Quantitative effects of phase transition on solute partition coefficient,inclusion precipitation, and microsegregation for high-sulfur steel solidification

Segregation and inclusion precipitation are the common behaviours of steel solidification, which are resulted from the redistribution and diffusion of the solute elements at the solid-liquid interface. The effect of the phase transition of high-sulfur free-cutting steel is quantified in the present work for the solute partition coefficient(ki), inclusion precipitation, and microsegregation by establishing a coupling model of microsegregation and inclusion precipitation, wherein the quantified dependencies of ki in terms of temperature, phase and carbon(C) content were applied. Results showed that the solidification temperature range and phase transition of high-sulfur steel that under different solidification paths and C contents were quite different, leading to differences in ki and eventually in microsegregation. kC,kP, and kS were mainly affected by phase composition and kSi was primarily by temperature, while kMn depended on both phase composition and temperature during solidification. Increasing the C content within the interval 0.07-0.48 wt%, the ‘proportion of the δ phase maintained temperature region during solidification’(Pδ), kave Pand kave S(kiave, the average value of the ki across the whole stages of solidification)decreased monotonically, whereas kave Cincreased linearly. The peritectic reaction impacted on the phase composition and ki, leading to the change in microsegregation. Such effect of the peritectic reaction was more significant at the last stage of solidification. When the Pδ was between 75% and 100%(corresponding to 0.07-0.16 wt% C), the solidification path resulted in a greater effect on the microsegregation of solutes C, P, and S because of the peritectic reaction. The microsegregation of solutes Mn and S were comprehensively influenced by kMn, kS and Mn S precipitation as well. The studies would help reveal the solute redistribution at the solid-liquid interface, and improve the segregation of high-sulfur steel by controlling the solidification and precipitation in practice.

为研究实际工业应用中不同微合金化方式对2 GPa热成型钢折弯性能和氢致延迟开裂性能的影响,在模具热冲压后,对采用Nb-Ti和V-Ti两种微合金化方式的2 GPa热成型钢的上述能进行了表征。结果表明:Nb-Ti微合金钢的折弯与氢致延迟开裂性能要优于V-Ti微合金钢,无镀层微合金钢的折弯与氢致延迟开裂性能要显著优于铝硅镀层钢;与V-Ti微合金化相比,Nb-Ti微合金化的细晶作用、更加细小的析出物尺寸、片状或细条状的析出物形貌、淬火后马氏体的特殊亚结构均有利于提高2 GPa热成型钢的折弯与氢致延迟开裂性能;铝硅镀层硬而脆的特征与对氢扩散的“封闭”作用,削弱了铝硅镀层钢的折弯与氢致延迟开裂性能。

流化床结晶(FBC)造粒技术是一种强化诱导结晶的过程,可以同时实现水体净化和回收捕集水体中有价资源的目标.该技术具有传质速率高、不产生污泥、结晶颗粒含水率低、易于固液分离、绿色环保的优点.本文综述了技术的发展背景、工艺基础、工作原理,分析了进水浓度、沉淀药剂、载体、水力条件等因素对FBC处理重金属废水效果的影响.综述了国内外FBC造粒技术处理镍、铜、锌、铅、砷等单一废水和多金属混合废水的研究进展,应用研究表明该技术处理重金属废水是无害化、资源化的优良工艺.不仅解决重金属废水的排放问题,还将水体中的重金属转化为金属盐,可再利用于金属行业,对环境十分友好.最后指出了目前研究中存在的问题以及今后的研究方向和重点,对该技术的发展进行了展望.

Three-dimensional measurements on the mandible of patients with hemifacial microsomia

Background:Hemifacial microsomia(HFM),which involves multiple sites with different levels of severity,is the second most common congenital craniofacial deformity after cleft lip and palate.However,three-dimensional(3D)measurements of mandibular deformities have not yet been studied in detail.The objective of this study is to investigate the method of 3D measurements of mandibular deformities in HFM patients.Methods:A total of 48 HFM patients were included in this study.All clinical treatment for patients was performed in the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences at Peking Union Medical College from June 2006 to June 2020.The patients’3D computerized tomography scan data were processed using medical imaging software,following four iterative steps:3D reconstruction,mirroring,differential analysis,and partition.Results:The characteristics of the mandibular bone in HFM patients are mainly presented as follows:(1)compared to the normal side,the part of the bone body that extends from the ascending ramus to the pogonion(Po-NB)is analyzed using a dynamic process:less fullness-fullness-more fullness;(2)absences were frequently observed among the angular zones,that is,the height of the ascending ramus is deficient.Conclusions:HFM is a complicated condition with numerous variations in clinical presentation.We employed both 3D image reconstruction and computerization image processing techniques to investigate asymmetrical mandibular deformity in HFM patients in detail and with great accuracy.This will be of great use to clinicians for disease management.

Rethinking Yi’an(Medical Cases)as a Tool for Narrative Medicine in China

When narrative medicine(NM)was introduced into China,traditional Chinese medicine scholars found that the core concepts advocated by NM are manifested in Chinese yi’an.But why NM echoes with ancient Chinese yi’an?How can we better integrate NM into Chinese medical practices?To answer those questions,this article first investigates how NM establishes itself as a remedy to biomedicine by taking traditional healing models including TCM as its ideal Other.Then,the narrative traditions of both case histories and yi’an are examined respectively.This article argues that NM is searching for a lost tradition of narrative case histories,but yi’an functions as a living tradition of TCM.The Parallel Chart in NM,designed as a complement to the dehumanized hospital chart,is still based on a dichotomy of science and art and a conflictual doctor-patient model.But yi’an exemplifies the holistic and humane healthcare that NM hopes to achieve.A comparison of both genres also inspired us to rethink the genre of yi’an in NM.Thus,it is concluded that yi’an should be viewed as an epistemic genre integrating individualization and generalization,a bridge linking medicine and literature.And narrative yi’an can well serve as a tool for NM in China.It is also proposed that a thick description of yi’an be encouraged to further promote a pluralistic NM in China.

为研究表面活性剂CTAB对粘土的工程特性的影响,通过室内渗透、剪切、压缩与开裂试验,考察了表面活性剂对不同蒙脱石含量下粘土的渗透系数、抗剪力学参数、压缩系数的影响规律,基于裂隙率、节点个数、土块个数等指标,揭示了表面活性剂作用下粘土的开裂特性。试验结果表明:添加表面活性剂后粘土的渗透系数和抗剪强度均增大,压缩系数降低,其中蒙脱石含量为29.6%的粘土添加表面活性剂后渗透系数在10^(-8)cm/s级别;表面活性剂能降低粘土的开裂程度,当其溶液的浓度低于且最接近临界胶束浓度时,开裂抑制效果最为明显。试验结果为表面活性剂改性粘土做卫生填埋场覆盖层提供了技术参数。

A Singular Moser-Trudinger Inequality on Metric Measure Space
