High temperature electrochemical energy conversion and storage technologies,such as solid oxide electrochemical cells (sOCs),have emerged as promising alternatives to mitigate environmental issues associated with combustion-based *** has been increased interest for nanoengineering sOC electrodes to enhance their efficiency.A major drive is the necessity for improved electrode kinetics via optimization of electrocatalysts for different key reactions in these *** this perspective,we discuss the requirements for sOC electrodes and nanoengineering strategies employed to achieve flexibility in electrode *** focus on identifying ways in which these nanoengineered materials foster advancements in the sOC electrocatalytic activity,selectivity,and *** conclude by proposing approaches that would lead to more stable electrocatalytic nanostructures with high degree of control over the number and nature of active *** nanostructures would enable systematic kinetic studies that could provide an in depth understanding of the reaction mechanisms that govern performance,leading to valuable knowledge for designing optimal electrode materials.

supporting group decision-making in ubiquitous contexts is a complex task that must deal with a large amount of factors to succeed. Here we propose an approach for an intelligent negotiation model to support the group decision-making process specifically designed for ubiquitous contexts. Our approach can be used by researchers that intend to include arguments, complex algorithms, and agents' modeling in a negotiation model. It uses a social networking logic due to the type of communication employed by the agents and it intends to support the ubiquitous group decision-making process in a similar way to the real process, which simultaneously preserves the amount and quality of intelligence generated in face-to-face meetings. We propose a new look into this problem by considering and defining strategies to deal with important points such as the type of attributes in the multicriterion problems, agents' reasoning, and intelligent dialogues.

A study was carried out on the effects of processing and composition on the structure and properties of P/M EP741NP type alloys. The objectives of this study were to understand the role of Hf in a P/M superalloy containing high niobium used in aircraft engines and to determine the effects of extrusion and forging the powders as contrasted to HIPing （hot isostatic pressing） only. Two alloys of the P/M EP741NP composition were atomized： one alloy contained 0.26%Hfand the other was Hf free. After the as-atomized powders from both alloys were characterized, the powders were extruded into billets, forged and heat treated. After each process, the microstructures were characterized by sEM and the phases were extracted and identified by X-ray diffraction. The presence of Hf in the residues was probed by EDs （energy dispersive spectroscopy）. The alloys were given the published Russian heat treatment as well as a more conventional heat treatment more typical of western powder alloys. Tensile, creep and stress rupture mechanical property tests were run. Results of the structural behavior of the alloys after each processing step will be presented and discussed. The role of the Hfon the mechanical properties will be discussed.

Materials with a negative Poisson＇s ratio（PR）are called auxetics;they are characterized by expansion/contraction when tensioned/*** this counterintuitive behavior,they present very particular characteristics and mechanical *** models have been developed to justify and artificiall reproduce such materials＇ auxetic *** focus of this study is the exploration of a reentrant model by analyzing the variation in the PR of reentrant structures as a function of geometrical and base material *** is shown that,even in the presence of protruding ribs,there may not be auxetic behavior,and this depends on the geometry of each reentrant *** determined for these parameters can be helpful as approximate reference data in the design and fabrication of auxetic lattices using reentrant geometries.

Comprehensive experiments including monotonic tension and monotonic compression of specimens taken from a rolled AZ31B Mg thick plate along five different material orientations with respect to the rolled direction(RD),and free-end torsion of a tubular specimen machined along the thickness direction(ND)were *** experimental results were used to evaluate an elastic-viscoplastic self-consistent model with the consideration of twinning and detwinning(EVPsC-TDT)on magnesium(Mg)*** EVPsC-TDT model provides stress-strain curves and the hardening rates in close agreement with the experimental results of all the 11 loading *** model adequately predicts the textures after fracture of all the 11 loading cases and the evolutions of tension twins with increasing strains for tension in the ND,compression in the RD,and torsion along the *** swift effect was observed in the experiment and was properly simulated by the model.

Arachis retusa Krapov. et W. C. Gregory et Valls is endemic in the West-central region of Brazil, occurring In areas endangered by human actions. The establishment of in vitro preservation methods for wild species of Arachis is an alternative to seed banks for germplasm storage, multiplication and distribution. The risk of genetic changes Induced by tissue culture and the monitoring of the genetic stability of the biological material before, during and after storage must be considered In the context of conservation. Random amplified polymorphlc ONA （RAPO） and amplified fragment length polymorphism （AFLP） fingerprinting were used to evaluate the genetic stability of in vitro plants originated from cotyledons and embryo axes of A. retusa. Cotyledons originated shoots through direct organogenesls and embryo axes displayed muItishoot formation Induced by 110 mmol/L and 8.8 mmol/L BAP, respectively. Ninety genomlc regions （loci） generated from RAPO and 372 from AFLP analyses were evaluated. All amplified fragments detected by both techniques in plants derived from the two explant types were monomorphic. The results Indicate that the recovered shoots are genetically stable at the assessed genomic regions.
