In this paper, we focus on the design of irregular QC-LDPC code based multi-level coded modulation(MLCM) scheme by jointly optimizing the component code rate and the degree distribution of the irregular QC-LDPC component code. Firstly, the sub-channel capacities of MLCM systems is analyzed and discussed, based on which the optimal component code rate can be obtained. Secondly, an extrinsic information transfer chart based two-stage searching algorithm is proposed to find the good irregular QC-LDPC code ensembles with optimal component code rates for their corresponding sub-channels. Finally, by constructing the irregular QC-LDPC component codes from the designed ensembles with the aim of possibly enlarging the girth and reducing the number of the shortest cycles, the designed irregular QC-LDPC code based 16QAM and 64QAM MLCM systems can achieve 0.4 dB and 1.2 dB net coding gain, respectively, compared with the recently proposed regular QC-LDPC code based 16QAM and 64QAM MLCM systems.

We employed a multiplex polymerase chain reaction （PCR） coupled with capillary electrophoresis （mPCR-CE） targeting six Clostridium difficile genes, including tPi, tcdA, tcdB, cdtA, cdtB, and a deletion in tcdC for simultaneous detection and characterization of toxigenic C. difficile directly from fecal specimens. The mPCR-CE had a limit of detection of 10 colony-forming units per reaction with no cross-reactions with other related bacterial genes. Clinical validation was performed on 354 consecutively collected stool specimens from patients with suspected C. difficile infection and 45 isolates. The results were compared with a reference standard combined with BD MAX Cdiff, real-time cell analysis assay （RTCA）, and mPCR-CE. The toxigenic C. difficile species were detected in 36 isolates and 45 stool specimens by the mPCR-CE, which provided a positive rate of 20.3% （81/399）. The mPCR-CE had a specificity of 97,2% and a sensitivity of 96.0%, which was higher than RTCA （χ^2 = 5.67, P = 0.017） but lower than BD MAX Cdiff （P = 0.245）. Among the 45 strains, 44 （97.8%） were determined as non- ribotype 027 by the mPCR-CE, which was fully agreed with PCR ribotyping. Even though ribotypes 017 （n = 8, 17.8%）, 001 （n = 6, 13.3%）, and 012 （n = 7, 15.6%） were predominant in this region, ribotype 027 was an important genotype monitored routinely. The mPCR-CE provided an alternative diagnosis tool for the simultaneous detection of toxigenic C. difficile in stool and potentially differentiated between RT027 and non-RT027.

Piezoelectric ceramics exhibit three conventional piezoelectric coefficients,i.e.,d33,d31,d15,due to their∞mm crystal symmetry.Unconventional piezoelectric coefficients,such as d11,d12,d13,d14,d16,etc.,can only be extracted from piezoelectric single crystals of special symmetry with specific cut direction.Here we demonstrate a rotated poling method to realize unconventional piezoelectric coefficients in perovskite piezoelectric ceramics.This method is elaborated in theory and experimentally proven to be effective.Full nonzero piezoelectric coefficients in the 36 piezoelectric coefficients matrix can be obtained by combining these“quasi(effective)piezoelectric coefficients”with the conventional piezoelectric coefficients,which would expand applications in a wide variety of piezoelectric devices.

目的分析腹泻患者中艰难梭菌感染(CDI)的危险因素,构建预测CDI的列线图模型。方法回顾性分析2015年8月至2019年7月1055例腹泻患者的临床资料,其中181例确诊为CDI。比较CDI患者与非CDI患者的粪便常规,血常规和血生化的差异。采用多因素Logistic回归分析筛选CDI的危险因素,并基于筛选出的危险因素建立腹泻患者中CDI发生风险的列线图预测模型,通过受试者操作特征曲线评估模型性能。结果1055例腹泻患者中CDI发生率为17.2%。Logistic回归分析结果显示中性粒细胞百分比、总蛋白和钾离子浓度是腹泻患者中提示CDI的独立危险因素(P<0.05);将独立危险因素引入R软件(R3.6.3)构建列线图模型,曲线下面积为0.717。结论基于腹泻患者中CDI的危险因素如中性粒细胞百分比、总蛋白和钾离子浓度建立的列线图预测模型具有良好的区分度,可为CDI的初筛提供指导价值。

Background:Clostridium difficileinfection (CDI) is a major cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhea worldwide,but few studies on relationship between Clostridium difficiletoxin protein expression and CDI severities have been reported.Materials/methods:We collected a total of 860 diarrhea samples,using Techlab Cdiff Quik Check Complete kit and laboratory-developed (LD) assay to test Clostridium difficileglutamate dehydrogenase antigen(GDH),Clostridium difficile(CD) toxin protein and CD toxin gene,then statistically analyzed the clinical data and laboratory results of CDI patients.CDI severities were defined by IDSA/SHEA guidelinesaccording to blinded medical record review.

WRKY transcription factors,transcriptional regulators unique to plants,play an important role in defense response to pathogen infection.However,the resistance mechanisms of WRKY genes in sugarcane remain unclear.In the present study,gene ontology(GO)enrichment analysis revealed that WRKY gene family in sugarcane was extensively involved in the response to biotic stress and in defense response.We identified gene ScWRKY4,a classⅡc member of the WRKY gene family,in sugarcane cultivar ROC22.This gene was induced by salicylic acid(SA)and methyl jasmonate(MeJA)stress.Interestingly,expression of ScWRKY4 was down-regulated in smut-resistant sugarcane cultivars but up-regulated in smutsusceptible sugarcane cultivars infected with Sporisorium scitamineum.Moreover,stable overexpression of the ScWRKY4 gene in Nicotiana benthamiana enhanced susceptibility to Fusarium solani var.coeruleum and caused down-regulated expression of immune marker-related genes.Transcriptome analysis indicated suppressed expression of most JAZ genes in the signal transduction pathway.ScWRKY4 interacted with ScJAZ13 to repress its expression.We thus hypothesized that the ScWRKY4 gene was involved in the regulatory network of plant disease resistance,most likely through the JA signaling pathway.The present study depicting the molecular involvement of ScWRKY4 in sugarcane disease resistance lays a foundation for future investigation.

The next-generation optical network is a service oriented network,which could be delivered by utilizing the generalized multiprotocol label switching(GMPLS) based control plane to realize lots of intelligent features such as rapid provisioning,automated protection and restoration(P&R),efficient resource allocation,and support for different quality of service(QoS) requirements.In this paper,we propose a novel stateful PCE-cloud(SPC)based architecture of GMPLS optical networks for cloud services.The cloud computing technologies(e.***.virtualization and parallel computing) are applied to the construction of SPC for improving the reliability and maximizing resource utilization.The functions of SPC and GMPLS based control plane are expanded according to the features of cloud services for different QoS requirements.The architecture and detailed description of the components of SPC are provided.Different potential cooperation relationships between public stateful PCE cloud(PSPC) and region stateful PCE cloud(RSPC) are investigated.Moreover,we present the policy-enabled and constraint-based routing scheme base on the cooperation of PSPC and RSPC.Simulation results for verifying the performance of routing and control plane reliability are analyzed.
