonequilibrium irreversible states. the independent solution signifying a nonequilibrium thermal state seems to be constructed as if two independent bifurcation solutions are synthesized, and so, the solution is tentatively termed as the bifurcation-integration solution. the bifurcation-integration solution expresses the transition from mechanical and thermodynamic equilibrium to a nonequilibrium irreversible state, which is explicitly shown by the nonlinear differential equation with time-dependent coefficients (NDE-tC). the analysis established a new theoretical approach to nonequilibrium irreversible states, thermomechanical dynamics (tMD). the tMD method enables one to obtain thermodynamically consistent and time-dependent progresses of thermodynamic quantities, by employing the bifurcation-integration solutions of NDE-tC. We hope that the basic properties of bifurcation-integration solutions will be studied and investigated further in mathematics, physics, chemistry and nonlinear sciences in general.

the thermoelectric energy conversion technique by employing the Disk-Magnet Electromagnetic Induction (DM-EMI) is examined in detail, and possible applications to heat engines as one of the energy-harvesting technologies are discussed. the idea is induced by the analysis of thermomechanical dynamics (tMD) for a nonequilibrium irreversible thermodynamic system of heat engines, such as a drinking bird and a low temperature Stirling engine, resulting in thermoelectric energy generation different from conventional heat engines. the current thermoelectric energy conversion with DM-EMI can be applied to wide ranges of machines and temperature differences. the mechanism of DM-EMI energy converter is categorized as the axial flux generator (AFG), which is the reason why the technology is applicable to sensitive thermoelectric conversions. On the other hand, almost all the conventional turbines use the radius flux generator to extract huge electric power, which uses the radial flux generator (RFG). the axial flux generator is helpful for a low mechanoelectric energy conversion and activations of waste heat from macroscopic energy generators such as wind, geothermal, thermal, nuclear power plants and heat-dissipation lines. the technique of DM-EMI will contribute to solving environmental problems to maintain clean and sustainable energy as one of the energy harvesting technologies.
