Graphical password： prevent shoulder-surfing attack using digraph substitution rules

In this paper, a new scheme that uses digraph substitution rules to conceal the mechanism or activity re- quired to derive password-images is proposed. In the pro- posed method, a user is only required to click on one of the pass-image instead of both pass-images shown in each chal- lenge set for three consecutive sets. While this activity is sim- ple enough to reduce login time, the images clicked appear to be random and can only be obtained with complete knowl- edge of the registered password along with the activity rules. Thus, it becomes impossible for shoulder-surfing attackers to obtain the information about which password images and pass-images are used by the user. Although the attackers may know about the digraph substitution rules used in the pro- posed method, the scenario information used in each chal- lenge set remains. User study results reveal an average login process of less than half a minute. In addition, the proposed method is resistant to shoulder-surfing attacks.

Crop diseases have a significant impact on plant growth and can lead to reduced *** methods of disease detection rely on the expertise of plant protection experts,which can be subjective and dependent on individual experience and *** address this,the use of digital image recognition technology and deep learning algorithms has emerged as a promising approach for automating plant disease *** this paper,we propose a novel approach that utilizes a convolutional neural network(CNN)model in conjunction with Inception v3 to identify plant leaf *** research focuses on developing a mobile application that leverages this mechanism to identify diseases in plants and provide recommendations for overcoming specific *** models were trained using a dataset consisting of 80,848 images representing 21 different plant leaves categorized into 60 distinct *** rigorous training and evaluation,the proposed system achieved an impressive accuracy rate of 99%.This mobile application serves as a convenient and valuable advisory tool,providing early detection and guidance in real agricultural *** significance of this research lies in its potential to revolutionize plant disease detection and management *** automating the identification process through deep learning algorithms,the proposed system eliminates the subjective nature of expert-based diagnosis and reduces dependence on individual *** integration of mobile technology further enhances accessibility and enables farmers and agricultural practitioners to swiftly and accurately identify diseases in their crops.

Comparative analysis of current diagnostic PCR assays in detecting pathogenic Leptospira isolates from environmental samples

Objective:To compare the efficiency of routine diagnostic PCR assays in detecting pathogenic Leptospira isolated from water and ***:Seven routine assays targeting six genes(lip L32,fla B,gyr B,lfb1,sec Y and lig B)were evaluated and compared on the cultures of two groups of pathogenic Leptospira from different *** group included 19 described reference strains recovered from infected human or animals,and another group included 22 environmental isolates from recreational and residential sites in *** latter have been confirmed for presence of pathogenic Leptospira *** positivity or detection sensitivity of each assay was determined and compared between the two ***:Validation on reference strains showed 100.0%PCR sensitivity for all assays except lig B-PCR(95.0%)that failed to amplify Leptospira interrogans serovar *** marked contrast,there was a notable decline in sensitivity in the environmental isolates(lip L32-PCR,95.5%;fla B-PCR,90.9%;gyr B-PCR,77.3%;lfb1-PCR,59.1%;sec Y-PCRs,40.9%G1/G2-PCR,36.4%;lig B-PCR,13.6%),implying a large genetic distance between the two groups,as well as nucleotide polymorphism among environmental ***:High proportion of false-negative PCR results suggests a need of prudent selection of primers in detecting environmental pathogenic *** findings offer valuable insights on the extensive biodiversity of genus Leptospira and its impact on the efficacy and development of molecular detection tool.

Background The receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 2 （ROR2） gene has been recently shown to play important roles in palatal development in animal models and resides in the chromosomal region linked to non syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate in *** aim of this study was to investigate the possible association between ROR2 gene and non-syndromic oral *** Here we tested 38 eligible single-nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） in ROR2 gene in 297 non-syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate and in 82 non-syndromic cleft palate case parent trios recruited from Asia and *** Based Association Test was used to test for deviation from Mendelian *** software was used to test potential parent of origin *** maternally mediated in utero effects were assessed using the TRlad Multi-Marker approach under an assumption of mating symmetry in the *** Significant evidence of linkage and association was shown for 3 SNPs （rs7858435,rs10820914 and rs3905385） among 57 Asian non-syndromic cleft palate trios in Family Based Association Tests.P values for these 3 SNPs equaled to 0.000068,0.000115 and 0.000464 respectively which were all less than the significance level （0.05/38=0.0013） adjusted by strict Bonferroni *** odds ratios for the risk allele were 3.42 （1.80-6.50）,3.45 （1.75-6.67） and 2.94 （1.56-5.56）,*** evidence of linkage and association was not shown for study groups other than non-syndromic cleft *** evidence for parent-of-origin nor maternal genotypic effect was shown for any of the ROR2 markers in our analysis for all study *** Our results provided evidence of linkage and association between the ROR2 gene and a gene controlling risk to non-syndromic cleft palate.
