Facial emotion recognition achieves great success with the help of large neural models but also fails to be applied in practical situations due to the large model size of neural *** bridge this gap,in this paper,we combine two mainstream model compression methods(pruning and quantization)together,and propose a pruningthen-quantization framework to compress the neural models for facial emotion recognition *** on three datasets show that our model could achieve a high model compression ratio and maintain the model’s high performance ***,We analyze the layer-wise compression performance of our proposed framework to explore its effect and adaptability in fine-grained modules.

By Mobile Edge Computing(MEC), computation-intensive tasks are offloaded from mobile devices to cloud servers, and thus the energy consumption of mobile devices can be notably reduced. In this paper, we study task offloading in multi-user MEC systems with heterogeneous clouds, including edge clouds and remote clouds. Tasks are forwarded from mobile devices to edge clouds via wireless channels, and they can be further forwarded to remote clouds via the Internet. Our objective is to minimize the total energy consumption of multiple mobile devices, subject to bounded-delay requirements of tasks. Based on dynamic programming, we propose an algorithm that minimizes the energy consumption, by jointly allocating bandwidth and computational resources to mobile devices. The algorithm is of pseudo-polynomial complexity. To further reduce the complexity, we propose an approximation algorithm with energy discretization, and its total energy consumption is proved to be within a bounded gap from the optimum. Simulation results show that, nearly 82.7% energy of mobile devices can be saved by task offloading compared with mobile device execution.

Cardiac fibroblasts(CFs)are the primary cells tasked with depositing and remodeling collagen and significantly associated with heart failure(HF).TEAD1 has been shown to be essential for heart development and ***,fibroblast endogenous TEAD1 in cardiac remodeling remains incompletely *** analyses revealed consistently upregulated cardiac TEAD1 expression in mice 4 weeks after transverse aortic constriction(TAC)and Ang-l *** investigation revealed that CFs were the primary cell type expressing elevated TEAD1 levels in response to pressure *** TEAD1 knockout was achieved by crossing TEAD1-floxed mice with CFs-and myofibroblasts-specific Cre *** and histological analyses demonstrated that CFs-and myofibroblasts-specific TEAD1 deficiency and treatment with TEAD1 inhibitor,VT103,ameliorated TAC-induced cardiac ***,RNA-seq and ChiP-seq analysis identified Wnt4 as a novel TEAD1 ***1 has been shown to promote the fibroblast-to-myofibroblast transition through the Wnt signalling pathway,and genetic Wnt4 knockdown inhibited the pro-transformation phenotype in CFs with TEAD1 ***,coimmunoprecipitation combined with mass spectrometry,chromatin immunoprecipitation,and luciferase assays demonstrated interaction between TEAD1 and BET protein BRD4,leading to the binding and activation of the Wnt4 *** conclusion,TEAD1 is an essential regulator of the pro-fibrotic CFs phenotype associated with pathological cardiac remodeling via the BRD4/Wnt4 signallingpathway.

人们在日常生活中会用到各种各样的手势,如何将不同的手势与现有的智能可穿戴设备等结合起来对生活质量的提升有不可或缺的作用,利用太阳能相关设备的光电转换特性可以很好地解决手势识别和设备能耗问题。在柔性太阳能电池与手势识别结合的研究中,采集了5种常用手势数据,进行了Z-Score、低通滤波、滑动窗口等信号处理方法,并利用随机森林、支持向量机和神经网络等对其进行分类,成功地在小样本的基础上实现了100%的预测精度,可以证明该方法在手势识别的应用中有显著优势。

Persistence of VRC01-resistant HIV-1 during antiretroviral therapy

VRC01,a broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibody(bnmAb),can neutralize a diverse array of HIV-1 isolates by mimicking CD4 binding to the envelope glycoprotein *** have previously demonstrated the presence of VRC01-resistant strains in an HIV-1 infected patient during antiretroviral ***,we report follow-up studies of two subsequent samples from the same *** genetic and phenotypic analysis of over 70 full-length molecular clones of the HIV-1 envelope,we show that VRC01-resistant HIV-1 continued to exist and change in its proportion of the infecting virus during treatment with a highly active antiretroviral *** with our previous observation,the resistant phenotype was associated with a single asparagine residue at position 460(N460),a potential N-linked glycosylation site in the V5 *** persistence and continuing evolution of VRC01-resistant HIV-1 in vivo presents a great challenge to our future preventative and therapeutic interventions based on VRC01.
